The advancing Purshottam Shield witnessed another tight game between National Cricket Club and Goregaon Sports Club where the latter prevailed. Goregaon SC won the toss and elected to bowl which was a wise decision. The National Cricket Club managed only 210 runs in 44 overs. Ameya Dandekar hit 67 runs with his teammate Vishal Dhagaonkar adding 41 runs to the scoreboard. Daksh Agarwal’s incredible spell 3/24 made life difficult for the batsmen.

In the ongoing Purshottam Shield, the Mumbai Police Gymkhana emerged victorious against their opponents Young Maharashtra. The Young Maharashtra Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl. The Mumbai Police Gymkhana scored a whopping 311 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 44 overs.Rohit Pol hit an incredible century up the order. Skipper Swapnil Kulaye also scored 77 runs as Sunil Patil contributed 48 runs. Salman Khan was the best bowler on the field that day as he claimed 5 wickets in an attempt to contain the batsman.

In the Purshottam Shield, Karnataka Sporting Association and Regal Cricket Club were pitted against each other. The team Karnataka Sporting Association claimed victory over its opponent by 74 runs. They won the toss, elected to bat, and scored a competitive total of 236 runs in 42.5 overs. Gautam Waghela was the top scorer with 81 runs to his name while his teammate Sahil Jadhav contributed 31 runs. Saeed Khot picked up 3 wickets. All-rounder Gaurav Jathar picked up 4 wickets. SPG fought back by claiming 6 wickets but the runs were too few to defend. MIG Cricket Club chased down the target in 30 overs. Batsmen Varun Lavande and Gaurav Jathar both contributed 32 each. With Gaurav Jathar’s efforts alongside the support of his teammates, MIG was able to win by 4 wickets.

Suryansh Shedge claimed 3 in the process, bowling Bhatnagar SC for 139.
The DY Patil batters didn’t waste any time and chased down the target under 20 overs. Despite losing 5 wickets, it was Srujan Athawle’s anchoring 70 which helped DY Patil seal the game with almost 26 overs in hand.

An all round performance by Victory CC helped them win against in-form Dadar Union by 64 runs. When asked to bat first by Dadar Union, Victory CC put up a total of 305 in just 40.1 overs. Yash Nahar scored 61 as his batting partners Jay Bista and Shashwad Jagtap also notched up crucial half centuries. Off spinner Siddhant Singh was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 3 wickets giving away only 40 runs. Saksham Jha picked up 3 wickets in the innings as well.
The run chase seemed difficult and the Victory CC bowlers made conditions tougher. Sangram Bhalekar was one of the two Dadar Union batsmen who passed the 50 run mark. After his effort with the ball, Singh was the other batsman who scored a half century. Despite their efforts, they were still short by 64 runs as they were bowled out for 241 in just 36.3 overs. Apollo CC triumphed in the final league game of the Purshottam Shield against Fort Vijay Cricket Club. Fort Vijay CC made an error after they elected to chase. The Apollo batsmen, deciding to take on the Fort Vijay Bowlers with nothing to lose, managed to score an emphatic total of 302 in just 36.3 overs as they were bowled out. Captain Abhinav Jagtap hammering a century to aid his team to the massive total. Bhushan Sawant was his compatriot who also scored a half century for the team. On the bowling side, Anuvrat bowled an economical spell by giving away only 46 runs and claiming 3 wickets. Monu Chauhan was the highest wicket with 4 wickets to his name however, he was expensive as he gave away 90 runs.
With an attempt to chase down the target, Fort Vijay batsmen stepped on the gas but weren’t successful. They were bowled out for 229 in just 32 overs. Despite numerous batsmen getting set, no batsmen was able to stand and chase down the target. Yash Singh claimed 3 wickets as Apollo CC won by 73 runs.

Left arm spinner Yogesh Dicholkar also contributed heavily by picking up 4 wickets. With an impressive bowling effort, Parsee Gymkhana were able to bowl them out in just 20 overs.

The runchase was as easy as it could get for the mighty team of Parsee Gymkhana. Aakarshit Gomel and Nikhil Patil Jr hammered half centuries and stayed unbeaten to chase down the target in under 13 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

Parkophene were not pulling any punches this game as they chased the simple target of 86 in under 6 overs. The top 3 batsmen hammered the bowlers as if it was their last round in the nets, winning the game by 7 wickets in hand.
