Aryan Sharma’s 4-fer and Shiva’s 75 helps Bal Bhavan win the knock-outs in the 18th Manav chopra u-19 Memorial cricket tournament
Played at the Rajokri Cricket Ground, it was the all important & crucial encounter between RPCA & Bal Bhawan Cricket Academy in Delhi. RPCA won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of making a big score in the 1st innings.
However, the bowling was commendable and it wasn’t the best of the days for RPCA with the bat as they were 139/10 all out in 37 overs. Aryanman Sen & Yogesh Gulia were the leading scorers with 42 & 22 respectively. From the bowling department, it was their right arm leg spinner Aryan Sharma who completely bamboozled the batsman with his effective spin bowling taking 4/36 in 8 overs while left arm spinner Ishan Singh also chipped in with 2 quick wickets in his 4overs.
Chasing 140 was a mere cakewalk for Bal Bhavan boys as they chased down the score easily and won the match by 7wkts. Moreover, they chased down the score in just 9overs with destructive Shiva Singh lighting up the ground with his 27ball 75. Bal Bhavan won the match in style by 7wkts while Aryan Sharma was declared ‘man of the match’ who was given the award by Mr. Vinod Sharma who was the former coach of Indian Railways.
Cricketgraph congratulates Aryan and the whole team and wishes all a great cricketing year ahead.
