In the recently concluded matches of U23 Women’s One Day Tournament, Jemimah opening the innings and Mumbai chasing 150 runs came up with a sparkling knock of 100* in 104 balls. Not only she took control of the chase smashing 16 boundaries at a healthy strike rate, she enjoyed taking on the bowlers with absolute ease and smoothness. It was her unbeaten ton which helped Mumbai defeat Madhya Pradesh by 7 wkts.
In the next match vs Maharashtra on 26th March, Mumbai team after putting up a gritty total of 220 runs on board, it was again Mumbai’s opener Jemimah leading from the front with a effervescent 69 off 71 balls. Jemimah smashed 8 fours and a six keeping the scoreboard ticking while Manali Dakshini’s 49 down the order also came in handy in that match. Maharashtra in reply were bundled out for 142 runs with one of the promising bowlers Saniya Raut picking up 4 wkts for 24 runs in 9.1 overs as Mumbai won the match by 78 runs.
