On April 8, Crescent Cricket Club and Apollo Cricket Club locked horns against each other during the MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament. Crescent Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Batting first, Apollo Cricket Club were bundled out for a paltry 100 in 29.2 overs. Vedant Patil wreaked havoc with the ball as he struck with 5-21 in 7.2 overs, including one maiden. Patil sent half of the opposition’s batting line up packing, thanks to his disciplined bowling effort. On the other hand, for Apollo Cricket Club, opening batter, Suraj Singh top scored with a 50-ball 31.

In reply, Crescent Cricket Club made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in just 9.2 overs, winning the match by 10 wickets. The opening pair of Aditya Rawat (62 not out off 28 balls) and Harsh Pal (32 not out off 24 balls) sealed the deal for Crescent Cricket Club with their delectable batting. On the other hand, Apollo Cricket Club had an off day with the ball as none of the bowlers managed to pick up a wicket.

On March 17, Crayons Software Experts India PL took on Times of India Sports Club during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Times of India Sports Club  won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Times of India Sports Club were bowled out for a paltry 93 in 30 overs, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by Crayons Software Experts India PL. Shivam Patel was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped 4-23, rattling the opposition batting line-up. Patel bowled tight lines and lengths to yield rich dividends. Sachin Patel bowled well in tandem with Shivam Patel as the former bagged 3-24. On the other hand, Times of India Sports Club had an ordinary outing with the bat. 

In reply, Crayons Software Experts India PL completed the formalities in 18.3 overs, winning the match by six wickets. Amar Mehta top scored with 33 runs, with Rohit Yadav making a useful contribution of 30 not out. With the ball, for Times of India Sports Club, it was Pankaj Sawant, who was the pick of the bowlers. Sawant struck with 3-37.

Shivam Patel was the top performer of the match. Patel powered Crayons Software Experts India PL to a six-wicket win in the MCA Corporate Trophy by beating Times of India Sports Club.

On April 10, Gay Cavaliers Cricket Club locked horns against Parsee Pioneer Cricket Club during the Kanga League Knock Out Tournament. Parsee Pioneer Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Parsee Pioneer Cricket Club were bundled out for a paltry 101 in 34.5 overs. Harsh Patil wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 5-29 in 8.5 overs. The slow left arm spinner rattled the opposition in a jiffy, thanks to his disciplined bowling effort. On the other hand, Omkar More top scored for Parsee Pioneer Cricket Club with a 50-ball 28.

In reply, Gay Cavaliers Cricket Club chased down the target with ease as they completed the formalities in just 9.4 overs. Opening batter Deepak Shukla led the run chase with a delightful 51 off 34 balls, including five boundaries. Shukla stitched a 91-run partnership with his opening partner Yash Dhuri (39 not out off 22 balls) to set the tone for the chase. Early in the day, Shukla picked up 1-16 in five overs, bowling off spin. On the other hand, Parth Agarwal was the lone wicket-taker as he struck with 1-20 in three overs.

Gay Cavaliers Cricket Club beat Parsee Pioneer Cricket Club by nine wickets during the Kanga League Knock Tournament.

Played at Bishop School Camp in Pune, Fallah Cricket Academy opting to bat first scored 112/10 in 19.4 overs with Sarthak Bafna at the middle order top scoring with 39 runs off 26 balls. From the bowlers, Divyang Ashok with 3/18 in 3.4 overs was the pick of the lot while the rest of the bowlers also chipped in with a wicket or two.

Chasing 113, RK Academy Girls XI crossed the victory line in the 15th over winning the match by 8 wkts. Parth Swami at no.3 anchored the chase with a solid 45* off 30 balls laced with 7 boundaries. R K Academy Girls 11 won the match by 8 wickets & Divyang Ashok was declared ‘man of the match’

Karnataka after being put to bat first were all out for 204 runs in 58.2 overs. All-Rounder Shams Mulani with his tactical left arm spin proved to be one difficult bowler for Karnataka as he came up with excellent bowling figures of 5/52 in 20.2 overs including 7 maidens.

Mumbai Team in reply scored 273 runs courtesy a brilliant hundred by opener Divyaansh Saxena who scored a matured innings of 102 runs in 214 balls smashing 10 fours and a six. Armaan Jaffer who came at no.4 also played well for his 67 which came off 134 balls. Karnataka in 2nd innings batted well scoring 312 runs and it was again Shams being the pick of the lot taking 5/76 in 42.2 overs which included 10 maidens.

Chasing 244, Mumbai did look in trouble at one stage losing quick wickets at the middle order with  scoreboard reading 50/6 in 27th over. However, Suved Parkar scripted a magical 4th innings hundred scoring an unbeaten 103* off 163 balls alongwith Shams Mulani who scored 74* off 153 balls as both the batters stitched a record 194 run stand for the 7th wicket to handover Mumbai a 4wkt win over Karnataka and enter into the semi finals of the tournament.

National Cricket Club opting to bat first at DPC Matunga Ground in Mumbai seem to be in a commanding position on Day 1 courtesy heroics by Sumeet Dhekale who produced a magnificent innings coming at no.9. The top and middle order consisting of opener Piyush Sohane (45 runs), Swapnil Pradhan (45 runs) and Vedant Murkar (45 runs) contributed with crucial cameos but it was their surprise package at no.9 which raised the eyerbrows DPC Sports Club bowlers.

Sumeet went on to score a brilliant 100 in mere 45 balls and he continued his onslaught scoring overall 143 runs in mere 68 balls which consisted 12 fours and 11 sixes covering almost every corner of the ground. National CC scored a total of 309/10 in 52.1 overs while DPC has batted only one over at the end of the game’s play.

Rohit Singh Sisodia, a n impactful bowler takes his team Holyhans Wellness to victory against the Choudhary Group in the Talent Premier League 2022 and the losing team selected to field as they triumph in the toss. The Holyhans Wellness group scored 172 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 25 overs with Shahrukh Khan and Vinod Rebari scoring 58 and 30 runs respectively for their team!

As the Choudhary Group came out to bat, they had started to pressurize their opponents as their best batsman Sattar Khan who was standing on the field till the end scored a massive total of 104 runs out of the 165 runs scored by them in 20 overs! It was only when Rohit Singh Sisodia came to bowl, he took 6 wickets in only 4 overs giving 25 runs resulting in an economy of 5.56 runs! Two other bowlers including Vinod Rebari and Shahrukh Khan took 2 wickets each for their team resulting in the loss of Chaudhary Group!

On April 10, SKCC took on Umelmaan Cricket Club at Vasai during the late Dayanand Mhapankar Smruti Chashak. This is an MCA affiliated cricket tournament. 

Batting first, SKCC posted a respectable score of 7-147 in 20 overs. Middle order batter Adarsh Singh top scored with a useful 34. Early in the day, the opening pair of Ayush Vartak (20) and Kshitij Terwankar (16) provided a steady start. The duo put together  41 runs for the first wicket. On the other hand, for Umelmaan Cricket Club, Kanak Kini was the pick of the bowlers. Kini scalped 3-26 in four overs.

In reply, Umelmaan Cricket Club fought hard as they piled up 132 runs. However they were bowled out to lose the match by 15 runs. Opening batter Dhruv Brid’s 48 and middle order batter Siddhesh Gharat’s 56 went in vain as the rest of the batters failed to contribute. For SKCC, Ayush Vartak starred with the ball as he picked up 4-27 in four overs. Vartak opened the bowling with Prasad Patil and bowled well with the new ball.

Ayush Vartak was the top performer of the match. Vartak powered SKCC to a 15-run win over Umelmaan Cricket Club in the late Dayanand Mhapankar Smruti Chashak, an MCA affiliated cricket tournament.

On April 3, SKCC locked horns against Sportsmen Cricket Club at Vasai during the late Dayanand Mhapankar Smruti Chashak. This is an MCA affiliated cricket tournament. 

Batting first, SKCC posted a competitive score of 3-187 in 20 overs. Opening batter Ayush Vartak top scored with a brilliant 92. Vartak set the tone with his clean hitting and was well supported by his opening partner Kshitij Terwankar (37). The duo put together 72 runs for the first wicket. On the other hand, Sportsmen Cricket Club had an ordinary outing with the ball as they had no answers to the questions posed by SKCC.

In reply, Sportsmen Cricket Club scored 134 as they were bundled out, losing the match by 53 runs. Adarsh Singh wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 4-18 in his four overs. Pratik Patil chipped in with 2-5 in two overs, while Hitesh Chorge and Vismit Raut accounted for one wicket each. Opening batter Vivek Pandey top scored with 44 runs however he kept losing partners at regular intervals. 

SKCC registered a 53-run win over Sportsmen Cricket Club in the late Dayanand Mhapankar Smruti Chashak, an MCA affiliated cricket tournament.

C & D Division

Bohra Cricketers batting first were least aware on what was about to hit them as they were bundled out for 49 runs in 12.2 overs. It was a huge batting collapse from Bohra Team with only one player i.e their opener managing to score in double digits.  Left-arm Spinner Yash Chavan was simply exceptional with the ball as he returned with amazing bowling figures of 5/6 in 3.2 overs including a maiden. Spinner Bharat Patil also bowled well taking 3 wkts for 11 runs in his spell of 3 overs.

Chasing 50 runs was a mere formality for Sainath Team as they finished off the match in the 13th over winning the finals by 8 wkts. Shikhar Thakur at no.4 remained unbeaten on 25* off 23 balls.
