Ishan continues his stellar form while Sandesh’s 4wkts steers Abbott to a finals win of the Milan T20 Corporate Tournament‘18

Played at the Sachivalay ground, now it was time for the all important finals between Abbott and Disney where in Abbott team is good form winning matches with solid batting line up consisting of some in-form players like Ishan Mithbavkar and Shantanu, on the other hand was Disney who have also showed they can be tough to defeat with a balanced side in their arsenal.

Abbott won the toss and notched up a very decent score of 165/4 in 18overs after batting first which is definately a very defendable score. Once again the openers failed to provide a flying start but it was their in-form Ishan just fresh from a ton in the semi-finals continuing his purple patch as he went on to score a stroke filled 81 off mere 48balls. Even in the finals, he was looking all set for a century smashing the bowlers with dominance hitting 11fours and 2sixes in his quick 81. All-rounder Shantanu also gave a helping hand with 23 along with Sandesh Bhoir giving a finishing touch scoring 31* off 19balls.

Defending 165, the pressure was more on Disney to bat at more than 9runs per over till the end. However, they gave an excellent fight and it was definitely a hard fought finals where in Hitesh Kolwankar 60 off 34 (9fours.1 six) and Vikas Shinde 49* off 27 (4fours, 2sixes) almost turned the tables in Disney’s favor. However, the match which remained a thriller till the last ball fell into the luck of Abbott’s favor as they won the match by a mere one run. The bowlers did a good job with Sandesh Agare being the pick of the bowlers coming up with 4/28 in 4overs to dent Disney’s batting line up.4.
