DDCA U-16 Cricket Touranamt

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has declared the fixtures for the U-16 trial matches to be conducted on 3 different venues on 19,20,21,23 & 24th November 2015.

Venues: County Cricket Academy Ground (Hiranki), New Police Lines Ground, Mohan Meakins Ground

Reporting time: 8 AM sharp; DDCA will provide mineral water and glucose only

Thriller continues in AT20 tournament on 2nd day and this time it was in Group-B!!!! V Gothal’s 4 wkts in just 9 balls helped Mott Macdonald to get an enormous victory of 118 runs against Collage Designs on AT20.

Mott Macdonald decided to put a big total after winning the toss and they were able to score 181 runs in 20 overs with the aid of their batsman and they were also equally supported by the bowlers of Collage Designs who conceded 42 extras (W 34, B 4, LB 4). While chasing at 9.05 RPO; Collage Designs only 2 batsman reach the double figure score. After the fall of Opener P Lad at 32 (5.2 overs), Collage batting collapsed and they lost 9 wkts in just 21 runs. Out of 10, 4 wkts were Run Out and 4 were taken by V Gothal in 4 consecutive balls i.e. 1 wkt. on last ball of his 1st over and then the remaining 3 in 3 balls of his 2nd over claiming 1st Hattirck of the ongoing AT20.

Following were the stars on the first day of the second round matches of the MCA Payyade U-16 selection trophy:

The Run Machine, Yashasvi scored a quick 76 for his side ‘Sachin Tendulkar XI’ but didn’t get much support from other batsmen and their team was all out for 206 runs. Chief wicket takers were Vighnesh Solanki who took 4 wickets and Divyansh Saxena who took 3 wickets. Opening the innings for his side, Rohit Sharma XI, Divyansh also scored an unbeaten 52.

The other match in the tournament was all dominated by batsmen. Suvedh Parkar started it all. After a wonderful performance with the ball previous day in a different match (where he took 8 wickets for 0 runs bundling St. Xaviers for 14 runs), Suvedh scored fluent 84 before retiring. He was excellently complemented by Satyalaksh Jain (122), Nilkash Naryakar (114*) and Omkar Pashtye (73*). Their side, Sunil Gavaskar XI, at end of days play scored a huge 413 for 3.

 

 

Who would think to see Opening game of T20 Tournament to go into the Super Over and that to Tie in Super Over? May be in thoughts? But Sorry, it’s a Reality!!!! This reality has happened in Opening game of hot popular Architect T20 tournament Group-A match.

The match was played between last year Champions EDIFICE CONSULTANTS PVT. LTD. (ECC) and AVENGERS at Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul. After winning the toss; ECC elected to bowl. Avengers started slowly maintaining 6 runs per over before falling their first wicket at 54 in 9.1 overs and set a total of 159/7 for ECC. Unlike Avengers, ECC opener Mahesh Hirpara gave a cracking start for ECC before getting out at 29 in 2.1 overs. This solid start was taken ahead by the other opener S Vengilat and A Jiwani. Both together they put a partnership of 66 in 61 balls. Towards the end, N Thomas took a challenge of chasing the score and succeeds to equal the score on last ball of the innings. The match was tied.

However to decide the winner it was decided to play a Super Over. Batting 1st in Super Over; ECC put a total of 16 runs hitting 2 sixes. In return, Avengers also put 16 runs but they hit only 1 six. Based on Maximum Sixes the Winner was decided and it was ECC.

All India SBI Tournament

Superb bowling by leg spinner Vijay Bahadur Mishra 5/08 and Rahul Yadav 2/13 and fine knock by Manish Giri 41 runs unbeaten in just 13 balls  and Ajay Verma 23 not out helped Delhi defeat Bhuvneshwar by 8 wickets in the All India State Bank Inter Circle cricket tournament.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Ex. Test player Chetan Chauhan and  Sh. B.K.Das- GM SBI (Delhi Circle) and ex test player Chetan Chauhan and SH. SK Bandlish President SBI Staff Fedration. On the occasion organising secretary Sunil Chugh also present in the function. Vijay Bahadur Mishra was named man of the match.

Match : Ltosa vs HDFC Ergo

A low scoring match was played on mb union pitch between Hdfc ergo general insurance company vs Ltosa.

HDFC Ergo bowled first. The match was evenly poised till the first five overs when captain Dhanesh of Ergo came to bowl, taking 5 wickets and restricting Ltosa on a meager total of 111 runs.

It looked like a easy match till the ltosa bowlers begin bowling a disciplined line and length restricting Hdfc ergo for 75 runs all out. Bomard for Ltosa took 5 wickets for 15.

Triangular Series

Fine double century by Hritik Shokeen 236 not out goes in vain in the Triangular Series match as Mukesh Diwan Academy lost by 2 wickets against West Delhi dwarka. For winners Nakul Kumar 3/51 and 70 runs and Kaushal Kumar 50 were the main performers.
