Semi-finals are always nail biting and such was the case with Tata Motors and Sterling Wilson at Vengsarkar Academy in Mahul. Both the teams gave a tough competition to each other after Sterling Wilson lost the toss & were made to field first.
Tata Motors who have a strong batting line up however did not have the best of the days in the office as they were not able to post a big total in 20 overs. Tata Motors were all out for just 110 runs in 19.4 overs which was lesser than what they had expected. Swetal & P Mayank were the only two batsmen who looked good enough to face the bowlers. Mayank was smashing proper cricketing shots but could not convert his 20 into something substantial. R Thakur was the pick of the bowlers taking 6/31 in 4.4 overs.
However, Skipper Surjeet Roy did not give up and he was confident of his bowlers to defend the total. Skipper Surjeet Roy bowled a mesmerizing spell with his right arm off-spin taking 6/27 in 4 overs. Surjeet bowled an amazing spell and got his 1st two wickets in his first 4 balls itself. Not only did Surjeet kept on breaking partnerships, he was also consistently troubling the batsman and taking wickets in tandem. Sterling Wilson were eventually all out for 89 runs and Tata Motors won the match by 22 runs and Skipper ‘Surjit Roy’ being adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his match winning spell.
Cricketgraph wishes SURJEET all the luck for his future endeavors & also we wish he keeps confusing the batsman in the same manner for a long long time.
It was a low scoring but an entertaining match at Kalyan between Rais High School Bhiwandi vs Boys Cricket Club, Dombivali. Rais high school elected to bat first and capitalize on the pitch conditions to make a big score to keep BCC on their toes.
However, things weren’t as hunky dory as they may have planned because Rais High School were all out for just 80 runs in 17.1 overs. Hardly any batsman fired apart from Abdul Rahman(21 off 20) who was the only one who crossed 20 runs followed by Salman who remained unbeaten at 19* down the order. Right arm Fast bowler Parth Wad was the leading wicket taker with bowling figures of 4/20 in 7 overs. Parth showed a lot of intent and skills with the ball at such a small age and gave important breakthroughs. Parth also clean bowled the batsman twice in his 4 wicket haul.
Chasing 81 runs, Boys Cricket Club finished the match in just 13.3 overs with 6.3 overs and 7 wkts to spare. Opener Jagjeevan Bist scored a 16 ball 19 while no.5 Vedant Chaudhary remained unbeaten on 23* off just 21 balls. BCC won the match comfortably and Right Arm Fast Bowler Parth Wad was adjudged ‘Man of the match’ for his great bowling.
Cricketgraph wishes Parth keeps on improving his game and keeps troubling the batsman like he did in this match as he has a long journey ahead.

It was an exciting pre-quarter finals between two competitive teams namely Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation & Marwari Cricket Club at LIC Cross Maidan, Mumbai. Winning the toss first, Marwari Cricket club elected to field first with an aim of bundling them out for a low total.

However, things did not go the way they may have wished as Dilip Vengsarkar’s openers Rohan Bane (72 off 32) and Soham Mali(31 off 30) almost took the game away in the first 10 overs itself by stitching a great opening partnership. Ronak Shinde and Jashal Wadiyal chipped in with 38 and 24 but it was their frontline opener Rohan who was the leading scorer for his side. Rohan Bane who is known to clear the ropes with ease once again showed his batting prowess as this time he brought his 72 at a strike rate of almost above 225. Rohan Bane smashed 8 fours and 2 sixes in his 32 ball stay at the crease and the run rate was always above 9.5 runs because of the innings he left behind for his team. Dilip Vengsarkar’s team reached a very healthy total of 202/8 in 20 overs. From MCC, Raza Imam & Shadab Khan were the pick of the bowlers taking 3/24 & 3/37 respectively.
Chasing 203 at 10 runs per over in the 2nd innings is always tough & same was the case with MCC as they were all out for just 61 runs in 12.3 overs. Satish Kadam bowled a match winning spell of 4/8 in 3 overs followed by 2 wickets each by Jagdish Jadhav, Jashal Wadiyal & Mayur Vichare.
Dilip Vengsarkar’s XI won the match by 141 runs and Rohan Bane was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his great performance. Cricketgraph wishes Rohan continues his good form and helps his team win the tournament.

TCC Advanced to SEMI-FINAL of FPL Season 8 & Man of Match Upendra Yadav
FPL has witnessed thrilling Quarter final game today on 12th Feb’16 at Yashwant Nagar – Virar. Superlative & completely dominating performance by TEAM TCC on a very important day of knockout stage of the tournament. TCC won the toss and elected to bat first looking at the pitch conditions and strength of the squad. Upendra and Ganesh opened the innings & started firing from the world ‘GO’ and posted a mammoth partnership of 92 in the first 7 overs. Ganesh Patil smashed a ferocious 54 runs in just 23 balls with a strike rate of 234 which lifted the team’s rate from the very 1st over.
Tejas and Upendra took over from there & created a history by sending ball outside the park with sky rocking 6’s 14 times & 17 times stunning boundaries (4s) concluded their innings with a highest score of the tournament 260/1 & recorded highest total by any team of last 8 years in FPL. Most important highlight of this tournament was these two batsmen (Upendra & Tejas) who have remained not out since 3 matches as they always come and finish the game on a winning note.

TASC exhibited confident start with healthy strike rate but pressure to maintain the average of 13 runs per over was too tall which lead to quick loss of 3 wickets during power play itself and lost half of their team after 7 overs TASC 47/5 but Rohan Pawar had very different idea in mind as he did not gave up till end & resulted in another handsome well-crafted century in 51 balls with 3 sixes. Wonderful batting performance under pressure took the game to the last ball of the match brought smiles to the team of TASC but eventually fell short of target by 95 runs.
TASC displayed competitive spirit on a crucial day but TCC was too upright to catch today. FPL again witnessed extremely harmonious atmosphere during complete 40 overs. It was worth witnessing the whole highly entertaining quarter-final contest and some brilliant individual performances from both the teams.
Cricket graph wishes luck to all the teams and wishes for more great matches like this to come in the next upcoming encounters of the tournament.

It was a very crucial encounter between two exciting teams namely Diamond Star Cricket Club vs Rizvi Sports Club. Diamond star won the toss and elected to bat first after winning the toss and put the strong batting line up of Rizvi under pressure by posting a big target.
It was a good batting overall by the Diamond Star team as they scored 162 in 30 overs with a loss of only 4wickets. Asif Khan scored a crucial 42 followed by Tushar Singh and Prem Lengre scoring 32 & 30 respectively. All this batsman started off nicely but could not convert their scores into something big which could have taken their team’s total to at least 200 in 30 overs. Rizvi bowlers were not able to take many wickets but they did a good job overall on containing the batsman thus keeping the run rate always below 6.
Chasing 163, the strong batting line up of Rizvi completed the chase and won the match by 6 wickets and 4.5 overs to spare. Talented Owais Khan scored a gutsy 28 which included one six and so did Mohit Tanwar who also scored 26. However, Tejas Chalke was the pick of their batsman remaining unbeaten till the end on 32* & clinching a semi-final victory for his side.
Rizvi won the match comfortably and qualify for the further rounds of the tournament. Cricketgraph wishes them to go on & win the tournament and keep performing nicely.
It was a nail biting pre quarter finals of the Dreamz T20 Tournament between Vodafone vs FSS at MB Union, Cross Maidan in Mumbai. F.S.S won the toss and elected to field first since they have a good bowling line up to keep the opposition under pressure.
Vodafone were off to a shaky start with their openers losing their wickets quickly but it was their no.3 batsman Rajesh who scored a solid 69 to resurrect the team’s position. Rajesh was hitting the ball nicely but he hardly got any support from the other side as none of their batsman could fire apart from Abhishek who scored a 20.It was also some great bowling from FSS and more importantly their fast bowler Ravi who took 3 wickets and their right arm leg spinner Rakesh Rao taking a fifer (5/24 in 2.5 overs) Rakesh Rao gave important breakthroughs and also took a important wicket of the set batsman Rajesh who scored 69. In fact his wicket was his favorite amongst all the five wickets he took. Mayuresh also took a great catch over midwicket in Rakesh’s bowling which was a good moment of the day.

Chasing 132, FSS chased the target comfortably with 2 overs and 3 wickets to spare. Opener Suryankant Kumar scored a quickfire 50 off just 38 balls & Rakesh Rao also chipped in with a handy cameo of 21 off just 14 balls. At one point FSS were 80 for no loss but they lost some wickets in between which did give them some jitters. However, they won the match with 2 overs to spare and Rakesh Rao was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his fantastic bowling and a cameo with the bat too.
It was a great Pre-quarter final match where both the teams gave their best and Cricketgraph wishes FSS to continue playing good cricket and go on to win the tournament.

Bharti Airtel were not off to the most memorable starts as their opener Vishal kambli was clean bowled in the very 1st ball of the innings. However, Jitesh Purabia (23 off 23 balls) and Prakash Aswani resurrected the innings together with an important partnership. Right handed Aswani was the leading scorer in the match scoring a match winning 78 off just 58 balls. Prakash smashed 4 fours and 3 big sixes and also did equally good running between the wickets. R Katoch & M More also gave important cameos at the middle order scoring 34 and 28*(14 balls) respectively

Aswani who shined with the bat also became the star bowler bowling a fabulous spell of 4/21 in 4 overs with his left arm spin. M More was also wonderful with the ball taking 3/7 in his 1.3 overs.

Cricketgraph congrats Bharti Airtel for their win in the finals and wishes them to continue playing good cricket in the future.

Batting first, Vijaychandra Club were off to a great start where Rohan Bhosale and Aman Suraiya stitched a great partnership. Rohan & Aman gave a good start where both the batsman scored 37(25) & 38(29) respectively. Both the openers were outright aggressive and counter attacked the bowlers at will. However, the rest of the batsman could not capitalize the good start given by the openers. Vijaychandra eventually reached 143/9 in 20 overs whereas they could have easily reached 170/180 if the other batsman had fired. Gaurav also got good support from Hitesh who scored a quick 39 which included a massive six over midwicket off a medium pacer.

Bravish Shetty scored a splendid 186 off just 139 balls and almost stayed till the end (till the 39th over). It was an exciting 1st match between two competitive teams namely Sulonia cricket academy vs Sporting Union of the Kalyan Premier League. Mumbai sporting Union (Thane) won the toss and elected to bowl first with an aim of reducing them to a low score.
However, things took a complete u-turn when Sulonia cricket academy displayed a great batting performance. Sulonia Cricket Academy Team managed to reach a big total of 315 in 31 overs. A run rate if above 10 runs throughout the innings is not an easy task but Sulonia team did a good job with the bat especially their right handed opener Jay Dhatrak who scored a sensational 144 at the top of the order. Jay came and completely dismantled the entire bowling line up of Mumbai Sporting Union as he was looking comfortable hitting against both the pacers as well as spinners. Jay cleared the ropes with ease and some of his boundaries demanded attention as they were nothing short of class. Apart from Jay, A
yush Iyer and Aarush Patankar gave important cameos and contributed overall to the team’s total scoring 62 & 36 respectively.
In reply, Sulonia cricket academy troubled the opposition with their bowling too as they were all out for just 36 runs in 15.4 overs. Aarush Patankar who had contributed with the bat also became the star bowler of Sulonia as he picked up a 5 wkt haul along with hardly giving any runs to the opposition.
It was a bad day in the office for a good team like Mumbai Sporting Union and a great day for Sulonia cricket academy where everything was going in their favor. It was the 1st match and many more matches are about to come & Cricketgraph wishes both the teams to excel and enjoy the tournament.
