So what is Sandeep Dahad’s Mind-Body Cricket Talk ?

Sandeep Dahad would be presenting, mind  & body coordination process about one cricket skill / aspect each week as perceived by him and would also welcome any questions or queries about it to be answered.

Scientifically speaking, the mind body coordination involves the integration of proprioceptive information detailing in the position and the movement of musculoskeletal system with the neural process in the brain and spinal cord which controls, plans and relay motor commands. Mind does have influence over the flow pattern of cerebral excitation-contraction.

In Simple words this mind & body coordination process includes, mind’s acquired knowledge about skills & implementation of skills, temperament, fitness that mind intends to apply via various body parts of a player.

It is the decisive factor in forwarding a player briskly towards the excellence & consistency in his game. The process what Sandeep has understood according to his perception, he is articulating it in his own words for millions and billions of cricket players and cricket loving people.

Any Cricket skill, temperamental aspect of the game that mind can totally conceive / absorb and intends  to bring that in action then the body starts responding to the exact degree mind has conceived  it and that is how when a player practices a cricket skill, temperamental or fitness aspect over and over and over he gets greater mind – body coordination in its execution and thus  performs well to win games.

The deeper is the connect of mind & body greater is the execution and that can help a player to quickly climb the ladder of growth, success and start performing with never before ability and command over his own game.

There was some element of uncertainty throughout this week within the mumbai cricket community and the inevitable finally happened. Mumbai Cricket Association, officially announced the conclusion of Kanga Cricket League.

As many as nine rounds of Kanga cricke league had been washed out due to incessant rains in different parts of mumbai. As per the rules, team relegation or promotion cant be executed unless five matches are played. This also meant that the rest of matches to be played in the tournament would have been rendered pointless without any impact on team rankings.

Another reason cited by the Mumbai Cricket Association was that of shortage of grounds due to Metro work & Ramleela at Azaad maidan coupled with Durga Puja at Shivaji Park Grounds. The last round scheduled to be played on 2nd and 9th October 2016 has been cancelled and the tournament officially concluded.

Former first class and Ranji cricket player from Madhya Pradesh and currently one of the reputed names in the world of Mumbai cricket, Sanjay Dogra has not only carved a solid niche as a player during his days(left arm spinner and middle order bat) but also as someone who has played a pivotal role in developing the new brand of cricket. DCA(cricket academy) in Kandivali, Mumbai is the brainchild of Sanjay Dogra. The academy was started over a decade back and has produced many wonderful players, who have not only played for different states including Mumbai at junior and senior(Ranji) level.

Sanjay Dogra runs this academy and The senior players of the academy shoulder the responsibility of training the young guns under the guidance of Sanjay Dogra. DCA is a temple to the devotees of cricket. DCA provides highest quality of proffesional coaching to the players which is free of cost to the deserving players. You need to have some substance and caliber to catch the watchful eyes of this mighty left arm spinner. Only the ones who prove their worth are finally selected to seek training under the able aegis of  Sanjay Dogra.

Branded as ‘murder bowler’ by the legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, Mr.Dogra has fond memories of playing alongside the great legend Sunil Gavaskar and many other international cricketers and was known as one of the deadliest left arm spinners in the country during his playing days. Though he could not pursue cricket as a career,Sanjay Dogra has also made a mark in advertising industry. He was associated with agencies like Lintas,Saatchi and Saatchi,Everest,The Times of India,Network etc at a senior level and got to manage various big brands like P and G,Yamaha,Ministry of Tourism,Star India and many more

DCA is like a boon to cricket. Highest and toughest standard of training including fitness to the young and budding players has been a unique proposition of the academy. ‘Fitness first’ is the way to go at DCA. The players are trained rigorously initially for a first two or three months and only when the boys are shaped to be moulded, they are allowed to practice in the nets.

The academy has wonderful facilities, which includes very good practice wickets and also flood lights when required. The academy has earned a lot of name in Mumbai. Let’s hope that the academy produces great players in future and makes Mumbai proud.
