Anand Rajan Appointed as Pondicherry Head Coach

Anand Rajan has been appointed as the head coach of Pondicherry’s Ranji team for the 2024-25 season, marking an exciting new chapter in his coaching career. A stalwart of Indian domestic cricket, Rajan spent ten years representing Madhya Pradesh, showcasing his skills as a fast bowler. His impressive performances in the Ranji Trophy and the Indian Premier League (IPL) earned him recognition, playing for teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers. Notably, he personally coached Adhiraj Mangat, who became the highest wicket-taker for Punjab in the Vijay Merchant Trophy.

Rajan’s credentials as a coach are impressive. He is a certified coach from the MRF Pace Foundation, having trained under cricket legends Glenn McGrath and Dennis Lillee. He also holds a BCCI Level 2 qualification, which he achieved in December 2022.
