Huzefa Tinwala scores a crucial 60(46b) while Hamid Siddique takes 4/12 to steer AMS to a win in the Milan T20 League
It was a tight match played at Elphinstone Oval in Mumbai between two strong teams namely AMS & TRITON XI. AMS won the toss on a good batting track like Oval & elected to bat first with an aim of making a good total on the board to defend.
Batting first, AMS did got some early jitters when they were struggling at 20/2. However, all-rounder Huzefa Tinwala entered the crease & scored a match winning 60 off just 46balls which included 6fours & a six to take his team to a very competitive total of 174/7 in 20overs. Apart from him the rest of the batsman chipped in with 10’s & 20’s with S Oberoi being the 2nd highest scorer with a 22ball 28. Mandar Sawant & Param Talvar were the pick of the bowlers taking 2/26 & 2/30 respectively.
Chasing 175 at 8.5 runs per over, Triton felt the pressure of chasing against a good bowling line-up of AMS as they restricted Triton to just 125/10 in 19.1 overs. Sanjiv Singh bowled well taking 3/24 in 3.1 overs but it was left-arm seamer Hamid Siddique’s one over which changed the game wherein he took 3wkts in 6balls & came up with bowling figures of 4/12 in his 4overs.
AMS won the match comfortably by 49runs & Huzefa was declared ‘man of the match’ for his all-round perfomance where he scored a quick 60 & also took a wicket while Hamid also bowled a match winning spell. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team for their win while also wishes them luck for their future encounters.
