It was an extraordinary semifinal match between Bankhor and Bamna teams in the TMBB cup. The reason being it saw a total of 10 run outs from both sides. More than half of the wickets to fall were caused by run outs.
Amongst this mayhem of run-outs, one batsman that stood out was Pankaj Trivedi of team Bankhor. Coming to bat at one down, Pankaj showed lot of maturity and patience as he guided his team to a respectable total with 77 balls 75 runs. He hit only 5 boundaries but rotated the strike well and had good partnerships with Ashish and Dharmesh. Bankhor put together a score of 201 in 35 overs. Bankhor team had 7 run outs, Pankaj was one of them.
Bamna boys put up a good fight but fell short by 37 runs. Notable contributions from Bamna were Kashyap and Mayank.
VFCL won the toss against Chintamanis in the Friends Premier League and decided to bowl first.
Thanks to run-a-ball 48 by Shamim S. and late burst of 11-ball-21 by RajKrishna, Chintamanis put together 146 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
MoM Aman and Mitul gave excellent start to VFCL’s chase scoring 51 and 30 respectively. Aman hit 5 fours and 2 maximums. After a wondreful start the winnings runs were hit by pair of Rushabh and Vishram. VFCL won by 5 wickets and 10 balls to spare.

The first match of The Saqib Rizvi Memorial tournament was played between Vasant Vihar College Thane against St.Xaviers college Vile Parle.
Vasant Vihar college batted first and put up a dismal performance posting as little as 73 runs . Richie Misquitta Mehul Kank ripped through the entire batting order of Vasant Vihar college.
Richie M picked up 4 wickets in 3 overs whereas Mehul Kank bowled 8 overs and picked up 2 top order batsman. It was a good disciplined bowling performance by St.Xaviers bowlers.
It was an easy ask for openers Mehul Kank (34) and Sabie Gonsalves (25) and St.Xaviers chased the target without losing any wicket.
St. Xaviers college have announced their presence in a loud way by winning this one sided battle.

Sumedh Kamble scored brilliant 164 not out for his school V N Sule against Parkar Vidyalaya that set up massive an innings and 160 run win in the Harris shield.
Batting first Sule school declared innings at 394 for 7 with Sumedh on song. Sahil Jadhav too scored 83 but it was Sumedh who hit 28 boundaries helped Sule bowlers massive backing of runs and ample amount of time to bowl out opposition twice.
Patekar Vidyalaya were bundled twice for 140 and 88 respectively. Shantanu kadam claimed 7 wickets in the match
Mumbai Women gave a clinical performance to clinch the Women’s T20 plate group championship.
UPCA batting first against Mumbai eves could only manage 64 runs in 18.2 overs. For Mumbai, Sheral and captain Sunetra took 2 wickets each while Fatima returned with figures of 3 wickets for just 13 runs.
After such a great bowling performance, Mughda and Jemimah completed the winning formalities loosing just 2 wickets. Jemimah top scored with unbeaten 30 runs off 41 balls.

MUMBAI WON THE PLATE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP BY 8 WKTS
The reputed and prestigeous inter-collegiate tournament, The Saqib Rizvi Memorial tournament started today. The inauguration ceremony took place at Dadar Parsee Colony Sporting club ground in Matunga.
Many dignitaries graced the inauguration with their presence. Of which were Arvind Kadam( tournament secretary – Mumbai Cricket association ), Javed Rizvi sir , RM Suradkar ( vice principal Dr. Ambedkar college ), P P Patil sir ( Jr college sport association secretary) , Ashok Kuvar ( joint secretary – Mumbai Jr college sports association ), Sunil Desle ( sports director KG Mittal college executive Jr college sports association ) , Nisar Hussai ( Tolani college Andheri – executive member of Jr college sports association )

SWAMI VIVEKANAND INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL won the match by an Innings and 204 runs against C.N.M School.
SVIS won the toss & elected to field.
In the first inning, the opposition was bowled out for 66 runs. Hem Patel took 6 wickets in 6 overs giving 19 runs.

Swami Vivekananda school Borivali
There were many stars for Swami Vivekanand school of Kandivali in their Harris shield plate group D final against the Gundecha school.
Batting first Swami Vivekanand school posted massive 483 runs in the first innings. Chief tormentors with the bat were Mihir Agarwal, Satyam Parkar, Yatendra Jangid and Ganesh Masurkar. Mihir was just brilliant, playing bowling on it merit. He hit just 9 boundaries but string the innings together. He was out on 138 off 142 balls.

Gundecha were made to follow on after their first innings was wrapped for just 74 runs. Gundecha showed some spine in the second innings as they scored 218 runs still falling way short of Swami’s first innings total.
Vinayak Patil was the pick of the bowlers for Swami, who took 8 wickets in the match while Aryan contributed with 7 and Ganesh Masurkar took 4 wickets.

Both the captains, Siddhesh Jadhav of St. Marys and Vinit Pasad of VPM played great knocks for their schools in the Harris Shield Plate Group ‘C’ final match. While Siddhesh dazzled with a great knock of 182 runs in the second innings, Captain Jinit Pasad showed his class with both bat and ball and great temperament in chasing stiff target.

Requiring 344 to win in the second innings, VPM gave a scare to St. Marys but fell short by 22 runs when the play was called off. VPM were 321 for 5 when the play ended after 67 overs. Jinit Pasad scored an unbeaten 142 off 143 balls. VPM Mulund had one more centurion, Deepesh Hemdev who scored 109 runs.

Earlier in the day it was the other captain, Siddesh Jashav who scored scintillating 182 runs in his schools score of 267. Even though the match ended in a draw, St. Mary school was declared the winner based on the first innings lead.

Kashyap Thakkar
In last weekend’s TMBB match between Bamna and Bankhor, Bamna won the toss and chose to bat first.
In a surprising move Bamna declared their innings at the end of 33rd over in a 35 over limited overs match. Bamna waited for their opener Kashyap Thakkar to score his maiden ton and as soon as it was done they declared without utilizing the remaining 2 overs. Kashyap took just 82 balls to reach three figure mark.
Bankhor couldn’t withstand the pressure applied by Bamna bowlers and were bundled out for 149 runs. Kashyap was the obvious choice for Man of the Match award.
