In-form Aman Khan blasts a 58ball 144 in the Vijay Manjrekar/Ramankant Desai T20 Tournament
It was a match where Aman who is already making waves in the Mitsui T20 tournament again stamped his presence as he literally dominated the batsman with his power hitting. Coming at the top of the order Aman certainly plays his game in the mould of Chris Lynn.
Held at Karnatak Cricket Ground, two strong teams clashed with each other where DY Patil batted first. Right-handed opener Aman Khan who recently also scored a 34ball 97 once again took everyone by surprise with his power hitting as he scored 144 off mere 58balls where in his hundred came of just 43balls. Overall playing at strike rate of almost 260, Aman Khan smashed 16fours & 10sixes to take the game away from the opposition. It was because of his carnage, DY Patil managed to score 252/6 in 20 overs giving a big target to defend to Mumbai Police Gymkhana.
Chasing 253, Mumbai Police Gymkhana were all out for just 166/10 in 18overs with their opener Hardik Tamore being the pick of the scorer with his gutsy 45. Azhar Querish, A Bhoir & Karan Kothari took 3wkts each to dismantle the opposition’s batting line up.
DY Patil won the match 86runs & Aman Khan was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Aman & the whole team for their win & wishes them luck for a great year ahead.
