The third edition of the Members Premier League recently announced the teams competing in the exclusive competition. The tournament is set to start from February 13, 2023. This season will witness an action induced performance by the 5 teams on the Somaiya Cricket Ground.
In the MCA RC BKC Tournament 5 teams comprising of veteran cricketers will compete against each other. The teams are as follows:
Team: Spartans
Owner: Mr. Jeetinder Diwan
This army of cricketers is owned by Mr. Jeetinder Diwan, a banker and an outstanding sportsperson. Mr. Diwan is a skilful batter and lives his life by the rules of cricket. The match dates are as follows: 15th, 17th, 21st, and 23rd February 2023.
Team: Spottlightt Social Scorcherss
Owner: Mr. Deepaq Modgil
The Spottlightt Social digital agency strategizes its best solutions for brands to gain spotlight in today’s digital environment. Mr. Deepaq Modgil applies the same approach to his cricket team, the Spottlightt Social Scorcherss, to plan out best strategies on the field. Team owner Vivek Zaveri is an all-rounder both on and off field. The team is named after Hemant Tools Pvt Ltd which is one of the biggest cutting tool distributor in India allowing provision of variety of tools. The Tornados owner loves cricket. He is a batsman and a spin bowler. The match dates are: 14th, 17th, 19th and 22nd February 2023.
Team: Prachi Diamonds Strikers
Owner: Mr. Priyank Mehta
This team bejewelled with its cricketers is owned by Mr. Priyank Mehta. Prachi Diamonds, a second-generation diamond wholesale company based out of BKC is run by Mr. Mehta. The match dates are as follows: 13th, 16th, 19th, and 23rd February 2023.
This third edition looks forward to an energetic and intense tournament ahead for the sportspersons. A high scoring game between Dilip Vengsarkar XI and Lalchand Rajput XI saw the the latter prevail comfortably. Vengsarkar XI elected to bowl first. Despite losing the toss, Lalchand Rajput XI made the best of the opportunity and scored a mammoth total of 672 in 113 overs. Varun Lavande high scored with a supreme 140 up the order. His innings paved the way for other batsmen. Coming in the middle order was another centurion, Siddhant Singh, contributing an unbeaten 130. Left Spinner Shreyas Gurav surprised with the bat by scoring 94 as Sheesh Shetty chipped in a handy 72. Their total was aided with 74 runs by the umpire as Vengsarkar XI were penalized for a slow over rate.
In reply, Vengsarkar XI passed the 500 mark but were still short by more than 150 runs as they were bowled out in the 115th over. Sagar Chabbria hammered a fighting 113 as Akshat Jain and Sourabh Singh contributed 88 and 85 respectively. Aditya Srivastav and Dhanit Raut also passed the 75 run mark but in vain as the Rajput XI was too much for them. Sheesh and Aryan Badhe claimed 3 wickets each to seal the game for their team by a first innings lead.

Chandrakant Pandit XI took the first innings lead against Chandrakant Pandit XI in the U-25 Shalini Bhalekar Tournament. Batting first Pandit XI hammered a whopping 472 in 130 overs. All-rounder Jayesh Pokhare scored an emphatic 145 and was the highest contributor. His quick fire innings helped his team to such a massive total. Omkar Ghule missed out on a deserving century by mere 3 runs as opener Bhupen Lalwani contributed 70. Leg Spinner Shashwad Jagpat claimed 3 wickets in the first innings.
Jahangir Pithawala XI were bowled out for 294 in the 82nd over of their innings. Vedant Murkar scored 83 while ace batsmen Japjeet Randhawa high scored with an incredible 113. Left arm spinner Rajesh Sardar took 5 wickets.
Pandit XI declared the second innings at 129 losing 2 wickets. Lalwani scored 60 again in his second innings as Kaushal Valsangkar scored 55. The was drawn but Chandrakant Pandit took the 1st inning lead.

The Rising Star Sports Foundation Cricketgraph Academy in Bhayandar provides excellent facilities for their players. With almost 5 outdoor nets at their disposal, the academy gives every player an opportunity to train. The academy also has the leverage to train indoors during the monsoon season with an indoor nets facility. The indoor structure also allows players to practice after dark as it has flood lights. Apart from batting and bowling, the skill of fielding is also taken of, thanks to the availability of the outdoor ground.
Apart from Coach Nandu Jadhav, there will be 2 subordinates aiding him. With more than 50 students across all groups in the academy, ample games are organized for the players to showcase their skills. Omtex ICWC took on Sikkim U25 in a couple of 50-over matches played on November 8 and 12 at Saphale in Mumbai. While Sikkim U 25 got the better of Omtex ICWC on November 8, Omtex ICWC redeemed themselves on November 12. One of the star performers in those two matches was Omtex ICWC’s, Nisarg Naik.
In the first match played on November 8, though Omtex ICWC ended on the losing side, Naik made valuable contributions with bat and ball. Out of the six wickets that Omtex ICWC picked, Naik accounted for four. The right-arm speedster opened the bowling and scalped 28/4 in nine overs, including one maiden. With the bat, he played a 19-ball cameo to score 27 not out. He hit three boundaries and cleared the rope once when batting at number eight. Despite his valiant effort with bat and ball, Omtex ICWC failed to cross the line.
In the next game that was played on November 12, Naik again made handsome contributions with bat and ball. This time, he muscled a delightful 58 off 39 against Sikkim U25. He smashed half a dozen boundaries and a couple of sixes in his unbeaten knock. Batting at number 10, he provided an impetus towards the fag end of the innings. With the ball, he opened the attack and claimed 19/1 in four overs, including one maiden.
Nisarg Naik has been one of the best all-rounders in Mumbai. He has been doing exceptionally well at the domestic level.
Albarkaat Malik School convincingly defeated IES New English School in the semi finals of the Harris Shield Tournament, played at Bombay Gymkhana. IES was asked to bat first after Albarkaat won the toss. This move proved to be crucial as Albarkaat were able to chase a competitive total later on.
IES scored a total of 268 in 84.3 overs. Harshvardhan Barmukh’s 59 off 83 and Agasthya Bangera’s 118 ball 65 were the crucial knocks played by the IEs batsmen to set a competitive total on board. 2 Down batsman Atharva contributed valuable 47 runs as well. Bowling IES out in the 85th over was possible due to an incredible spell of Vedant Bane who claimed 4 wickets in his mammoth 21 over stretch giving away only 64 runs in the process.
John Bright Club took on the Shivaji Park Youngsters on 4th December at Bombay High Court, Oval. After winning the toss, SPY asked John Bright CC to bat first and set a target. The innings belonged to Shubham Mestry who scored an incredible 95 off 120. He was well supported by Saqib Mulani who came down the order and contributed 44. John Bright CC scored a total of 255 in 45 overs. This competitive total was possible because of the fighting innings of Shubham.
The SPY set out to chase but had a dismal outing as they were bowled out for an embarrassing 129. Akshay Bhowad and Devam Shah chipped in a few contributions but ultimately, the John Bright CC bowlers prevailed.

With a monthly reach of 1.5 million on Instgram and over 1 million on Youtube, Cricketgraph aims to introduce new faces to the mass; The website getting over 200k hits as well.

Victory CC made little work of the Sponsors XI in the ongoing Police Shield as they were bowled out for mere 147 runs in the 49th over. Mayur Sanap scored a fighting 50 but it wasn’t enough to keep his team in the fight. Vijay Gohil bowled a magical spell of 5/52 securing an upper hand in the first innings. Shashank Attarde’s 4 wicket haul supported Gohil’s spell.
Victory CC’s Jay Bista came out swinging, scoring a 88 in quick time. In the 23rd over itself, Victory CC chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand.

Mumbai Police Gymkhana were beaten by PJ Hindu Gymkhana in the ongoing Police Shield. After being asked to bat first, Mumbai Police managed a total of 298 in 70 overs losing 8 wickets in the process. Ruturaj Sane continued his blistering form this season scoring an unbeaten 112*. He was well supported by Nadeem Shaikh who contributed 62. Rahul Sawant was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets.
With a competitive total onboard, it was anyone’s game but PJ Hindu claimed it convincingly. Harsh Salunkhe and Viraj Jadhav’s contributed 38 each. After their dismissal, it was Sachin Wagh and Yogesh Dongre’s crucial partnership with sealed the game for PJ Hindu Gymkhana. Yogesh Dongre scored an unbeaten 60 as Sachin Wagh hammered an emphatic 114*. Eventually, PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the game with 6 wickets in hand and over 8 overs left.
