Opener Nitesh’s 58ball 92 steers CEX to a win over CGI in the Dreamz T20 Tournament

Held at the High court Cricket Ground (Oval) in Mumbai, CEX & CGI clashed for a crucial encounter of the Dreamz T20 Tournament. CGI won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket was quite good for batting.

Batting first, CGI made a score of 141/8 on the board which is neither a big score neither a completely small score to defend. Target of 140’s are always confusing in T20’s. CGI openers Mrigesh & Vivek gave a good start scoring 32 & 47 respectively but the batsman below them could not convert the positive momentum. Ritesh Patil was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/19 in his 4 overs followed by 1/25 by Sumeet Chiluka. Nikhil Tanna(1/42) was a little expensive with the ball or else the bowlers did a good job of containing the batsman while also taking wickets at the right time.

Chasing 142, CEX chased down the score in 19.3 overs and won the match comfortably by 7wkts. Right-handed opener Nitesh Lund scored a breezy 92 off mere 58balls making the chase even more easier with his aggressive approach where in he smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes to enthrall the spectators and his team mates alike.

Team CEX won the match in style & opener Nitesh was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant onslaught & dominating style of batting falling just 8runs short of a wonderful century.
