All Cargo played against Capgemini in the Milan 40 overs tournament at Youth’s own cricket club ground, Churchgate.
Batting first All Cargo scored 235 runs in their quota of 40 overs. Openers gave a solid start to All Cargo. Deepak scoring 63 and Vishwas scoring 65 runs. They got good support from Atish and Rajas. Capgemini controlled the game well in the last 10 overs and some what restricting All Cargo score.


Capgemini had a very good chance of registering a hard fought win mainly thanks to their opener Jitendra Panchal. Jitendra showed a big heart scoring 108 runs off 115 balls. But he got absolutely no support from the other. Once he was removed, Capgemini lost all their hopes and conceded a 28 run victory to All Cargo. It was a good satisfying win for All Cargo. Vishwas Shinde was adjudged Man of the Match for a fine opening knock.
In one of the high scoring matches this weekend in the Mumbai corporate tournaments, Naaptol online beat Babyoye by 3 wickets and 7 balls to spare.
This match of the well known Milan trophy, which was played at Cross maidan, Churchgate, Naaptol online elected to field first after winning the toss. Babyoye posted a respectable score of 183 runs in their 20 overs with major contributions from Vinay Naik, Swapnil and Sachin Khot. Sachin was unfortunate to miss his half century by just a run. Nevertheless 183 was a formidable total batting first. Srinivas and Nilesh of Naaptol took 2 wickets each while opening bowler Ashish showed excellent control giving away only 15 runs in his 4 overs.
Naaptol’s top order was upto the task and each of top 3 performed. Special mention needs to be given to opener Abhishek Pande who scored a quick half century (59 runs off 40 balls). Other opener Moez Khan and Ashish amin scored 25 and 41 respectively. But Naaptol kept losing wickets at regular intervals. It was the extras that cost Babyoye too much. Even though Naaptol kept losing wickets they did pretty good on the required run rate and eventually run this high scoring encounter by 3 wickets and 7 balls to spare.
Abhishek Pande was declared Man of the Match!!!
In another one sided match of the last league match of AT20, SSA Strikers defeated Collage sports by a huge 145 runs.
Batting first SSA scored a massive 214 runs. All top 6 batsmen except Bele, scored quickly helping SSA with 214. Shirke scored patient 52 off 50 balls while Koli scored brisk 59 off 24 balls. Awate was the only bright spot for Collage who took 2 wickets while conceding only 7 RPO in his spell.
Collage innings folded for mere 69 runs in 17 overs. Gujar took 3 wickets while Gawade and Surve took 2 wickets each. For Collage Design only one batsman, Lad, was able to reach double figures, scoring 25 runs.
Mahesh was at his usual best once again in the match between Edifice Consultant’s Private Limited and STUP Supersonics in the final league match of the AT20 tournament.
Edifice batting first scored a mammoth 216 runs in 20 overs. Mahesh was the top scorer scoring 54 off just 25 balls hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. Jivani, Sarangan and Jadhav in the middle order played little cameos helping post a more than healthy total for Edifice.
In reply STUP could muster only 85 runs but surprisingly managed to play out their 20 overs. Mahesh was again the star with the ball taking 3 scalps in his 4 overs giving away only 17 runs.
There were no surprises as Mahesh was chosen Man of the Match for the second match in a row.
In the match between Zuentus and Cleartrip played at M. B. Union ground, Zuentus won the toss and chose to bat first. Zuentus opener, Chetan Khetan played a good knock scoring 54 off just 43 balls. He was well complemented by middle order batsman Makarand. They both help Zuentus put up a decent total 154 on board. Shakir of Cleartrip was exceptional with the ball picking up 4 wickets for 32 runs.

Cleartrip’s chase never got going due to some tight bowling by Zuentus bowling. Cleartrip could manage only 115 runs loosing all their wickets in the process. Makarand and Manish took 2 wickets each. For Cleartrip, Sohail Shaikh and Fayyaz Patwe scored 29 and 28 respectively.
Chetan was declared Man of the Match for his 54 off 43.
Tournament : Architects League AT20 Event Organizer : One World of Sports
The League stages of renowned AT20 (Architects Championship Trophy) is coming to an end. This weekend’s matches pose some interesting and pressure situations for teams to qualify for the knock out stage.
Based on various team’s current position, event organizer, One world of Sports has compiled a report detailing various scenarios for teams to progress. While 4 teams have already been eliminated, other 10 teams are in the race and would also look to line themselves up against weaker teams in knock out. Here is the analysis:
Tournament : DSC Challenge cup – 2
1st match: ICC vs UBMC Result : ICC won by 7 wickets

Batting first UBMC scored 166 runs losing just 5 wickets in 20 overs. It was a good total considering the opposition bowling. Vikas M. for ICC took 2 wickets in his 4 overs giving away only 11 runs.
ICC openers Suraj Sharma and Rohit Sahu gave a rollicking start of 130 runs in just 66 balls. Rohit scored 64 in 42 balls hitting 12 balls to the fence while Suraj scored 59 runs in 33 balls 6 boundaries and 2 maximums.
In the end ICC won by 7 wickets and Rohit Sahu was declared Man of the Match.
2nd match : CPCC vs Dindoshi sports club Result : Dindoshi Sports Club won by 42 runs

Dindoshi Sports club scored a massive 205 in their 20 overs but were all out on the last ball of their innings. There were 2 batting stars for Dindoshi, Vinayak Maske scoring 63 off 36 and ever reliable, Aniket Naiksatam scoring 71 off 33 balls that included 6 maximums.
CPCC gave a good chase and at one stage looked threatening. It took a fine spell by Jasbir Singh Mankoo to dash CPCC’s hopes. Jasbir took 3 wickets in his 2 overs conceding only 5 runs.
Jasbir’s spell earned him MoM and also helped his team win by 42 runs.
Tournament : Times Shield Venue : Sassanian, Azad Maidan
Match : Mafatlal Vs Standard Chartered
Result : Mafatlal won by 10 wickets
In a totally one sided match in Division ‘C’ of Times Shield Trophy, Mafatlal bundled out Standard Chartered for a paltry 70 runs. Only SC’s opener S. Kadri put up some resistance with his 42 ball 22 runs. Mafatlal had to use only 3 of their bowlers to do the job. All 3 bowlers took wickets. While Akbar Khan took 4 wickets in his 5 overs conceding only 8 runs, their opener duo, Mangesh Jadhav and Vishwanath Parmar took 3 wickets each. SC’s innings lasted only for 30 overs.
Mafatlal achieved the target without losing a wicket in less than 15 overs, registering a massive win.

7th Open Medico Double Wickets Cricket Tournament
Seventh Open Medico Double wickets Cricket Tournament was held on Sunday 6th December 2015 at Dadoji Konddeo Stadium, Thane. Malad Medico’s well known Dentists, Dr.Hitesh Pawar and Dr.Sudeep Baxi after winning toss put Goregaon Medico’s General Medical Practitioners , Dr. Jaswinder Singh and Dr. Waqar into bat . They scored 23 runs in four overs of four balls over but due to 4 times dismissals, their corrected total was 11 only. In reply, Malad Medicos Dr.Hitesh Pawar was dismised on very first ball. Still they went for big shots thus scoring 44 runs but in that process they lost one wickets. Hence corrected score was 44-6= 39 so they won by wide margin of 28 runs and lifted 7th Medico Double Wickets Trophy, a symbol of supremacy in Medico Double Wickets version.
Earlier in one Semi-final Dr.Hitesh Pawar and Dr. Sudeep Baxi defeated 4 years back winners, Dr. D.Y.Patil Sports Academy’s Dr. Unmesh Khanvilkar and Dr. Rajesh Sadaphule by 36-17 while other Semi-final Dr. Jaswinder Singh and Dr. Waqar took into their stride Vikhroli Medicos Father and Son Dr. Virendra and Dr. Amit Upadhyaya by 21-17.
Wicket Keeper Siddhesh Gawas & Fielder Sai Phondekar were adjudicated The Best Fielders. Fielders from Mr.. Kiran Salgaonkar Academy presented a Good Fielding Show.
Mr. Vishwanath K. R. ,a well known former cricket Umpire from Thane and former Regional Manager of Hitachi Power Tools was The Chief Guest and gave away the prizes. Cricket Umpires, Mr. Ashish Bist,, Mr. Mahesh Inamdar, Mr, Rajendra Khare, Scorer Gautam Tambe ,and Mr. Vijay Vaze, Trustee of The Sports Foundation, were present on The dias.

Match : Edifice Consultants Private Limited Vs. DSP
Result: Edifice won by 62 runs
In modern day cricket, there are very few all rounders who open the innings for their team with both bat and ball. Mahesh Hirpara of Edifice is one of them. He could find a place in any Architects T20 team just as a batsman or as a bowler.
Mahesh showed his class in their teams win against DSP in Architects T20 cricket tournament. Batting first Edifice scored 161 runs, mainly due to top score of 76 by Mahesh. He was in top gear right from the word go scoring at will, hitting 8 boundaries and 4 sixes, taking only 40 balls. He was well supported by A. Jiwani who scored 54 runs before getting run out.
Mahesh was back at DSP again when they came to bat, this time with the ball though. Mahesh picked up 4 wickets in his spell of 4 overs conceding only 16 runs. Sarangan complimented Mahesh pretty well with 3 wicket haul. DSP folded out for 99, handing a 62 runs victory to Edifice.
