IPCA sports club won the toss and elected to field first against CIPLA at cross maidan on 13th may 2022. IPCA S.C were cruising in the first half as they destroyed half of the batting line up of CIPLA for 32, Then came Bipin Waghela who balanced the ship for CIPLA and played a brilliant innings of 77 from 43 balls which included 6 fours and 5 sixes guiding his team to a respectable total of 146 from 20 overs.Apart from waghela Daljit Thaker was the only batsman of CIPLA who managed to get to double figures, he scored 35 from 51 balls. Akshay Rasal of IPCA S.C bowled a magnificent spell of 4 wickets for 19 runs from 4 overs.
In reply IPCA S.C never were in the driving seat in the second half of the game as they lost wickets in quickly , only 2 batsman managed to get to double figures namely Rahul bhat (30 runs from 26 balls )and Yogesh Dhumal (26 runs from 17 balls ). Played between New Jersey Royals and Cricmax Panthers in the ongoing EYCL U13 League, it was a match between two promising teams where in Cricmax Panthers gained an upper hand courtesy a brilliant partnership between Aditya Shah and Bhargav Kulkarni. Both the players scored crucial half centuries stitching an unbeaten 104* run stand for the 3rd wicket.
10yr old Bhargav Kulkarni came onto the batting In the match against “New Jersey Royals Sports Academy U13” when the team needed 102 runs in 16 overs while chasing 185 in 30 overs. Bhargav finished unbeaten 53 in 43 balls with 6 fours and 3 big sixes. He was on 47 when 1 run to win, managed to hit a winning run with Six over mid-wicket, and completed his 50 as well. With the blazing performance, the team won the game comfortably with 4 overs spare.
Nikhil Kulkarni, his father used to play for his school back in India in “Pune District Cricket Association (PDCA) tournaments”. He also played for the Poona club for dome time before taking up an IT job. After moving to the USA, continued to play in various leagues (CLNJ, MCL, NJPL) in New Jersey. Currently playing as a proud member of team “Mumbai Gymkhana” as a bowling all-rounder.

Ankush Jaiswal’s all-round performance helped MIG register a 29-run win over CCI in Purushottam Shield. MIG won the toss and elected to bat first at Parsee Gymkhana in Mumbai during the match that was played on May 6 and 7.
Riding on Kevin Almeida’s 95, MIG posted 232 runs in 58.3 overs. While Almeida provided the perfect start to MIG, Ankush Jaiswal ended the innings on a high. Jaiswal mustered 48 runs off as many balls, including two boundaries and five sixes. On the other hand, CCI’s Sanket Yashwante was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 5-66 in 19 overs.
In reply, CCI fought hard as they scored 203 runs in 65.5 overs. Ajinkya Patil top scored with 64-ball 44 with Akash Parmar chipping in with 44-ball 31. On the other hand, MIG’s Jaiswal, who had a good outing with the bat, starred with the ball as he claimed six wickets. The off spinner wreaked havoc with the ball bagging 6-47 in 20.5 overs, including four maidens.
A match winning all-round performance from Ankush Jaiswal helped MIG script a win against CCI in Purushottam Shield.
This year was the first year of ( MAPL ) MAHARASHTRA ADVOCATES PREMIER LEAGUE PUNE 2022 , which concept came from initiative taken by 2 Advocates from Pune Adv Jayraj Gaud and Adv Pawan Kulkarni supported by the Pune Advocates Bar Association. It was decided the tournament would conducted between 8 Teams and message was circulated for interested 8 owners within Maharashtra Advocates Circle .

List of 16 good players were chosen based on what level cricket they have played and their scores in last few years . Each owner picked up one icon player from this list. Subsequently a link was circulated withing Advocates cricket fraternity to register themselves fr auction and about 250 Advocates registered themselves .
All these players were divided into 3* to 7* category again based on performance 7 being best. Auction was held which could be viewed on YouTube.. Proper transparent Auctions were held as per IPL norms . Each team owner & icon could participate in the auction. Each team was given 1 lac points within which he had to purchase his squad of 20 players . Once the squads were picked in auction the tournament was held in Pune on 2 beautiful grounds 1 Hajare sports club , Moshi 2. Silver Sports club where in boundaries at any side were about 60 to 65 yards.
The teams were divided in 2 ground of 4 each and each team played 3 league matches within its group ..For SEMIFINALS two tops teams of each group qualified from which our team Sindhudurg Sailors led by Adv Ninad Muzumdar and owned by Adv Sanjeev Kadam and Adv Uday Warunjikar was one of the teams to qualify.
The 4 teams qualifying for SF were SF1.

Finals was played between Sindhudurg Sailors and unbeaten team of Torna Tigers ..
Sindhudurg Sailors batted first on winning the toss and scored 180 runs with Santosh Kashid being highest scorer smashing of 70 and quick fire 7 ball 24 from Imrose Khan.
Torna tigers started briskly scoring 59 runs in 6 overs but were pulled back by economic spells from Adv Ashwath Nair and Adv Janardhan Dhalaphe, and finally managed to fall short by 9 runs on basis of a fighting half century by their captain Ajay Shitole. The ex. Factor of this tournament was players who had not even met earlier played together in one team and players from all over Maharashtra even interiors of Maharashtra participated.
In the match between BCA Warriors and Sainath Cricket Academy U-15 in the Mira Bhayandar Tournament held at Bravo Cricket Academy, Mumbai, the former won both the toss and the match as they scored 139 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs wherein Karan Prem Singh scored 57 runs in 29 balls and Aryan Singh made 47 runs in 35 balls! As the Sainath Cricket Academy came to bat, they could score only 105 runs at the loss of 9 wickets wherein the highest individual score was by Prem Mohite who made 18 runs! Naman Bhatte of BCA Warriors made a 4 wicket haul in only 4 overs giving just 18 runs!
In the match between Pro Talent and Shivseva of the Ashwa Sports U-12 Tournament held at Gokhale, Mumbai, wherein the former won the toss and elected to bat first and were disappointed by their call as their opposition restricted them to score only 105 runs at the loss of all wickets in 19 overs where Aryan Desai contributed 24 runs and Manveer Jain of Shivsena displayed his quality bowling skills as he made a 4 wicket haul in 2 overs giving only 9 runs and leading his team to gain victory over the Protalent! Also, Shivseva won the match in only 12 overs without the loss of a single wicket as the openers Satyanarayan Gughe and Saif Ali made 55 and 48 runs respectively!
Mumbai: Goregaon Centre and Vasai Centre drew their respective semi-final matches, but qualified to clash in the final of the 25th Ajit Naik Memorial Under-14 selection trials cricket tournament 2022, organised by WSC under the aegis of the Mumbai Cricket Association.
The semi-final match between Goregaon Centre and Mahul Centre finished in a draw as both teams completed only one innings. But Goregaon, who had declared their first innings at 359 for 6 wickets at the start of the second day of the two-day encounter, dismissed Mahul for 144, and won on the basis of gaining a 215-run lead.
The other semi-final, played between Vasai and Thane Centre also finished in a draw. Vasai, who resumed the second day at the overnight total of 255 for 7, added a further 63 runs and declared their first innings at 318 for 9 wickets. They then restricted Thane to 185 for 8 wickets and were declared winners on better run quotient.
Goregaon Centre’s all-rounder Tanish Shetty (72 runs and 2 for 22) and Vasai Centre’s all-rounder Aarav Malhotra (40 runs and 4 for 30) won the ‘Player of the Match’ awards.

Mumbai: A total of 16 teams from the city will be participating in the John Bright Cricket Club organised MCA Rathod Trophy Under-25 T20 knockout cricket tournament, which is scheduled to commence, her, in Mumbai from May 16, 2022.
The participating teams that will be vying for the top honours include New Hind SC, Bharat CC, Dr. D.Y. Patil SA, MIG Cricket Club, Sind SC, Payyade SC, Victory CC, Dadar Parsee Zorastrian, Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Shivaji Park Gymkhana, Sainath SC, Dadar Union, Islam Gymkhana, Mazagon CC, Parkophene CC and hosts John Bright CC.
The first round matches will be played at the SRT ground, Kandivali, Sydenham College ground, Oval Maidan, Islam Gymkhana ground and Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground.
All matches will be played as per MCA playing conditions and with white ball and coloured clothing.

Ninad Kadam has been blowing in red hot form in the recent past. Kadam, a top order batter, has smashed two centuries and one half-century in his last three outings.
Playing for Space Sports Club against Route Mobile in a Times Shield match on April 20, Kadam, a top order batter struck a delectable 56 not out against Greater Mumbai Police. His half-century steered Space Sports Club to a seven-wicket win over Greater Mumbai Police.
Picking up from where he had left, Kadam plundered 101 runs off 133 balls, including 11 boundaries against Route Mobile on May 1 and 2. He played an integral role in his team’s effort to post 425 runs in 75 overs. His match defining innings helped Space Sports Club beat Route Mobile by 53 runs.
Going from strength to strength, Kadam was the centre of attraction again as he hammered 161 off 200 balls. He achieved the feat against Teleperformance in a Times Shield match on May 10 and 11. His stellar knock, including 16 boundaries and a six powered his team to post 302 runs in 72.1 overs. His game changing innings guided Space Sports Club to a 101-run win over Teleperformance.
Riding on an envious form, Ninad Kadam with a blazing bat, has been a vital cog in Space Sports Club’s batting line-up.
On May 7, United Sports took on Speed Sports 17 during the Mira Bhayander Challenger League (MBCL Two). Speed Sports 17 won the toss and elected to bat at Bravo Cricket Academy Ground.
Batting first, Speed Sports 17 put together 7-115 in 20 overs. Opening batter Shreyas top scored with a 37-ball 33 and found an able ally in Anjit who contributed with a 17-ball 26. On the other hand, United Sports’ Arpan Das was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 2-5 in three overs, including one maiden.
In response, United Sports made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in 17.3 overs with nine wickets in hand. Opening batter Abdul Hadi led the run chase with a delectable 56 off 54 balls. Hadi hammered eight boundaries during his unbeaten innings and stitched a 85-run partnership with his skipper Fardeen Shaikh (34) before the latter was run out. On the other hand, Speed Sports 17’s bowling looked listless as they failed to pick up a single wicket.
