The 48th All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament (Regd.) is set to kick off from May 16th, 2023, at the prestigious St. Stephens College Cricket Ground. This highly anticipated tournament will feature some of the most talented cricket players including Ranji Trophy, IPL, test players, state players from all over the country, who will be competing for the coveted title of the champion.

In a closely contested match between UK11 and S&P Global, the latter emerged victorious by just two wickets in the seventh league match of the Ultra Edge Season 3 Super 7 Cup Co-Powered by Cric Willworforu. S&P Global won the toss and elected to field, which turned out to be a good decision as they restricted UK11 to a modest total of 115/8 in 20 overs.
In response, S&P Global had a shaky start but managed to recover through the efforts of their middle order batsmen. They reached the target of 118/8 in 18.4 overs, with Hinank Nijhawan being the star performer for his team. He took three crucial wickets in four overs and gave away only 25 runs, earning him the Man of the Match award.
On the other hand, Ritik Sharma from UK11 was named Fighter of the Match for his impressive bowling figures of 2 wickets for 22 runs in four overs. Dilsukh from UK11 played a commendable knock of 24 runs in 28 balls with one four and two sixes, earning him the Outperformer award.
Jatin Bharara from S&P Global was the Best Bowler from his team, taking one wicket in four overs and conceding 26 runs. Overall, it was a closely fought match on a tricky wicket, which kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the very end.
It was an exciting day for cricket fans as the finals of the Thane Premier League: Chief Minister Trophy 2023 took place at Dadoji Kondev. The match was between Eknath Shinde CC 1 and Eknath Shinde CC 2, with the latter winning the toss and electing to field.
Eknath Shinde CC 1 started off strong, scoring 213/5 in their 20 overs. Akhil Herwadkar was the star of the innings, scoring an impressive 94 off just 49 balls, including 6 fours and 6 sixes. Japjeet Randhawa also contributed significantly, scoring 77 off 47 balls with 7 sixes and 7 fours. Amit Pandey was the pick of the bowlers for Eknath Shinde CC 2, taking 3 wickets for 41 runs.

Mhatre’s teammate Harshit Radia contributed 30 runs to the Challenger SC total. SKS bowler Arnav Chavan took 3 wickets for 10 runs. In reply, SKS were placed at 42 for the loss of one wicket in 9 over at the end of the day’s play.
In another interesting match, half century knocks from Afzal Shaikh 55 runs and Harsh Nadkar 52 runs helped Kalyan Centre reach a total of 193 all out in 37 overs in the first innings against Ambernath Centre at the Union Cricket ground, Kalyan. Thane Marathas electing to bat first found the going tough as the batsmen struggled against left-arm spin bowling of Dakway who consistently took wickets at regular intervals to dismiss the opposition for 104 runs in 19 overs. Rohan Chavan 27 runs and Parikshit Valsangkar 23 runs were the only two Maratha batsmen to get some runs on the board.
Later, Ghatkopar Jets also faced a bit of struggle, but then a 34-run partnership for the seventh wicket, lifted the innings and with 84 runs on the board they were within striking distance of the target. But, Marathas claimed three quick wickets and without Ghatkopar Jets adding a single run to the total, saw the match heading for a tense finish. However, a resolute display from Saqlain who scored 8 runs from 16 balls and hung on for 28 minutes and Vishweshwar Singh who also remained unbeaten on 11 from 15 deliveries in 24 minutes saved the day for Ghatkopar Jets and ensured they snatched a close 1-wicket win.

Mumbai, May 10: Payyade Sports Club and MIG Cricket Club registered contrasting semi-final victories in the John Bright CC organized MCA Rathod Trophy Under-25 Invitation T20 cricket tournament 2022-2023, played at the Parsee Gymkhana ground on Wednesday.
In the first semi-final, MIG CC produced a determined fighting show and managed to snatch a tight 18-run win against Parsee Gymkhana and in the other semi-final match, a dominant Payyade SC posted a comfortable 6-wicket victory against Shivaji Park Gymkhana.
Batting first, MIG CC were bowled out for 163 runs in 19.5 overs. MIG batters Vedant Murkar 30 runs, Atharva Ankolekar 27 run, Om Keshkamat 21 runs and Sheesh Shetty 20 runs propped the innings, while Parsee Gymkhana bowlers Yash Singh 2/24, Omkar Mandrekar 2/34 and A. D’Souza 2/35 shared the wickets. Parsee Gymkhana failed to chase the modest target and managed to score just 145 for 7 wickets from the stipulated 20 overs. Yash Ramchandani 38 runs, Sarvesh Patil 27 runs, Rushikesh More 27 runs and Siddharth Singh 21 runs made small contributions, but it was not good enough to overhaul the opposition total. Mumbai: Mumbai Police City Riders after three consecutive defeats finally tasted success as they pulled off a thrilling 49-run victory against Ghatkopar Jets in a low-scoring fourth round match of the five-team double leg Mumbai Cricket Club (MCC) and Jwala Sports Foundation (JSF) organized MitsuiShoji T20 Cricket League (Season 9), played at the Oval Maidan ground.
Batting first Mumbai Police struggled with the bat and could only post a meagre total of 136 for 5 wickets from their allotted 20 overs. Thanks to the 29-ball 56 runs knock from Anand Bais 56 and Vedant Patil 25 runs contribution lifted the Mumbai Police innings.
Later, Mumbai Police put up a strong fight and Shreyas Gurav played a key match-winning role by claiming 5 wickets for just 10 runs which helped dismiss Ghatkopar Jets for a paltry 87 runs all out in 20 overs.

Batting first, Nallasopara Centre made a brave declaration of the first innings at 252 for 8 in 62 overs. Later, their bowlers Neel Patil 4 for 13 and Dhariya Mahtre 3 for 69 rose to the challenge and did well to contain the Tarapur Vidya Mandir batters and dismissed them for 248 runs in 89.3 overs to clinch a satisfying victory on the basis of gaining the first innings lead.

Choosing to bat first, Shivaji Park Warriors managed to put a decent total of 164 for 7 wickets from their quota of 20 overs. Siddharth Akre top-scored with an unbeaten half century effort of 51 runs and Gaurish Jadhav made 45 runs, while Thane bowlers Veera Singamani 3 for 31 and Yash Dubey 2 for 21 were among the wickets. Warriors fought bravely and managed to defend the modest target by restricting Thane Marathas to 156 for 3 wickets from their stipulated 20 overs.
