Team Lohana Holidays v/s Team Terabytes Infosys

Lohana Holidays skipper’s all round performance shatters dream of Terabytes Infosys to reach the Finals
In a hard fought match all round performance of skipper Nikhil Dodhi of Lohana Holidays sealed the place in finals of OMTEX CUP 2015-16.

Today all went right for Nikhil, starting by winning the toss and inviting Terabytes Infosys to bat first on very true strip at Payyade Sports Ground. Team Terabytes suffered early set back  by losing Umesh, but men in form Kapil Sota (88) had a  decent partnership with Sandeep Bharucha. During middle overs loss of three quick wickets jolts Team Terabytes but again resistance came when Captain Mitesh Rawal(34)  steadied ship in Kapil Sota’s company. Again a mini collapse hampers the teams progress of reaching a big target but in the end Kunal Patel(33runs) played responsible knock with Jigar Shah(29 runs ) and took Team Terabytes to respectable total of 274 runs .  Team Lohana Holidays bowlers  Amit Sheth, Mitul Sheth, Nikhil Dodhi & Khalid Mulani  restricted the  opposition in the death overs and team Terabyte were bowled out in the 39 th Over

In reply regular openers started slowly, after losing Jitu Mehta and Amit Shah it was all the way Team Lohana as brilliant and responsible knock by Rajesh Mehta (60 in 52 balls) and Deep Thakkar missed the well deserved century by 2 runs (66 balls 98 runs) provided solid platform  to chase  the target of  275 runs . Later unbeaten 76 runs in 59 balls by Skipper gets Team Lohana Holidays  home with more than 3 overs to spare. It was hard fought game as Skipper of Terabytes used 10 bowlers but all efforts goes in vain.

With the results levelled at 1 -1 between the two finalists ,Lohana holidays once again meets Team Omtex in the finals on 30th Jan 2016

Opening the batting Parth Shah and Atit got  Team Omtex  off to a run a ball start before Atit(21 runs ) was caught at point by Deep Thakkar with the score on 57 in the ninth over .Chetan sanghavi and Parth had a match winning partnership which avoided further  loss of wickets  of 108 runs in 9 overs before Chetan Sanghavi was out caught at point by Khalid mulani for 29 runs with the score on 165 runs ..Captain Bhavesh ( 36 runs in 27 balls ) walked into join Parth shah and had another  crucial partnership of 52 runs before Bhavesh was stumped of the bowling of Nishant with the score on 217 in 27 overs .With last match centurion and in form  Manav walked to the crease and with Sagar Pania still to bat and with 106 runs required in 13 overs   it seemed that the run chase would be a catwalk but both Manav pasad  ( 19  runs of 12 balls ) and Sagar Pania (13 runs of 13 balls) got out cheaply and the lower middle order too collapsed quickly the pressure was all on opener Parth who hold on to his nerves to reach his century and then 165 runs n.o.( 28 fours and 2 sixes)   and took the team to victory in the 39th  over with Jayesh Shah hitting the winning runs with a  six  to qualify for the Finals. .
