What does a cricketer do in off season – especially when its raining everywhere with grounds covered with mud and water ? Few may think of relaxing completely for the entire off season or joining a local gym.

But how about effectively using this off season to train yourself to be a better cricketer !

Pravin Tambe Cricket Academy, famously known as P.T Academy is conducting a Monsoon Fitness camp for cricketers but the benefits are not limited to only cricketers. Anyone and everyone who is serious about being fit, think no further.

The session is spread over 3 days in a week, Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each day is designed to achieve a specific goal. It could be about running fast, strengthening your core muscles, building stamina. Each session lasts for 1.5 hours and begins sharply at 7.30 A.M at the PT academy in Mulund, Mumbai.

To put things in better perspective, let us walk you through one of the days. On Monday for example, one is required to complete 2 sets of 600 meters followed by 6 sets of 200 meters. Sounds easy ? How about you achieving each goal in a specific time period. All the participants are supposed to complete 2 sets of 100 meters each in 40 seconds. Every subsequent week, participants are pushed to break their previous weeks record.

Pravin Tambe (43) a veteran leg spinner who has played for IPL teams – Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions also trains and sweats along with all the participants. PT is known for this fitness in international circuit and expects nothing less from the members of PT fitness camp.

PT is ably supported by Nitin Madhvi, fitness coach at PT academy and ensures discipline is maintained.

To  add a fun element to this grueling fitness sessions, football too is played at the end of session which acts as a great stress buster. Pravin Tambe also emphasizes a lot on relaxing the muscles in between. He has strongly recommended use of protien supplements after a fitness session, clearly indicating that he is passing all the valuable training lessons he has learnt from his IPL trainers and his own experience.

Not a single participant seems to be complaining about the full-on fitness schedule, on the contrary everyone walks out with a BIG sense of satisfaction and a growing faith in their abilities.

PT academy believes in creating a fitness culture and have kept this session open to all. With a monthly subscription fee of Rs.1500/- this surely is a steal. You can call on 9664542710 / 8879418366 and ask for a free 1-day trial.
