On March 9, Route Mobile Ltd. took on Automotive Manufacturers in Mumbai during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Route Mobile Ltd. won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Route Mobile Ltd. were bowled out for 283. Three batters from Route Mobile scored delectable half-centuries, including Vaishnav Narvekar (86 runs), Vishal Dhagaonkar (78) and Sumeet Dhekale (50) to help their team post a formidable score on board. Narvekar was the top scorer for Route Mobile Ltd. For Automotive Manufacturers, Jayshal Wadiyal and Akash Kharvi chipped in with three wickets apiece. 

In reply, Automotive Manufacturers could only manage 87 as they were bundled out in 29.2 overs, losing the match by 196 runs Dashrath Chavan fought hard for his 30 runs but failed to find able allies that would bat with him to see the team home. For Route Mobile Ltd. it was Shashikant Kadam, who wreaked havoc with the ball striking with 5-15. Kadam was handsomely rewarded for his consistency. He received good support from Saeed Shaikh who scalped 3-8. 

Route Mobile Ltd.’s batter Vaishnav Narvekar and bowler Shashikant Kadam were the top performers of the match and their match winning contributions helped the team clinch a 196-run win over Automotive Manufacturers during the MCA Corporate Trophy.

On March 9, Bank of Baroda took on Reserve Bank of India in Mumbai during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. The Reserve Bank of India won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Reserve Bank of India were bowled out for a paltry 75 in 31 overs. Varun Sood wreaked havoc with the ball for Bank of Baroda as he scalped 5-32. Sood ran through the opposition line up in a jiffy and was duly rewarded for his consistency with line and length. Kunal Thorat was the other bowler, who picked up 4-30, making useful contributions with the ball. 

In reply, Bank of Baroda chased down the target with ease as they won the match by nine wickets. They completed the formalities in just 10 overs. Rohan Kadam top scored with an unbeaten 41 to lead the run chase from the front. The Reserve Bank of India’s bowlers did not have a great day at the office as they managed to pick just one wicket.

Bank of Baroda’s Varun Sood was the top performer with the ball in the match as he scalped five wickets to help his side win by a margin of nine wickets against Reserve Bank of India during the MCA Corporate Trophy.

Played at Young Zoroastrian, Azad Maidan, Times of India Sports Club after being put to bat first were all out for 165/10 in 36.2 overs. ONGC bowlers bowled tight with left arm spinner Arvind Bane taking 4/29 in 8 overs. Sagir Shaikh also bagged 2 wkts conceding just 7 runs in 6.2 overs.

 

ONGC in reply chased down the total with ease winning the match by 7 wkts. Opener Parth Phatak anchored the chase with a brilliant 112* off 74 balls smashing 16 fours and a six helping ONGC cross the victory line in the 21st over. Parth counter attacked the bowlers and looked pretty confident at the crease helping ONGC topple Times of India in a commanding manner.

When a single match witnesses multiple performances, the match is bound to get interesting. In one such interesting match between DY Patil and Indian Oil, the game witnessed twin centuries from Hardik Tamore, Centuries from Musheer Khan & Aditya Tare and a fifer from spinner Karsh Kothari.

DY Patil B opting to bat first at MIG CC in Mumbai posted a 1st innings total of 366/10 in 87.1 overs. Wicket-Keeper Batsman Hardik Tamore confidently piled on runs coming at no.3 as he went on to score a brilliant 167 off 206 balls. Hardik smashed 16 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 80+ keeping the scoreboard ticking. From the bowlers Musheer Khan and Khizar Dafedar with 3 wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Indian Oil in reply posted a massive total notching up 551 runs in 116.5 overs with centuries from opener Musheer Khan and Aditya Tare. Opener Musheer scored 123 off 185 balls smashing 19 fours and a six while Aditya Tare who came at no.5 scored 138 off 182 balls smashing 20 fours and a six. From the bowlers, it was spinner Karsh Kothari taking 5/184 in 44 overs including 9 maidens. Dinesh Salunkhe also bagged 3 wkts.

DY Patil in reply are now batting at 274/1 with openers Arun Yadav (84 runs) and Hardik Tamore (164*) giving a flying start. Hardik brought up his back to back hundred in the match and looks in ominous touch smashing 17 fours and 8 sixes so far taking mere 133 deliveries to reach a score of 164*. MV Sports Club opting to bat first at MCA BKC Ground in Mumbai posted a total of 173/2 in 25 overs. Opener Ishan Malaviya top scored in the match with an impressive knock of 79 runs in 85 balls, a knock which included 8 boundaries. Ishan was also well supported by Shahid Khan at no.3 who scored run a ball 49.

United Friends in reply could only managed 121/8 in 25 overs courtesy tight bowling by the MV Sports Club bowlers. Spinner Avnesh Shukla with 3/20 in 5 overs was the pick of the lot while Deep Kanojia also bagged 2wkts for 25 runs.

M.V Sports Club won the match by 52 runs while Ishan Malaviya stood out as the performer of the match.

Played at Jaganath Krida Sankul in Badlapur, MS Cricket Club after being put to bat first posted a very good total on board smashing 193/9 in 20 overs. Kedar Patil who came at no.4 top scored for his team smashing an impressive knock of 58 runs in 35 balls, an innings where he mostly dealt in boundaries as he hit 11 fours at a strike rate of 165.71

Sportsman Club in reply were cleaned up for 38 runs courtesy brilliant bowling performance by the MS CC bowlers. Sumit Sharma with 3/20 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Hrishikesh Jagtap (2/2) and Praful Patil (2/6) also bowled crucial spells.

Result: MS Cricket Club won by 155 runs, Sumit Sharma declared ‘man of the match’

Organized by BS Sports and played at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, Sanjivani Cricket Academy after being put to bat first posted a total of 196/10 in 37.1 overs. Sajivani at one point were struggling with scoreboard reading 81/5 but it was Deepak Shukla who resurrected the innings back with a brilliant knock of 71 runs in 71 balls, a knock which included 11 boundaries and helping his team reach a defendable position.

Master Class Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 177 runs with Shivesh Dubey bowling a crucial spell returning with bowling figures of 4/42 in 8 overs including a maiden. Sanjivani Cricket Academy won the match by 19 runs while Shivesh Dubey was declared ‘man of the match”

Played at Katekar Maidan in Bhiwandi,  Akash XI opting to bat first  posted a total of 129/10 in 30.1 overs where in Amresh Yadav top scored with 34 runs.  From Kaif XI, Shivam Gupta was the pick of the lot returning with bowling figures of 5/17 in 6 overs alongwith 3 maidens. Shivam took crucial breakthroughs and bowled an impressive spell.

Kaif XI in reply chased down the score in 17.4 overs winning the match by 4 wkts with Aditya (29 runs) and Bhavesh (27 runs) at the middle order chipping in with cameos. It was a commanding win for Kaif.Eleven Team with Shivam Gupta being declared ‘man of the match’ for his fifer.

Golden Horses opting to bat first at Somaiya Cricket Ground in Mumbai posted a very healthy total on board notching up 195/8 in 20 overs. Opener Shiv Narayan gave a good start scoring 46 runs while it was Navdeep Tomar at no.6 who played a game changing innings smashing a quickfire 63 off just 33 balls. Navdeep smashed 7 boundaries and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 190+ which pushed his team towards a strong position.

 

Misfits in reply were all out for 168/7 with Asgar Khan and Mudasir Bhat bagging 2wkts each. Golden Horses won the match by 37 runs while Navdeep Tomar was declared ‘man of the match”

On March 8 and 9, Repro India locked horns against Space Sports Club at Matunga Gymkhana in Mumbai during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Repro India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Put in to bat, Space Sports Club were bowled out for 168 in 46.3 overs. Sumit Markali wreaked havoc with the ball for Repro India as he scalped 5-40. Yash Mahale was the other bowler, who picked up 3-58, making useful contributions with the ball.

Markali, a right arm fast bowler, told CricketGraph, “The wicket was good to bat on but there was some assistance for the fast bowlers with the new ball. I was determined to bowl in the right areas on a consistent basis for which I yielded rich dividends.”

In reply, Repro India chased down the target and won the match by three wickets against Space Sports Club in the MCA Corporate Trophy.
