Lohana Holidays skipper’s all round performance shatters dream of Terabytes Infosys to reach the Finals
In a hard fought match all round performance of skipper Nikhil Dodhi of Lohana Holidays sealed the place in finals of OMTEX CUP 2015-16.
Today all went right for Nikhil, starting by winning the toss and inviting Terabytes Infosys to bat first on very true strip at Payyade Sports Ground. Team Terabytes suffered early set back by losing Umesh, but men in form Kapil Sota (88) had a decent partnership with Sandeep Bharucha. During middle overs loss of three quick wickets jolts Team Terabytes but again resistance came when Captain Mitesh Rawal(34) steadied ship in Kapil Sota’s company. Again a mini collapse hampers the teams progress of reaching a big target but in the end Kunal Patel(33runs) played responsible knock with Jigar Shah(29 runs ) and took Team Terabytes to respectable total of 274 runs . Team Lohana Holidays bowlers Amit Sheth, Mitul Sheth, Nikhil Dodhi & Khalid Mulani restricted the opposition in the death overs and team Terabyte were bowled out in the 39 th Over
In reply regular openers started slowly, after losing Jitu Mehta and Amit Shah it was all the way Team Lohana as brilliant and responsible knock by Rajesh Mehta (60 in 52 balls) and Deep Thakkar missed the well deserved century by 2 runs (66 balls 98 runs) provided solid platform to chase the target of 275 runs . Later unbeaten 76 runs in 59 balls by Skipper gets Team Lohana Holidays home with more than 3 overs to spare. It was hard fought game as Skipper of Terabytes used 10 bowlers but all efforts goes in vain.
With the results levelled at 1 -1 between the two finalists ,Lohana holidays once again meets Team Omtex in the finals on 30th Jan 2016…
