All-rounder Abbas Karachiwala smashes a solid 95 while also scalps 3wkts to steer Lilavati Podar to a win in the Harris Shield ‘17
Just fresh from a fantastic all round perfomance where he smashed a 56 while also took 5wkts in the same match, young Abbas continued his all round form and once again grabbed the opportunity with both the hands to showcase his cricketing skills. Also Abbas has been consistenly performing well since the last one year and has been improving leaps and bounds.
In fact, Abbas is amongst the best bowlers in this season of Harris and has excelled in both the departments. His latest match was on 24th November at National CC, Cross Maidan against the Cathedral & John Cannon High School where in his team Lilavati Podar High school won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, John Cannon were all out for 184 where in middle order batsman Shreyas Saraf looked very impressive top scoring with 74 off 170balls. The bowlers did a great job with almost everyone chipping in with wickets.
In reply, Lilavati Bal Podar High School surpassed the opposition’s total and went on to make a mammoth 304 where in the openers gave a good start but it was Abbas at no.4 who scored 95 off 140balls to take his team towards a big total. Abbas as always showed a lot of temperament coupled with great cricketing shots as he smashed 13fours coupled with good running between the wickets. It was a complete all round display by Abbas as he not only scored 95 falling just 5runs short of a classy ton but also took 3wkts to help his team Lilavati BPHS win the match on 1st innings. Cricketgraph congratulates Abbas while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
