Played between Tarapur Vidyamandir and National English High School, Tarapur Vidyamandir won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 148/10 in 39.1 overs. Spinner Sharik Baloch who had impressed one and all in various tournaments last year continued to perform with his impressive spin bowling coming up with great bowling figures of 7/47 in 15.1 overs with 3 maidens.
Sharik’s bowling was spot as he continued to bowl at line and lengths which was difficult for the batsman to read. National English School in reply were all out for 128 runs in 43 overs at the Jivdani Cricket Ground.
Palghar Dahanu team after being made to bat first played well scoring 183/8 in 20 overs. Anything above 180 is always defendable and they managed to surpass that mark. Harshit (49) and Mandar (34) played crucial knocks for their team while the Worli SC bowlers were a bit on the expensive side with an average economy rate of 8.8 runs per over.
Worli SC who were 3wkts down for 26 runs came back into the game thanks to a very timely half century by Japjeet Singh Randhawa. Japjeet settled in and ensured his team did not lose more wickets scoring a 43 ball 57 (4 fours, 2 sixes) while left hander Risabh Pandit gave the finishing touch with a brilliant 36 ball 60*(5 fours, 2 sixes) as both the players stitched a crucial 105 run stand in just 59 balls as Worli SC won a thriller by 4wkts and 3 balls to spare.
Played at Matunga Gymkhana and Ghatkoper Jolly Gymkhana at the Matunga Gymkhana Ground, Matunga boys won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 240/9 in 45 overs. Ihsaan Amin opening the innings scored an impressive 64 off 104 balls (4 fours, 1six) while Shinosh Panikar scored a quick 50 ball 58 laced with 7 fours and 3 sixes to help his team reach a healthy total. The no.9 and 10 batsmen chipped in with crucial cameos as Sandeep and Shubham stitched a 52 runs stand in last 5 overs for the 9th wicket.

Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana while chasing fell short as they reached a total of 207/9 in 45 overs. Matunga Gymkhana won the match by 33 runs while Ishaan and Shinosh stood out being the highlight performers in the match.
Karnatak SA after being made to bat first were least deterred as they notched up a very defendable total of 170/3 in 20 overs. Rudra Dhanday who is known for his big knocks and aggressive batting top scored for his team scoring a sublime 63 ball 89 laced with 12 boundaries and good running between the wickets.

Parsee Gymkhana in reply fell short managing to reach a total of 153/8 with Bravish Shetty scoring an aggressive 64 off 46 balls which had 5 sixes. Aiswarya Surve and Prathamesh Dake bowled taking 5 wkts between themselves while conceding only 53 runs in 48 balls.
Karnatak SA won the match by 13 runs while it was Rudra standing out with his brilliant 89.
In the finals, OLPS were all out for 113 runs thanks to some really tight bowling by the Fatima High School bowlers. Sandeep Palav and Ayush Bidwai were the pick of the bowlers taking 3/26 and 2/19 respectively.

Chasing 114, Ayush Bidwai and Shaun Gomes finished the game in style with both the batsman scoring 43*. Ayush was declared the “man of the match” in the finals for his 63 ball 43* and 2 wkts. He was also declared ‘the best batsman of the tournament“ apart from getting 2 man of the match awards.
Fatima School won the match by 8 wkts and also become the tournament winners.
JP Morgan after being made to bat first at Oval Maidan notched up a defendable total of 154/2 in 20 overs. Opener Hoshiyar Rajput scored a anchoring 63* off 66 balls while Ankit Gupta smacked the bowlers coming up with a match winning 33 ball 74*laced with 8 fours and 5 sixes. Both the batsman also stitched a 147 run stand.
In reply, Citibank were bundled out for 79 runs thanks to a stunner of spell by Santosh Radhakrishnan. Santosh came up with bowling figures of 4/12 in 3 overs which played a crucial role in his team’s win. What’s more he took a hat-trick in a T20 game which became the turning point in the match. Ankit Gupta chipped in with the ball too taking 2 wkts as JP Morgan won the match by 75 runs.
In the first match where VICA won the toss and elected to bat first, it was Bheemkumar Shah taking on the bowlers with a fiery 66 off 48 balls. His innings was laced with 3 sixes and 7 fours as VICA reached a total of 128/3 in 20 overs. Titans Cricket Academy were all out for 67 runs as their batting line up collapsed handing over a big win by 61 runs to Vijay indap Cricket Academy.

Prasad Gangurde who scored 25* while also bagged 4 wkts in his economical spell was declared ‘man of the match’
In the 2nd match which was PTCA batting first scored 121/6 in 20 overs with Hitesh Shikhavat top scoring with 27 runs. Pro King boys chased down the score successfully and won the match by 2 wkts with jay scoring a quick 21 ball 28.

FSS after electing to bat first at Oval Maidan notched up a total of 158/2 in 20 overs with openers Suryakant Kumar and Onkar giving a flying start. Suryakant scored 53 off 56 balls while Onkar scored 41 (40balls). Rakesh Rao at no.3 remained unbeaten on 32* off 23 balls.
Defending 153 runs vs Nerolac team, Gandharva Shetye came up with a heroic spell and achieved a feat which is very difficult to achieve on daily basis. Gandharva came up with match winning bowling figrures of 6/10 in 3 overs which eventually reduced Nerolac to 127runs all out.
FSS won the match in a commanding manner while Gandharva Shetye was declared ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant 6 wkt haul.
Yuvraj Salvi who is accredited with the ICC (International Cricket Council) level 1 Cricket Coach is not only a fitness trainer with the DY Patil team but he is also in the squad as a player for DY Patil Group B. Yuvraj has also represented Ruparel College team for 6 years where he won the championship in his final year Apart from that, Yuvi has also been one active contributor with Cricketgraph too serving as the Fitness expert and coming up with interesting articles on strength, fitness and nutrition.

Yuvraj seeems to be on a roll as he added a few more feathers in his cap. He was recently made the Mumbai U16 Women’s team strength and conditioning coach while he also got accredited by the ASCA-Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) level 1.
For his promising journey so far, Yuvraj said he is thankful to Mr Narsh Churi who is his Cricket coach. Yuvraj qupped- “He really backed my Cricket and also helped me not only become a good cricketer but a great person”

Played at OFSC ground Ambernath
Pace and Swing of Gaurav Bengre’s leads early strikes with new ball ensured batting Collapse of strong batting attack of SKN who were bowled out for meagre 110 in 22nd over in a 40 overs game. Gaurav bagged 3/22 in 7overs as he was not only economical but also spot on with his line and length.

For ESWA, chase was shaky and at one time they were in trouble with 5 wkts down for 67 runs. Thanks to the matured innings of Aakash Sadadekar under pressure who ensured a well fought win in 26th over after the initial batting collapse. Aakash innings was filled with class and strokes all over the ground as he scored a very crucial 34 runs off 52 balls staying solid at one end as ESWA won the match by 5 wkts.
