Chinmay Sutar at no.4 scored 54 runs while Vedant Murkar at no.6 top scored with 84 runs to push their team towards a respectable total. From the bowlers, all-rounder Khizar Dafedar stamped his presence with a brilliant spell of 6/46 in 15.2 overs including 2 maidens. Khizar took top order wickets while also proved equally impactful in providing middle order breakthroughs.
Lalchand Rajput XI in reply scored a massive total of 474 runs courtesy two solid half centuries at the top of the order from opener Sangram Bhalekar (55 runs) and no.3 batsman Suved Parkar (61 runs). In an individual practice match played at SKN Cricket Academy ground in Hyderabad, Telangana, AV Academy opting to bat first scored a decent total on board scoring 250/10 in 42 overs. Openers Aryan Reddy and his opening partner both scored hundreds as they stitched a massive 201 run opening stand for the 1st wicket. Aryan Reddy scored 103* off just 99 balls, an innings which consisted 11 boundaries at a strike rate of 104.04.
MSD CC in reply chased down the score in 31.5 overs as both their openers stitched a match winning 206 run stand in mere 137 deliveries. Karnataka team after being put to bat first scored a total of 328/10 in 98.3 overs. Middle order batsman Chinmay scored 102 runs while it was Mumbai’s strike bowler Prince Badiani returning with excellent bowling figures of 6/87 in 23 overs including 3 maidens. Mumbai Team in reply scored 297/10 where in all-rounder Musheer Khan was the top scorer with 99 runs off 260 balls. Musheer smashed 14 fours and a six while got run out on 99 by Chinmay missing out on a well deserved hundred. Musheer also stitched a great partnership with Vedprakash Jaiswal who scored 74 runs in their 149 run stand for the 3rd wicket.
Karnataka in 2nd innings are 96/3 in 30 overs and the match is evenly poised for an exciting encounter.
Apollo Club is one of the finest cricket clubs in Mumbai. Founded since 1980 by Mr. Farooq Patel, Apollo Club was registered at the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) in the same year. A couple of decades later, Mr. Farooq’s son, Mr. Shafique Patel took over the reins as he became the secretary of the Club. Apollo Club has been participating in various MCA tournaments on a regular basis and is engrossed in all tournament related activities of A and B division. Khan averred, “Apollo Club is in the “B” division in Kanga League also plays under 14 & 16 tournament organised by MCA and we are putting all our efforts every year for best performance. Our boys have given their best and have succeeded breaking into India A U19, Mumbai Ranji Team and Maharashtra Ranji Team.”
Prashant Solanki and Shivam Malhotra are a part of Mumbai Ranji Team, while Divyang Hinganekar and Sunil Yadav play for the Maharashtra Ranji Team, Prateek Sargade who played for Puducherry. Apart from these four players, there are other players like Yash Singh, Vedant Khambe and Shahid Dalvi, who have made it to the Mumbai U 25 probables.
Another upcoming talent is the 16-year old Nutan Goel. He is a 16-year old batsman who has been scoring tons of runs at the school level. He has the capacity to take his game to the next level in the near future.

Recently, one of the star players of Apollo Club, Angkrish Raghuvanshi made the cut for the India U-19 World Cup squad. The Delhi-born cricketer came to Mumbai at the age of 11 and for the last six years he has been working hard to play cricket at the highest level. Khan shared, “Angkrish is a 17-year old opening batsman. He is a technically sound player and is a good stroke-maker. He was also a part of Mumbai U-19. In a few of his recent matches, he scored plenty of runs against quality Ranji bowling attacks. Angkrish has the skill and temperament to play for India in the coming years.”
MUMBAI: Bhosale Cricket Academy defeated MCC ‘A’ by 20 runs in their opening tie in the MCC Talent Search under-12 cricket league, jointly hosted with Jwala Sports Foundation at Santacruz’s Air India Sport Cub at Kalina today.
Batting first, Bhosale boys scored 119 for eight of the allotted 25 overs. Arya Karle top-scored with 49. In reply, MCC ‘A’ended with 99 for nine with Hursh Rumde made 30, while Aarav Malhotra bagged three wickets for 13 runs in the allotted five overs. Six teams are in the fray in the inauguration competition. The matches will be played over 25 overs with each team getting five games before the top two will contest the final.

Opener Parth Pathak scored almost half of the team runs batting from start to end as wickets kept on tumbling from the other end. Parth scored a solid looking 92* off 97 balls which had 10 fours in it. From the bowlers, Anuj Giri with 3 wickets was the pick of the lot.
Mumbai Cricket Club in reply were all out for 174 runs in 33.3 overs with opener Aditya Giri’s 45 being the highest score. The bowlers bowled well and especially Rishi Shah who was the pick of the lot returning with economical bowling figures of 3/18 in 6 overs with 2 maidens. Real Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 179 runs in 38.5 overs courtesy an impressive spell by all rounder Raj Desmukh who returned with impactful bowling figures of 4/19 in 7.5 overs including 2 maidens. Representing Ageas Federal Team, Ayush Vartak played a brilliant knock of 94 runs to steer his team to a commanding win. Batting first Saeesh Cricket Academy, Ageas Federal posted a healthy total of 180/5 in 20 overs. Opener Rahul Kodavoor scored 51 runs off 44 balls while also stitched a 135 run stand for the 3rd wicket with Ayush Vartak. Coming at no.4, Ayush scored an impressive 94 off 49 balls laced with 9 fours and 6 sixes.
