Played at Green View Cricket Ground in Telangana, Hyderabad, Velosio team after being put to bat first posted a moderate total of 132/3 in 20 overs. Opener Aryan Reddy who hails from Little Scholar School top scored in the match with a fluent 67 off 54 balls (6 fours). Openers Aryan and Joseph Thampi (46 runs) stitched a 113 run opening stand in 17.4 overs.
Statistic XI Corp could only manage a total of 122/6 in 20 overs as Velosio successfully defended a low total. It was a clinical bowling performance with Shaik Haji and AV bagging 2 wickets a piece while Aryan Reddy also chipping in with a wicket as Velosio won the match by 10 runs. Played at the picturesque Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali, Mumbai, Dilip Vengsarkar XI opting to bat first scored a total of 321/5 in 87 overs with openers Himanshu Kumar and Hrishikesh Chavan giving a solid opening start. Himanshu scored 60 off 101 balls while Hrishikesh went on to score an impressive 132 off 204 balls laced with 24 boundaries and a six.
Rohit Sharma XI in reply were all out for 170 runs courtesy a brilliant spell from spinner Nishit Balla. Nishit returned with excellent bowling figures of 6/37 in 19 overs including 8 maidens which proved to be the game changer for Dilip Vensarkar XI. Dilip Vengsakar XI in 2nd innings batted for 30 overs with 8 wickets in hand as they won the match on 1st innings lead.

In what turned out to be a low scoring thriller, two evenly poised top division teams took on each other at NCC Cross Maidan with CCI after being put to bat first were all out for 177 runs in 63.4 overs. Opener Arya Satpute top scored with 88 runs off 191 balls smashing 12 fours and a six. Fast bowler Ravinder Solanki turned out to be lethal with the ball cleaning up CCI’s top order with his disciplined spell of fast bowling. Ravinder returned with bowling figures of 5/55 in 20 overs including 2 maidens.

Defending a low total, the pressure was certainly more on the CCI team but their in-form pacemen Krutik Hanagawadi continued his excellent form with the ball backing it up with a yet another fifer taking 5/72 in 14 overs including 3 maidens. National CC in reply were restricted to 170/9 in 41 overs wherein they were declared winners on the basis of net run rate.
Mumbai, December 4: Fine bowling performances from Siddharth Raut (5 for 50) and Yash Dicholkar (4 for 37) have put Parsee Gymkhana in a strong position against Sainath Sports Club on the first day of their second round Group-C league match of the Automotive Manufacturing-74th Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament 2021-2022 and played at the Parsee Gymkhana ground on Saturday.
Parsee after winning the toss dismissed Sainath SC for a paltry 163 in 40.2 overs. Karan More was the lone Sainath batsman who managed to defy the rival bowlers and get a decent knock in the middle scoring 74 runs. In reply Parsee Gymkhana are placed at a healthy 78 for the loss of just two wickets in 17 overs and look poised to record their second successive victory. Vikrant Auti is batting on 32 at the draw of stumps.
In a Group-A match which started late due to the wet outfield, defending champions Payyade Sports Club scored 36 for the loss of one wicket in 16 overs against Automotive Cricket Club.

In a match Played at the Eden Gardens ground in Ajman approved by the Ajman Cricket Council & organized Karwan Global, DCC Starlets after being put to bat first posted a total of 137/6 in 20 overs with opener Saqib Palekar top scoring with 64 runs off 50 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes). From the bowlers, Saifullah Khan with 2/26 was the pick of the lot.
Defending a modest total of 138, it required something extra ordinary for DCC Starlets to restrict the Hyderabad Hawks Academy & it was Harshit Seth who did the unthinkable for his team. 16 year old Indian origin cricketer Harshit Seth who has represented UAE in U16 at the age of 14 & currently preparing himself for U19 world cup will be telling his family and mates for the rest of his life, after achieving this almost unheard-of feat – “A Perfect Over”.
Harshit created a history as he took 6 wickets in 6 balls in a U19 league match against U19 team from Pakistan. Harshit bowled 4 overs including 2 maiden, gave away 4 Runs and took 8 wickets which included double hat-trick of 6 balls – 6 wickets. Harshit took 4wickets in 4 balls followed by 2 wickets in the first 2 balls of his next over restricting Hyderabad Hawks Academy to 44 runs all out.

Played at Fatima Cricket Ground in Vidyavihar, Bombay Vikings after being put to bat first posted a decent total on board scoring 162/7 in 20 overs. Even though, they lost some quick top order wickets but it was at no.6 changing the game with a brilliant 60* off 35 balls, Kunal smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes to push his team towards a 160+ total which at one stage looked quite difficult to reach. From the bowlers, Kaustubh Gupte with 3/32 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.
Antique Friends in reply managed to reach only 145/9 in 20 overs with few of their batters giving starts but not able to convert it into match winning knocks. Kunal Solanki who scored 60* was the most economical bowler conceding mere 16 runs in his spell of 4 overs while Mitesh Gajera with 3/29 was the pick of the lot. Karnatak Sporting Association batting first posted a decent total on board notching up 305/10 in 60.4 overs. Opener Amey Soman top scored for Karnatak smashing an impressive 122 runs off 105 balls which had 14 fours and 5 sixes. From the Mumbai Police bowlers, Yogesh Jagtap with 4/84 in 16 overs was the pick of the lot.
Chasing 306, Mumbai Police did looked in trouble at one stage losing both the openers early but it was the experienced combination of Rohit Pol and Swapnil Kulaye which brought the team back into the chase. Rohit who came at no.3 first stitched a crucial stand of 85 runs with Shrikant Limbole (42 runs) followed by a match winning 139 run stand with Swapnil Kulaye who scored 70 runs off 69 balls. Rohit Pol anchored the chase with a brilliant 133* off 181 balls smashing 11 fours and 4 sixes guiding his team out of trouble stitching crucial partnerships and indulging in solid sensible batting.
Mumbai Police eventually crossed the victory line in the 66th over winning the match by 6 wickets.

The inauguration of the Cricket Academy was conducted on 2nd December, 2021 at Shri Saint Gajanan Maharaj College Of Engineering, Shegaon , Maharashtra. Sulakshan Kulkarni who has represented as many as 5 states in a domestic career spanning almost 2 decades has also had an equally decorated career as a cricket coach working with numerous domestic teams making him one of the prolific cricket coaches in India. Sulakshan Kulkarni has been the brainchild behind this initiative and he was strongly supported by Shri Shrikant Dada Patil, Chairman of Shri Saint Gajanan Maharaj College Of Engineering. The initiative of coming up with this Cricket Academy seemed like a natural progression considering Sulakshan Kulkarni shares a great relation with the Chairman Shri Shrikant Dada Patil since many years.
