Opting to bat first, JSW Steel Ltd. CC batsmen found the going tough and could only post a meagre total of 111 runs all out in 18.2 overs. Thanks to the knocks from Parag Jadhav 38 runs (36-balls, 6×4) and Arjun Thappa 20 runs JSW Steel managed to cross the three-figure mark. Aruprit Tigers bowling attack led by Piyush Kanojia 3 for 15, Hrushikesh Pawar 3 for 26, Nirankar Sharma 2 for 18 and Navin Wagh 2 for 23 shared the wickets.
Defending a low score, the JSW Steel bowlers rose to the challenge and managed to dismiss Aruprit Tigers for a measly 78 runs all out in 18.4 overs. Tushar Chate was the top-scorer with 26 runs. JSW Steel bowlers Yash Kripal 2 for 11, Nikhil Ambhire 2 for 14 and Chirag Kini 2 for 15 did well to contain the rival batters and snatch a deserving victory and emerge champions.

Deciding to bat first, Jain Irrigation CC managed to amass quite a challenging score of 165 runs for 8 wickets from their stipulated 20 overs. Later, the Jain Irrigation bowling attack picked up wickets at regular intervals to contain the Automotive CC batter and restrict them to 144 runs for the loss of nine wickets from their quota of 20 overs and secure the victory.
Jain Irrigation was well-served by left-handed middle-order batsman Kaushal Tambe who scored a 27-ball 44 runs with two boundaries and sixes each. His knock along with substantial contributions from number three bat Jay Jain 24 runs and number four bat Suved Parkar 37 runs (24-balls, 5×4) put the Jain Irrigation innings back on track and lifted the total. Automotive’s Santosh Chavan 3 for 24 and Aditya Rane 3 for 29 were their best bowlers.

Mumbai, May 21: Young talented all-rounder Musheer Khan played a significant role with bat and ball, which ensured Mumbai Police City Riders emerge champions by comfortably defeating Thane Marathas by 20 runs in the final of the Mumbai Cricket Club (MCC) and Jwala Sports Foundation (JSF) organized MitsuiShoji T20 Cricket League (Season 9), played under floodlights at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground, Marine Drive on Saturday.
Chief Guest, Chaminda Vaas, Sri Lanka’s legendary fast bowlers awarded the Champions and Runners-up Trophies and the cash awards to the two teams. Mumbai Police received a cheque of Rs 70,000 and Thane Marathas had to rest content with a sum of Rs 30,000.
Sent in to bat first, Mumbai Police riding on Musheer’s blistering innings piled up a massive total of 167 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. The 18-year-old opening batsman Musheer played some exquisite strokes on both sides of the wicket and went on to score a quick 32-ball 61 runs which was studded with six boundaries and five well-struck hits over the fence. Musheer along with Hardik Tamore 29 runs put on 77 runs for 1st wicket in 7.5 overs which laid the foundation for Mumbai Police to build a substantial total. Later, Shrikant Limbole added 28 runs to lift the Mumbai Police innings.
Later, the left-arm spinner Musheer claimed 3 quick wickets for 17 runs to dismiss Thane Marathas for 147 in 19 overs. Left-arm spinner Sagar Mishra 2 for 14 and medium pacer Deepak Shetty 2 for 26 played perfect supporting roles.
Middle-order bat Harshal Jadhav 45 runs (37-balls, 3×4,2×6) and Sagar Jadhav 29 (20-balls, 2×4,2×6) tried to keep Marathas in the fight, but the other batsmen failed to stay long at the crease and they failed to reach the winning target.

It certainly benefits the youngsters, helps in the promotion of the game and develops players for the future,” Vaas said during the prize distribution function.
“I have been here in Mumbai for the past 5 days and spent plenty of time with youngsters during the JSF High Performance training camp. I noticed that there are so many talented young cricketers, who are being trained by highly qualified coaches. Jwala (Singh) is a reputed and dedicated coach who is extremely passionate about cricket and keen to encourage youngsters. He has already produced several top class cricketers and I am confident that many more players from his academies will make it big,” the left-handed speedster pointed out.

61st RBI Sir Benegal Ramarau Inter- Bank cricket tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the Tournament Shri. Ajay Michyari, Regional Director, RBI Mumbai Office.
In the Bank Shield Cricket tournament 14 teams have participated with around 210 players giving their best to be on the winning side.
The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials of R.B.I. and the attendees were Pankaj Kumar, CGM, R Sudeep GM, Bipin Nair, DGM, Ramesh Iyer, DGM, Abhay Joshi, AGM and other Senior officers from Reserve Bank of India.

The Tournament has also got support from various Unions and Associations of Reserve Bank of India and was attended by Shri. Subhash Agarwal, RBOA , Shri. Gavin Coelho, AIRBOA, Shri. Ajit Subhedar, AIRBEA and Shri. Ramesh Pitale, AIRBWF.
The opening match of the tournament was played between the hosts i.e., Reserve Bank of India and New India Assurance. RBI, under the guidance of Yashwant Bhosle, Coach started off their campaign with a comfortable win against New India Assurance. RBI scored 222 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. While chasing this total, NEW INDIA ASSURANCE were bowled out for a score of 105 in 19.1 overs.
RBI WON THE MATCH BY 117 RUNS, thanks to MAN OF THE MATCH AMIT PASI FROM RBI MUMBAI as HE SCORED 91 RUNS IN JUST 51 BALLS. The spin duo of RBI, with Jay Nayak and Kunal Shirke had a good day with the ball and both finished with 3 wickets each.
