Hold on! Mumbai’s biggest T20 tournament -Mumbai Masters T20 League kickstarts soon!

Seems like Mumbai just got its very own IPL, If IPL was state level, Masters T20 league will be specifically dedicated to Mumbai with 8 teams of Mumbai taking on each other in high intensity T20 matches. The event which was inaugrated by former test opener & domestic legend Wasim Jaffer and Sri Lankan keeper Romesh Kaluwitharana will surely be a big success.

The tournament is not only a big step towards giving opportunities and platforms to all, but it is also a welcome relief for those who always aspired to play cricket but it got too late for them. In this tournament, all the players will not only get proper media coverage, but it will also be conducted in the most professional manner at prolific grounds and stadiums.

This tournament certainly has all the potential to come up their own version of Gayle’s, Pollards and De Villiers as you never know which player may come out bright with their hidden potential. “It’s a great opportunity for those, who missed top class cricket during their heydays. “You need to appreciate the efforts put in by Jwala Sports Foundation who have been promoting the game right from the junior to senior level,” said former India opener Wasim jaffer and highest run scorer of ranji trophy at the press conference in connection with the inaugural SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League-2018. Held today at Hotel; Marine Plaza here today. The league takes off at floodlit Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground from next Sunday, January 21.  Sri-lankan former Test cricketer Romesh Kaluwitharana  also lauded the efforts of t Jwala Sports Foundation and thanked to the title sponsors Sai estate consultants in promoting the game at the local level.

Briefing the press, Mr Jwala Singh, director of mcc and chief organisers of the league, disclosed that there will be eight teams i.e –

• Bandra Busters,
• Chembur Strikers,
• Mulund Master Blasters,
• Juhu Heroes,
• Santacruz Crackers,
• Borivali Warriors,
• Worli Pitch Smashers and
• Shivaji Park superstars. 

Jwala singh further stated that this league is mostly for cricketers from various parts of city and suburbs who are 33 years and above. The cricket lovers who dreamt of playing at higher level in their prime. This league will give them an opportunityto fulfill their passion for cricket. Rightly the tag line of this event is- Ab Dekhega Nahi Khelega Mumbai..

SAI Estate Consultants (Chembur) will be title sponsors along with Paradigm Reality and powered by sponsors for Season-1 while Global Advertisers will be the outdoor partner. During the press meet Mr. Ashish Goel vice president of MMPL thanked all the team owners, media and guests.
