On March 11, Cosmos Maya India P.L. locked horns against Mumbai Port Trust S.C. during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Cosmos Maya India P.L. won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Put in to bat by Cosmos Maya India P.L., Mumbai Port Trust S.C. were bowled out for a paltry 105 in 27.2 overs, thanks to Kaustubh Tathare who wreaked havoc with the ball scalping 5-15. Cosmos Maya India P.L.’s Tathare bowled in the right areas on a consistent basis and yielded rich dividends. 

In reply, Cosmos Maya India P.L. chased down the target with ease as they completed the formalities in just 15.1 overs, winning the match by seven wickets. Prashant Yadav and Deepak Gaikwad led the run chase as they registered 42 runs and 30 runs respectively. For Mumbai Port Trust S.C., Premnath Chavan was the pick of the bowlers as he struck with 3-33.

On March 11, Aditya Birla Sports took on Canara Bank Cricket Club during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament.  Canara Bank Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Riding on Prasad Gandre’s delectable century, Aditya Birls Sports posted a daunting total of 9-324 in 38 overs. Gandre top scored with 104 runs to help his side pile up a score in excess of 300. Ganesh Dhone was the other major contributor with the bat as he mustered 53 runs. For Canara Bank Cricket Club, Kiran Jadhav was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3-64. 

In reply, Canara Bank Cricket Club could manage only 165 in 38.5 overs, losing the match by a massive margin of 159 runs, as they were bundled out by Aditya Birla Sports. Roshan Jadhav wreaked havoc with the ball as he picked up 3-24. For Canara Bank Cricket Club, Suresh Talae was the lone fighter with the bat as he scored 36.

On March 11, Crayon Software Expert India P.L. and Western Railway Traffic S.C. clashed against each other during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament.  Crayon Software Expert India P.L. won the toss and elected to bat first.

Riding on Vikash Bhosale’s scintillating century, Crayon Software Expert India P.L. piled up 229 in 40 overs. Bhosale played some beautiful looking shots and ran hard between the wickets during his entertaining knock of 102. Amar Mehta joined the party with Bhosale and mustered 48 runs. For Western Railway Traffic S.C., Bharat Solanki was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3-50.  

In reply, Western Railway Traffic S.C. fought extremely hard for their 215 but were unfortunately bowled out in 37.5 overs, losing the match by just 14 runs. Deepak Kumar, Yusuf Wadiwala and Bharat Solanki made useful contributions with the bat however failed to see their side home. Kumar top scored with 51, while Wadiwala and Solanki mustered 45 runs and 36 runs respectively.

Crayon Software Expert India P.L. beat Western Railway Traffic S.C. by 14 runs during the MCA Corporate Trophy.

Played at Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai, Bhosle Cricket Academy opting to bat first posted a total of 181/4 in 20 overs. Openers Ram and Maanveer put on a brilliant 134 run stand in 14.2 overs with Ram scoring 59 off 39 balls. Maanveer top scored in the match as he smashed a brilliant 90* off 61 balls smashing 13 fours and 2 sixes.  In reply, SK Cricket Academy were cleaned up for 67 runs with Harsh Sahani being the pick of the lot taking 3/13 in 3 overs.

 

Result: Bhosle Cricket won the Match by 114 runs and Maanveer Jain declared ‘Man of the Match”

Dilip Vengsarkar XI opting to bat first posted a total of 411/10 in 89.4 overs. Openers Rudra Dhanday (74 runs) and Sagar Chhabria (47 runs) gave a solid start while it was Siddarth Akre at no.5 who top scored for the team. Coming at no.5, it was Siddarth who scored 103 runs off 129 balls smashing 15 fours and 2 sixes while also stitched a crucial partnership with Vedant Murkar who scored 74 runs coming at no.6. From the bowlers, Shashwat Jagtap with 4/48 was the pick of the lot.

Jahangir Pithawala in reply were all out for 340 runs courtesy a brilliant knock of 109 runs by their no.9 batsman Saksham Jha or else the team could have been all out for a below par total. Saksham smashed 8 sixes and 7 fours in his knock of 109 which came off 114 balls.

Dilip Vengsarkar XI in 2nd innings scored 324/4 in 58 overs with Rudra Dhanday and Sagar Chhabria once again giving a flying start. Rudra scored 110 off 133 balls while Sagar scored 83 off 109 balls. Akshat Jain who came at no.3 remained unbeaten on 52* off 59 balls.

On March 11, Central Railway Institute Dadar took on Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. won the toss and elected to bat first.

Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. were bundled out for a modest score of 112 in 21.2 overs. Rounak Kulkarni top scored with 34 however apart from him there were no major contributors with the bat. For Central Railway Institute Dadar, Durvesh Patil was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 5-35, running through the opposition line-up in a jiffy. Patil bowled in the right areas on a consistent basis and yielded rich dividends for his consistency.

In reply, Central Railway Institute Dadar chased down the target in 27.2 overs, winning the match by five wickets. Nishant Shivalkar was the leading run getter for his side as he plundered a blistering 31.

On March 11, Indusind Bank Ltd. locked horns against Mahavitaran Kala Krida A.S.M. during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Indusind Bank Ltd. won the toss and elected to bat first.

Riding on Sagar Ghadigaonkar’s brilliant 125, Indusind Bank Ltd. posted a daunting total of 8-316 in 40 overs. Ghadigaonkar received good support from Sridhar Yarramarddy who contributed with a delectable half-century and Raj Jaiswal who chipped in with a useful 44. For Mahavitaran Kala Krida A.S.M, Sameer Chogale was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 4-56.  

In reply, Mahavitaran Kala Krida A.S.M. were bundled out for a paltry 140 in 26.2 overs, losing the match by 176 runs. Sandeep Palav top scored with a stellar 75 but could not find able allies in the team to see their side home. For Indusind Bank Ltd., Sagar Ghadigaonkar was the top performer with the ball as he struck with 5-9. Ghadigaonkar bowled in the right areas on a consistent basis and yielded rich dividends.

On March 15, Reliance Group S.C. locked horns against Union Bank of India S.C. during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Union Bank of India S.C. won the toss and elected to bat first.

Union Bank of India S.C.’s batting innings was done and dusted in just 18.1 overs as they were bowled out for a paltry 63. None of the batters of Union Bank of India S.C. looked in good shape as they failed to score big for their team. Reliance Group S.C.’s bowling was too good for Union Bank of India S.C.’s batters as the former rattled the latter in a jiffy. Onkar Jadha was the star performer with the ball for Reliance Group S.C. as he wreaked havoc picking up 5-31. Jadhav ran through the opposition batting line up in no time and helped his team to reduce Union Bank of India S.C. for a humble score of 63.

In reply, Reliance Group S.C. completed the formalities in just 7.4 overs as they went on to win the match comprehensively by nine wickets against Union Bank of India S.C during the MCA Corporate Trophy.

On March 2 and March 3 , Space Sports Club took on CGST & C.EX. Mumbai Zone at New Hind in Matunga during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament.   CGST & C.EX. Mumbai Zone won the toss and elected to bat first.

CGST & C.EX. Mumbai Zone piled up 178 as they were bowled out in 38 overs. Prayag Bhatti top scored with 64 and received good support from Tushar Shrivastav who chipped in with a useful 34. For Space Sports Club, Deepak Shetty wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 6-58 in 15 overs, including one maiden. Shetty, a right arm fast bowler, who opened the bowling for Space Sports Club, said, “The wicket was initially damp and as the day progressed it became better. There was some assistance in the pitch for the fast bowlers. I stuck to the basics and focused on bowling in the right areas on a consistent basis. I made the most of the conditions at hand.” Shetty bowled well in tandem with Abhishek Chorasiya who struck with 3-40. 

In reply, Space Sports Club chased down the target in 32.2 overs, winning the match by eight wickets. Ninad Kadam led the run chase from the front as he muscled a brilliant 84. Japjeet Randhawa too joined the party as he mustered an undefeated 69 to see his side home. 

Space Sports Club beat CGST & C.EX. Mumbai Zone by eight wickets during the MCA Corporate Trophy.

Played at Air India Ground in Santa Cruz, Air India Sports Club opting to bat first were all out for 137 runs in 31.3 overs. Mumbai Ranji Spinner Dhrumil Matkar brought in his skills at the right time returning with excellent bowling figures of 5/50 in 9 overs.

Mumbai Customs in reply dominated with the bat on opposition’s homeground notching up 438 runs for the loss of 8 wkts in 97.1 overs. After losing both the openers early, No.3 Batsman Vikrant Auti and Prasad Pawar at no.4 stitched a massive 267 run stand for the 3rd wicket which turned things around. Vikrant scored a solid 127 runs off 164 balls (16 fours and a six) while Prasad top scored in the match with a brilliant 183 off 236 balls (23 fours and 2 sixes).
