Ajay’s destructive 27ball 74* helps Centurion win over VCC in the Skyline Corporate T20 League

Played at the Skyline Cricket Ground at Gurgaon in Haryana, two competitive teams namely VCC & Centurion clashed with each other for a crucial encounter where in centurion won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket seemed good to bat on.

Centurion took full advantage of batting first as they scored a mammoth 254/3 in 20overs where in openers Ankur Tayal & Akash Mittal gave a terrific start which itself developed the positive momentum. Opener Ankur scored a 38ball 74(9fours, 3sixes) while Akash smashed a 38ball 52(3fours, 3sixes) to give one of the best starts in the tournament so far. Ajay at no.5 continued the positive momentum as he completely took on the bowlers single handedly as he scored a 27ball 74*(5fours, 7sixes) and did not spare any bowler and any part of the ground in his entertaining batting.

In reply, VCC felt the pressure of chasing as they managed to score just 133/8 in 20 overs. Sanjeev at no.3 top scored with a 30ball 45 while Parvesh with 3/23 was the pick of the bowlers.
