Jolly Cricketers after being made to bat first at the Cross Maidan MB Union wicket were all out for 95 runs in 24.2 overs. The bowlers bowled tight providing wickets at regular intervals. Atharva Bhosale (3/9), Amol Patil (3/33) and Hitesh Chorghe (3/28) were the pick of the bowlers for MB Union CC.
Trailing 96, MB Union were in for a deep trouble with 4 down for just 20 runs on the board thanks to some quality fast bowling by Ravi Shinde and Akash Kharvi. Ayush Vartak who came when team was struggling at 19/3 was doing good defence making small partnerships. However, he suffered a serious blow to his leg after trying to dive in the quest to clinch a quick single.
His leg dripped in blood, Ayush just took on the first aid and kept on batting till 4 pm until his team equaled the total with the opposition. MB Union from 4/20 surpassed the 1st innings trail scoring 97/9 in 34.2 overs thanks to some fighting knocks by Ayush Vartak (29) and Hitesh Chorghe (20) at the middle order. Ayush was run out while trying to take the winning run but his team eventually won the match on 1st innings lead.

Ravi Shinde with 6/32 in 13.2 overs had made life hostile for the MB Union batsman as he displayed a quality spell of fast bowling, however the fighting spirit of MB Union players & especially young Ayush ensured their team clinch a memorable win which they shall remember for a long long time.
In the 2nd innings, Jolly Cricketers batted for 16.1 overs for the loss of 5 wkts and all the wickets were taken by left-arm spinner Amol Patil who took 5/20 in 8.1 overs coupled with 5 maidens. Post match, Vartak got a scolding from the doctor as well as 5 official stitches.

Sangam Sports Club batting first at Azad Maidan could muster a total of 116/10 in 32.5 overs. Even though most of the players struggled it was opener Vinit Mestry top scoring with a solid 51 off 50 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes). Vinit has been impressive this season as he has showed some good

playing innings under pressure. From the bowlers, Nikhil Ajgaonkar (3/20) and Aniket Juvekar (3/8) were the pick of the lot taking 3 wkts a piece with their spin bowling.
Gamdevi Cricketers who lost their openers early got back into the game thanks to a whirlwind knock of 100* in 75 balls. Left-handed Aniket took on the bowlers with domination smashing as many as 8 sixes & 9 boundaries. Not only was Aniket’s innings a feast to the eyes for the spectators but this ton also becomes one of the fastest hundreds of this year’s kanga helping his team win on 1st innings lead declaring their innings at 161/4 dec in 29.3 overs.
Sangam SC were 74/6 in the 2nd innings at the end of the game’s play.
Aarey CC opting to bat first registered a healthy total of 276/10 in 45 overs. The openers gave a decent start while no.3 batsman Sourabh Mahadik scored a handy 56 off 45 balls to develop the positive momentum. Aarey CC did lost a few quick wickets in between but it was Yadnesh Sawant at no.6 hitting a match winning knock of 98 runs in mere 70 balls laced with 12 boundaries. It was on the back of his fruitful knock where he fell just 2 short of a deserving ton did his team reach a competitive total.
Chasing a big target, the pressure did run on the opposition team as Our CC were wrapped up for mere 54 runs all out in 24.3 overs. Spinner Raj Menda bowled a very effective spell coming up with brilliant bowling figures of 4/7 in 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers also gave good support as Aarey CC went on to win the match by a massive margin of 221 runs.
Apollo CC after being put to bat first registered a 1st innings total of 128/10 in 56 overs. With most of the batsman struggling, it was Tejas More at no.3 scoring half of the team runs single handedly. Tejas went on to score an unbeaten 66* off 145 balls laced with 3 boundaries. It was an innings of pure substance as he dodged the bowlers and pushed his team towards a almost decent total. Left arm spinner Aarav Narayan with 4/26 and Riyansh Shah with 2/23 were the pick of the lot for Mazgaon CC.
Mazgaon CC in reply were all out for 78 runs in 61.5 overs thanks to a match winning bowling spell by left arm spinner Mohit Singh who took 5/24 in 16 overs coupled with 7 maidens. Mohit was spot on with the ball as he kept providing his team breakthroughs at crucial junctures.
Apollo CC batted well in the 2nd innings with Tejas Morey once again hitting an elegant half century. Tejas remained unbeaten on 52* off 86 balls while he stitched a 94 run unbeaten stand with opener Soham Dawane who smashed 51 off 111 balls.
Apollo CC were 137/2 in 2nd innings at the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings lead.
The final of the DSO U-17 tournament, between TVM school and MBBI was played at pdtsa ground. TVM won the toss and elected to bat first. Due to overnight rain, the wicket was covered and the match started post the stipulated time late in the afternoon. The wicket was slightly sticky and offered the bowlers some purchase.
For TVM, ShivramYadav and Prateek Yadav opened the innings, both went all guns blazing and scored 34 and 45 respectively . The MBBI bowlers leaked 26 extras and that mounted the score to a total of 105 in 8 overs.
In the second innings of the game, the opening partnership of MBBI failed and opening batsman Soham was the lone fighter on the field. He took the bowlers to the cleaners and was eyeing a big win, he hit 4 consecutive sixes in a single over and the bowlers had no answers. In thelast ball of that over, on the cusp of taking a quick single, Soham was out of the screech even before the bowler moduled into his follow through and then, he was a prey to mankading. The tvm team took a controversial but legitimate option to appeal for the out without any warning and Soham was adjourned out. The decision was subject to a fair amount of scrutiny but courtesy the Mankad wicket, in the end TVM registered a healthy win over MBBI.The win marked the qualification of TVM school into the zonals. On the other hand the losing team scored 92 runs for 5 wickets and Soham scored a quick 44.
Lefty Shivram Yadav of TVM was awarded the Man of the match. He scored a handsome 45 runs and also bowled a tight couple of overs.
Result- Tarapur Vidyamandir school won by 14 runs.
The first match of Worli CC was played between National cricket club and P.J Hindu gymkhana at National C.C on 31st October 2019. National C.C won the toss and elected to bat first.
After a sluggish start and a dismal show by the top order, the lower middle order of National C.C tried to steady the ship and with some handy contributions chipping in, they reached a score of 133 before getting bowled out in 37.1 overs. For Hindu gymkhana, the slow left-arm pair of Arya Gaikwad and Agneyaadi picked up 3 scalps each, they conceded 27 extras with 21wides.
Chasing 134 runs, the Hindu gymkhana did not get off to a flying start losing 3 wickets for the first 30 runs. Fortunately for them, the 5th wicket formidable partnership of 60 runs between lefties Aryan Bhatia (27 off 68) and Agneya Adi (34* off 58) put their team on the verge of a hard-earned victory. Agneya remained unbeaten and P.J Hindu gymkhana won the match in the 37th over with 3 wickets remaining. Off spinner Jai Bhanushali picked up couple of wickets for the national C.C but didn’t get much support from others.
For his all round performance with both ball and bat, Agneya Adi was deservingly announced man of the match.
Result-P.J Gymkhana won by 3 wickets.

Chasing 200 in 30 overs, Gokuldhan School opener Khush Jain anchored the chase for his team hitting a fluent 113 off 93 balls laced with 14 boundaries and a six. Khush lacked support from the other end but he kept on playing his natural game.

Krish got out for 46 while Ishaan converted his good start into a brilliant knock of 123 runs. It was a perfectly balanced innings where he showed controlled aggression facing 167 balls and smashing 14 boundaries. Kushagra who came at no.7 was also impressive with the willow yielding a quick 68 off mere 50 balls (9 fours) to push Payyade SC to 369/8 dec in 79.4 overs.
PDTSA again failed to make an impact in the 2nd innings getting all out for 45 runs. Payyade SC bowlers were collectively impressive with every bowler providing breakthroughs helping their team win by an innings and 283 runs.
