48yr old Rajesh Paghdhare once again proves age is just a number along with Prasad Rahate to steer Regent CC to a stunning win in the Cosmopolitan Shield Tournament ‘17

Played at the Worli Sports Club, it was a match between Regent CC and Young Comrade where in Regent CC won the toss and elected to bat first considering the wicket looked good for batting.

It wasn’t the best of the decisions to bat first as Regent CC were all out for just 131runs in 36.5 overs where in Sankalp Pednekar at no.3 gave a handy contribution of 30runs while the rest of the batsman failed to convert their 10’s and 20’s. Dhawal Khimani was the pick of the bowlers with 3/29 while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job by chipping in with wickets.

However, Regent CC gave an excellent comeback with the ball to cover their batting woes as they restricted Young Comrade to just 82/all out in 22.4 overs. The duo of Rajesh and Prasad once again came in useful as both the bowlers scalped 5wkts. This is not the first time they have paired up together to help their team win the match as they bowled in similar fashion earlier too. While the 48yr old Rajesh keeps on proving that age hardly matters if you have fitness, passion and dedication towards the sport. Young Prasad is also improving leaps and bounds in every match.  Right arm medium pacer Rajesh came up with envious bowling figures of 5/22 in 8.4 overs while left arm spinner Prasad Rahate came up with impressive figures of 5/41 in 9 overs to help their team win the match by 49runs. It was a great match where Regent CC defended a low total while Rajesh and Prasad stood out with their great bowling.
