Thane, 5th May 2025 — Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-II delivered another powerful performance in the Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025, defeating S.K.C.A.S. by 61 runs in the quarter-final played at Dadoji Konddev Stadium Thane.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-II posted a solid total of 200/5 in 20 overs. The star of the innings was Chinmay Sutar, who played a brilliant knock of 70 runs off 41 balls, smashing 6 fours and 3 sixes. This is Chinmay’s second impactful performance in the tournament, once again proving why he is one of the most exciting players to watch this season.

He was well supported by Siddhant Singh, who scored 49 runs in just 38 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Aishwarya Surve also chipped in with an unbeaten 30 off 17 balls to finish the innings on a high.

In response, S.K.C.A.S. could only manage 139/8 in 20 overs. Despite a fighting 43 from Shreyas Kumar and a 27-run effort from Nirmit Mandodkar, they never looked in control of the chase. In a powerful display of all-round cricket, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-1 began their  Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025 campaign with a thumping 136-run victory over Thane Warriors Cricket Club at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium.

Winning the toss, Thane Warriors opted to field first—a decision that backfired as Eknath Shinde CC-1 posted a massive 226/5 in 20 overs. The innings was headlined by an explosive partnership between Shashikant Kadam and Rohan Raje, both of whom remained unbeaten and scored half-centuries.

Rohan Raje: 56* (36 balls, 6 fours, 4 sixes) – Player of the Match

Shashikant Kadam: 54* (47 balls, 5 fours, 3 sixes)

Thane, 3rd May 2025 SR’s Group defeated Golden Star Cricket Club by 5 wickets in the 5th match of the Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025, played at Dadoji Konddev Stadium.

Golden Star C.C. batted first and were all out for 108 runs in 19.5 overs. Jayesh Pokhare was the top scorer with 54 runs off 33 balls (4 fours, 6 sixes). The star performer for SR’s Group was Vaibhav Mali, who took 4 wickets for 28 runs in 3.5 overs. His excellent spell earned him the Man of the Match award.

In reply, SR’s Group chased down the target comfortably, scoring 114/5 in 15.3 overs. Sagar Mishra played a match-winning knock of 48 runs off 36 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes), while Shanu Rodrigues added 29 runs.

With this win, SR’s Group picked up an easy victory and showed strong form in the tournament.

Thane, May 2, 2025 – In an exciting match of the Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025, SKCAS defeated Maharashtra Cricket Academy (MCA) by 27 runs at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium.

SKCAS batted first and scored a big total of 197 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Aditya Parab scored a quick 47 runs in 26 balls, hitting 7 fours and 1 six.
Shreyash Kumar made 42 runs in 28 balls, and Preet Nanda played a powerful innings of 46 not out in 27 balls, smashing 2 fours and 6 sixes.

For Maharashtra Cricket Academy, Sanket Yashwante was the best bowler with 2 wickets for 28 runs, while Wasim Ashraf and Gafoor Shaikh took 1 wicket each.

Mumbai’s very own Raunaq Sharma created history in the Washington Metropolitan Cricket Board (WMCB) T20 Championship, smashing the fastest-ever century in the history of DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia) cricket. The explosive right-hander reached his century in just 30 balls and ended with 106 off 34 deliveries, sending shockwaves across the league.

Representing United CC, Raunaq lit up the game with a brutal display of power hitting, hammering 5 fours and 12 towering sixes. His record-breaking innings powered United CC to a mammoth 239 in 20 overs after Washington CC won the toss and chose to bowl.

Raunaq wasn’t done yet — he also contributed with the ball, grabbing 2 crucial wickets, showcasing his all-round brilliance. He was well supported in the batting department by Tallal Zia, who scored a valuable 54 off 34 balls.

In the second innings, United CC’s bowlers maintained a tight grip, restricting Washington CC to 154, securing a 69-run win. Bowlers Khurram Sindhu, Atish Gawand, Parvesh Rajvanshi, and Tapinder Mangat all picked up 2 wickets each, sharing the load and ensuring a dominant finish.

Thane, May 2, 2025 Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-II put up a brilliant show to beat Salgaonkar Sports Club by 8 wickets in the 3rd match of the Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025 at Dadoji Konddev Stadium.

Salgaonkar SC won the toss and decided to bat first. They managed to score only 101 runs in 19 overs. Most of their batsmen got out quickly, with Kunesh Patil scoring the highest – 16 runs. The bowlers from Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-II did a great job. Hemanth Buchade and Amit Pandey took 2 wickets each, making it hard for the Salgaonkar batters to score. Karsh Kothari also played a key role with the ball, giving away just 12 runs in 3 tight overs and picking up 1 crucial wicket. 

In reply, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club-II  chased the target in just 7.5 overs. The hero of the match was Chinmay Sutar, who smashed an unbeaten 75 runs off just 29 balls, including 10 fours and 4 sixes. Despite early wickets of Siddhant Singh and Om keshkamat, the match was sealed in emphatic fashion as onslaught left theChinmay Sutar opposition bowlers clueless. Pranav Tillu was the most effective bowler for Salgaonkar SC, picking 2 wickets for 23 runs.

The Thane Premier League (TPL) 2025 began with an exciting match between Defending Champions Ambernath Rising Cricket Club and Union Cricket Club. Ambernath Rising Cricket Club started their campaign with a strong win, defeating Union Cricket Club by 68 runs.

Union Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bowl first. But Ambernath Rising’s batters made the most of the chance. Anil Ronanki played a brilliant innings, scoring 67 runs in just 31 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. He was well supported by Jitesh Raut, who smashed 50 runs in only 17 balls, hitting 2 fours and 6 sixes. Together, they helped Ambernath Rising Cricket Club score a big total of 234 runs in 20 overs.

Chasing 235, Union Cricket Club could not keep up with the run rate. The star with the ball for Ambernath was Prathamesh Mahale, who bowled an amazing spell of 4 overs, taking 4 wickets and giving away only 15 runs. Mayur Divekar also bowled well, picking up 2 wickets in 2 overs.

The tournament is being organised by Maharashtra Maza Seva Sanstha and Shri. Vikas Krishna Repale under the aegis of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

The grand inauguration was graced by Shri. Eknathji Shinde Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Shri.
