Half centuries from Vikrant Chillar and Paras Sehrawat and a four wicket haul by Manoj Rawat enabled Ram Lal Anand College defeat College of Vocational Studies (CVS) by a huge margin of 125 runs and progress further in the DU Inter College Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, RLA College scored 246 runs losing all their wickets, thanks to contributions from Vikrant Chillar (50), Paras Sehrawat (59), Shailendra (37) and Hitesh Mehra (28). CVS bowled well to restrict RLA College to below 250. Arjun and Aryan captured 3 wickets each and Ujjwal Verma captured 2 wickets.
In reply, apart from opener Rishi kalkal‘s 60 runs, no other batsman could offer any sort of resistance to the bowlers as the whole team was sent packing for just 121 runs thereby falling short by 125 runs. All RLA bowlers bowled well but Manoj Rawat with figures of 8-1-28-4 stood apart.
