Fast Bowler Soham Sabnis bags 7wkts vs St. Francis in the 1st round of the Harris Shield Tournament ‘17
Played at the Bharat CC, Shivaji Park, Harris Shield Tournaments have always been a platform to extract the best from the kids and showcase their talent and once such perfomace was from Soham Sabnis from Gokuldham High School who displayed his bowling prowess by troubling the St. Francis batsman.
Batting first, St. Francis were all out for just 33 runs in 13.3 overs where hardly any batsman failed to create any impact. All eyes were on right arm fast bowler Soham Sabnis as he bowled one of the best bowling spells of this year’s tournament taking 7/11 in 7overs(2maidens). Soham at a very young age displayed pace and bounce coupled with good line and length which was nothing but impressive. In fact it was the brutal spell of Soham which restricted St. Francis to such a low total.
Chasing 34 runs, Gokuldham boys chased down the score in mere 4overs with openers Arsh Krishnater and Vinit Vanikar remaining unbeaten on 17* and 16*. Gokuldham High school won the match by 10wkts but it was definitely Soham with the ball who remained the standout performer of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Soham and the whole team while wishes luck to all the players for a great cricketing season ahead.
