Goregaon Boys Sports Club played against SKN club in last weekend match of the DGRS Champions cup. This match was a high scoring one but the talking point was Ramesh Narvekar Sir. Not only he plays cricket at the age of 65 but he also competes at a level that youngsters would be proud of.
Goregaon Boys batting first scored an excellent 190 runs in their 20 overs losing 7 wickets in the process. Ramesh Sir was the star of the Goregaon Boys innings, scoring 41 runs off just 29 balls, hitting 9 balls to the fence. The ever reliable Mukund Sangli too played his part scoring 41 runs in 24 balls. Goregaon would have thought of 190 as a winning total but SKN had different plans.

SKN club achieved the target in 19.1 overs, mainly thanks to the Man of the Match, Subodh Desai, who scored 65 runs in 33 balls that included 7 boundaries and 3 maximums. Ramesh Sir shone with the ball as well. He fielded for the whole 20 overs and also completed his quota of 4 overs giving away only 32 runs and picking up a wicket.
Subodh was the MoM and Ramesh was the star of the match!!!
