Amit pandey in the Kanga match against New Amrit Cricket Club,  had figures of 15 overs 7 Maidens 7 runs and 6 wickets under his belt. Am I surprised ? NOT AT All ! Here is a Sneak Peak into this Young Buddy of mine.

Amit Pandey started playing for Prabhu Jolly club since last year. He is Exceptional in all the KEY ATTRIBUTES that are required in a Young Fast Bowling Alrounder.

He has all the Technical Attributes of Fast Bowling Sorted out. His Command on the Line, Length, wrist position is exceptional. He hardly ever Bowls a Bad delivery which is Reflected in his Economy Rate. And he does this Match After Match. But what happens during the match is an Outcome of what he does OFF the Field.

He Trains very Hard. He Runs for an hour and half every morning. Then he runs for Half an hour with a Tyre around his waist. Then he Bowls for more than Couple of Hours a day. That is why he is able to bowl 15 overs at a stretch without any dip in pace or control. We lovingly call him COMMANDO KHANDAGLE ( A popular army name from the popular film Prahar). He is at the batsman all the time.

He has a Fantastic Attitude. He has a lot of Respect for all the Senior players in the team. U will always see him interacting pleasently with all the Gurus around all the Maidans. His Appetite for being ready to Learn about Quick Bowling and Fitness is insurmountable.

That is What MY AMIT PANDEY is. A Happy Soul, an always Smiling Fun loving boy who is CRAZY ENOUGH to chose Fast Bowling and be ready to go through the Tough Rigours of Training with Happiness.

I Love Everything about Amit. Just one thing I don’t like about him is that he finishes off the whole teams Liquid fluid and my Personal bottle as well. I guess i need to hide it in more safe Hideouts !

It was a one sided affair in Mumbai between Gaud Saraswat and Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana on 21st August, when the two sides faced off in a C division Kanga League match. Winning the toss and electing to field first, Jolly Gymkhana bowled out Gaud Saraswat for 103 in 41.3 overs, thanks to bowling brilliance of Prashant Karia who picked up 4-12 in 8.3 overs. Karia was exceptional with the ball, and he caught the batsmen on the wrong foot for multiple times. Middle order bat Suraj Patil top scored with 37 runs and received good support from the opening bat Akshad Penthari, who made 25 runs.

In the second innings, Jolly Gymkhana was bundled out for a miserable 27 in 23.3 overs and was enforced follow-on. Akbar Khan and Bharat Solanki bowled well in tandem to grab three wickets apiece. Trailing by 96 runs, Jolly Gymkhana, again got off to a rocky start. The game closed at 27-2 in 20 overs. Akbar Khan and Bharat Solanki were again among the wickets picking up one wicket each. Khan and Solanki were the wreckers-in-chief and were pivotal in Gaud Saraswat’s success.

Though the match resulted in a draw, Gaud Saraswat got an edge with its first innings lead.
