Deciding to bat first, Hindu Gymkhana were dismissed for 115 in 30.2 overs. Jash Ganiga was the leading scorer with 49 runs. Iyer received good backing from teammates Shashank Kumar 2 for 8 and Shahbaz Alam 2 for 11 to demolish the Hindu Gymkhana innings. Later, Mumbai CC easily reached the winning target of 116 for 5 wickets in 30.1. Besides Amanat knock all-rounder Ayush Iyer scored 37 runs to steer Mumbai CC home. Jash Ganiga claimed 2 for 21 runs.

Mumbai, April 25: The combined efforts from medium pacer Gopendra Bohara’s excellent bowling spell of 3 wickets for 11 runs and middle-order bat Siddharth Akare responsible knock of 49 runs (33-balls, 2×4,5×6) helped Space Sports Club emerge champions defeating DTDC Express SC by a convincing 7 wickets in the MCA Corporate Trophy ‘B’ Division final, played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground, Marine Drive on Monday.
After electing to field first, Space SC bowlers were a disciplined lot and stunned the DTDC batsmen by picking wickets at regular intervals before dismissing them for a paltry 105 all out in 19.5 overs. Besides Bohara’s fine bowling performance, left-arm spinner Saeed Khot played a good supporting role by claiming 2 wickets for just 6 runs. DTDC’s most dependable opening batsman Japjeet Randhawa had a rare failure as he could only score 28 runs while Bhushan Talawadekar was only the other batter to contribute 23 runs to the total.
Chasing a modest target, Space SC comfortably overhauled the opponents score reaching 111 for 3 wickets in 14.2 overs. Mumbai, April 24: Dashing opener Varun Lavande’s cracked a feisty 30-ball 76 runs (7×4,6×6) and No.3 bat Anand Bais smashed a composed unbeaten 43-ball 76 runs (7×4,5×6) and steered Tata Sports Club to a convincing 8-wicket victory against Dr. D.Y. Patil SA in the MCA Corporate Trophy ‘A’ Division final, played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground, Marine Drive on Monday evening.
Chasing a challenging target of 182 runs, Tata SC lost opener Aakarshit Gomel cheaply and with only 23 runs on the board. But, Lavande and Bais took the fight to the rivals and stitched together a match-winning second wicket partnership of 126 runs from 66 balls to put their team on the road to victory. Lavande’s 69 minutes stay in the middle was studded with seven boundaries and well-timed sixes, while Bais who batted sedately initially, but later was aggressive smashed seven hits to the ropes and five powerful sixes which ensured Tata’s SC easily crossed the finish line reaching 182 for 2 wickets with plenty to spare. D.Y. Patil ledt-arm medium pacer Vipul Krishna claimed both the Tata SC wickets giving away 30 runs.
Earlier, D.Y. Patil who were sent in to bat first, saw their batsmen failed to convert the good starts and make bid contributions and the innings close at 180 for six wickets from their stipulated 20 overs. New Hind Sporting Club emerged as champions of the Young Comrade Shield against Victory Cricket Club, winning by a mammoth margin of 105 runs.
Batting first, New managed to score a mammoth total of 364 in 89 overs. Pranav Kela missed out a century by just one run. Apart from him, Aayush Zimare, Karan Shah and Akshay Jamnbhekar chipped in handy knocks. Sachin Bhosale and Aditya Rajhans managed to claim 3 wickets.
In reply Victory could muster only 256 runs as they were bowled out in the 49th over. Jay Jain and Suraj Shinde scoring half centuries but falling short. Leg-spinner Parikshit Valsangkar bowled a match-winning knock of 6/78 to make sure New Hind has the first-innings lead.
New Hind piled up the runs in the second innings by scoring 264/5 in just 40 overs. Siddhant Adhatrao scored a brilliant unbeaten century as Sumit Ghadigaonkar scored 64. With a lead of 373, New Hind were in the driving seat. Ultimately Victory were bowled out for just 267. Kaushal Tambe (83), Vaibhav Choughale (65) and Suved Parkar (52) attempting their level best but the final innings lasted for just 34.1 overs.

Mumbai, April 21: All-rounder Shreyas Khilare solid knock of 92 runs and his impressive bowling spell of claiming 3 wickets for 27 runs was the highlights of Victory Cricket Club clinching a fighting 20-run victory against Dashing Sports Club in the final of the Boys’ Under-12 finals of the MCA Bhaskar Thakur Memorial Trophy Cricket Tournament, played at the P.J. Hindu Gymkhana ground, Marine Drive.
Choosing to bat first, Victory CC powered by the composed batting of opening bat Khilare who smashed 7 boundaries during his 101-ball innings and captain and opener Harsh Kadam’s half-century effort of 67 runs went on to pile up a modest total of 182 for the loss of 3 wickets from their stipulated 35 overs. Khilare and Harsh batted confidently and were associated in a 138 run partnership for the first wicket in 29 overs which boosted the total.
Dashing SC’s all-rounder Arjun Dadar was the star performer for his team as he was the only successful bowler to pick two wickets for 47 runs.
In response the Dashing CC opening pair of Arhaan Patel who batted steadily to score a 61-ball 43 runs and skipper Arham Jain 20 runs provided the team an ideal start as they scored 52 runs for the first. Thereafter, Dashing CC lost wickets rather quickly before lower order Arjun to some extent defied the rival bowling attack with a gutsy innings, but he ran out of partners and lost the match. ARCC took on Stallions in the Fair Play T20 White Ball Champions League in an enticing game of cricket. ARCC managed to score 115 in 20 overs. Rutunjay Rahane scored 22 as Bhavin Darji scored a crucial knock of 33* off 27. Stallion’s skipper Devarshi Tambe bowled an excpetional spell of 3/14 in 4 overs.
As the Stallions began their runchase, they lost wickets at regular intervals. Rajeesh Nambiar and Ajinkya Divekar claimed 3 wickets each as the match came down to the last over for the Stallions to chase just 6 runs. Stallions required just 2 runs off just 4 balls with only a wicket in hand, ARCC held their nerve and claimed the final wicket as they emerged victorious by just 1 run.
Victorians CC took on Master Blasters in the Fair Play T20 White Ball Champions League. Master Basters won the game comfortably with a massive margin of 86 runs. After scoring 209/4 in the first innings, Victorians managed only 123 losing 9 wickets.
Opener Mukesh Lokhande hammered 44 off just 34 balls before getting retired hurt as Girijesh Singh faced 23 balls for his 42.
