Kishor Waghela, a highly regarded coach in Mumbai cricket, has recently been appointed as the coach of the Myanmar Cricket Team, an international cricket team. He is not only the owner of Advance Sports and Event Cricket Academy but also serves as the coach for the successful corporate team, DTDC. Known for their consistent performance in Mumbai’s cricketing circuit, DTDC has been a testament to Waghela’s coaching abilities.
Waghela is a young yet experienced coach who has not only played cricket in Mumbai but also internationally. He has played professional cricket in countries such as UAE, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Nepal. He also has the experience of playing county cricket in England for 15 years, additionally he had the privilege of being part of the coaching team for Middlesex in the United Kingdom, further enhancing his coaching expertise. “I not only work on technical skills but also try to improve their confidence while playing the sport. I ask the players to do various batting drills that help better shot selection capabilities” is the go to mantra of Kishor’s coaching.

Aruprit Tigers – A MCA Corporate trophy team has touched new heights. Aruprit Tigers a team of Navi- Mumbai based Aruprit Tigers LLP owned by Arun Kende, Priti Arun Kende and Purva Arun Kende won the MCA Corporate Trophy 2021-2022 season playing for F- Division. As a result they were promoted to E-Divion for MCA corporate Trophy 2022-2023. After reaching the finals of the F Division they finished as runners-up in the E Division. Aruprit Tigers will play in the D Division of the MCA Corporate Cricket Trophy in the 2023-24 season as per the rules of the promotion.
Mumbai Cricket Association organized the prize distribution ceremony for both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons on 30th June 2023 at the MCA Lounge in the Wankhede Stadium in a grand felicitation ceremony. In this ceremony, Aruprit Tigers team was honored with two trophies for the title of F Division in 2021-22 and the runner-up title of E Division in 2022-23.
Apart from these trophies, Aruprit Tigers also bagged the Best Batsman – Vicky Patil, Best Bowler – Hrshikesh Pawar, Best Player – Hrshikesh Pawar awards in F Division for the season 2021-22. He has been actively involved in the Mumbai cricket circuit and has represented various top clubs in different tournaments. Subodh has had the privilege of training with Terry Jenner, who coached the legendary leg spinner Shane Warne. His bowling action reflects the influence of this training.
Subodh’s cricket journey extends beyond Mumbai, as he has played in countries like Australia, U.K, and U.A.E. India’s campaign in the tournament begins on July 2nd against the USA 50+ team, followed by a game against England on July 6th, 2023.
In addition to his playing career, Subodh is a certified level 1 coach under the ICC GCA program conducted by the ICC in Dubai.
