Anitque Friends become the Champions of JFSC Classic 4.0 Tournament’22
Played at the picturesque MIG Cricket Ground, Anitque Friends after being put to bat first posted a total of 154/5 in 20 overs. Opener Rishi Mapara who has played consistently well throughout the tournament delivered in the finals too scoring a crucial knock of 54 runs in 38 balls (6 fours and 1 six). Big-Hitter Shiva Konar who came at no.4 also provided a quick cameo of 38* off 24 balls smashing 3 fours and a six pushing the team towards a respectable total.
Cargo Cricket Club in reply were cleaned up for 101 runs in 20 overs with none of their batters able to convert their starts. Antique Friends Bowlers did a terrific job with the ball with Nishant Patankar being the pick of the lot taking 3/17 in 4 overs. Kaustubh Gupte and Rishi Mapara also bagged 2 wkts each as Antique Friends won the finals by 53 runs.
Rishi Mapara was declared ‘man of the finals’ for his all round performance. On the other hand, Antique Friends Team began playing Amateur Professional Cricket only 2 years back and its commendable to see them reach the finals and become the Champions defeating many experienced teams on the way during the tournament.
