Half centurion Saurabh Bahutule steers PJ Hindu Gymkhana to a 7- wicket win against Bombay Gymkhana

On Friday, Bombay Gymkhana XI faced off against PJ Hindu Gymkhana XI during the GDCL at the latter’s den. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bombay Gymkhana posted a challenging 162-5 in 20 overs. Opening batsman Sohrab Khusrushahi (70 off 55) and number 3 bat Jehangir Jejeebhoy (50 off 34) played an instrumental role in piling up the score. With the ball, it was Dwij Adhvaryu who was the top performer as he scalped 3-32 in his four overs. Kunal Shroff bowled well in tandem with Adhvaryu as he struck with 2-21 in his four.

In reply, it was a cake walk for PJ Hindu Gymkhana as they chased down the target in 17.4 overs, winning the match by seven wickets. Opening batsman Saurabh Bahutule (58 off 46) played a pivotal role in PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s win. Bahutule partnered well with Anand Gandhi (23 off 20) and Megh Adhvaryu (19 not out off 11) to take his team to a safe position. First with the ball and then with the bat, Kunal Shroff (35 not out off 15) had an fantastic outing.
