As per the official website of M.C.A , umpires preparatory course will be run from 7 th January 2016 to 26 February 2016, Monday to Friday for 2 hours, from 6.30 PM – 8.30 PM at Wankhede stadium. If interested please contact the MCA office from 4 pm – 7 pm.

Registration fees are Rs. 500/- + 14.5% service tax.

Dipesh Hemdev scored a patient 43 and also took 4 scalps as his school VMP Mulund easily defeated Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel Kandivali school by 6 wickets.

Both Purabias, Rohit and Harsh did a marvellous job with both at and ball. Rohit Purabiya took 4 wickets and scored 30 runs while Harsh Purabiya took 5 wkts and scored 25 runs. Interestingly Rohit is a left hand bat and right hand bowl and harsh purabiya exactly opposite batting right handed while bowls left hand.

Their combined efforts helped SKI Jain school defeat Savitri Laxmibai School in the second round of the Harris shield tournament.

St. Anne’s Highschool, Malad batted first scoring 187 runs against St. Xavier’s school, Andheri. Shubham Mohite top scored with 46 runs. Pranav bowled his heart out picking up 6 wickets for 51 runs in 15 overs. 187 was a big ask against good bowling line up of St. Annes.

Manav Popat bowled a great spell plucking 7 wickets of St. Xavier’s and folding their innings below 100 giving a big 95 run victory to his school, St. Annes.

To find Cricket talent in Girls, Mumbai Cricket Association is organizing 8th Inter School Cricket Tournament during January / February 2016. The tournament will be played in 20 overs game format.

The tournament was introduced 7 years back starting 1st year with tennis ball. In the 2nd year, the tournament was played combine with Tennis and Leather Ball and since then leather ball is introduced in tournament. The competition is basically started to search and train the talented players free of cost. The MCA women team selectors are taking the hard efforts every year and witness each match of the tournament to find the talent.

8th MCA Inter School Cricket Tournament for Girls is open to all schools in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane Jurisdiction and schools can make entry for more than one team without any entry fees. Interested team’s, are requested to submit their entries on school letter head at the office of the Mumbai Cricket Association during working hours or email on mcacrik@vsnl.com on or before 8th January 2016. All matches of the tournament are expected to be played at Shivaji Park – Dadar.

After historic Pink Ball Day-Night Test Match between Australia and New Zealand, Cricket Club of Dombivli (CCD) is all set to create a History in Mumbai Cricket by playing 1st Pink Ball Night Tournament.

The Pink Ball CCD – Nakhye Bhagat Trophy will be played on 4th January’2016 at Air India Ground – Santacruz, Mumbai and is sponsored by CCD members Yogesh Nakhye & Dilip Bhagat.

The tournament will be played between CCD – Defenders, CCD – Samrat, CCD – Bharari teams. This will be the 1st ever Night Tournament in Mumbai Cricket, which will be played with Pink Ball.

Cricketgraph anticipate a lot of excitation within CCD members to play and experience the Pink Ball under the lights!

Riding on a scintillating knock of 67 in just 29 deliveries by Sanjeev Deshmukh, EHV (O&N) circle Panvel beat SLDC Kalwa by 30 runs in the first semifinal of the MAHATRANSCO Inter Circle Tournament.

Batting first EHV Panvel scored 149 for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted 15 overs. Sanjeev was the rock star. B.L. Munde picked up 2 wickets.

Chasing 10 runs an over was always a challenging task that too in a semifinal but SLDC Kalwa showed lot of courage as Mukesh Kuswah scored 44 in 30 balls but some excellent bowling by Nitin Badrike who took 3 wickets for just 7 runs saw Kalwa fell short of the target by 30 runs.

Sanjeev was declared MoM.

Second semifinal will be played at 8:45 AM on Wednesday 30 th December while finale will be played at 1:30 PM on the same day.

Nekh, the lefti spinner was at his bowling best once again, picking up 4 crucial wickets of Lilavati Poddar, Santa Cruz in the second round of the Harris shield trophy. He got brilliant support from right arm spin bowler, Kunal Naik, who too captured 4 wickets.

This spin duo helped Fatima defend modest total of 143 runs. Lilavati were bowled out for 123 runs thus giving a 19 run victory to Fatima High school. Nekh was declared Man of the Match.

The Harris Shield match between Fazlani International school and Anjuman Islam Urdu CST saw a bowling star emerge from Anjuman Islam school.

Aman’s bowling spell read following figures : 4.5 overs, 3 maidens, 6 runs and 9 wickets. Yes that s right, he took whopping 9 wickets of the opposition. He could have got all 10 wickets but unfortunately one of them was RUN OUT. Aman’s bowling was so deadly that 6 of the Fazlani batsman were out for duck. Fazlani were bowled out for minuscule 23 runs in 14 overs and Anjuman reached target without any damage.

Aman’s performance would be remembered for days to come. Way to go Aman!

The venue was RBI pitch Azad maidan for the Harris shield game between Digambar Patkar Vidyalay School dadar and Yashodham school Goregaon.

Yoshodham won the toss and elected to bat and what a batting performance Ryan Thomas gave. He took just 126 balls to finish on 119 unbeaten, hitting ball to all parts of the ground. Yashodham compiled 216 for 6 in allotted 45 overs.

Unfortunately it wasn’t Ryan’s day as his team got beaten by team efforts of Digambar Patkar school. Patkar schools innings started on top gear and they achieved their target in 35th over. Atharv Dakway scored 47 while Harsh Raut hit 60 runs enabling Patkar Vidyalaya win by 7 wickets.
