The M.B Union Ground in Mumbai witnessed an exciting competition between two competitive teams namely Loreal & AIDEM. Loreal. on a neutral track like MB Union won the toss & elected to bat first in order to post a big total on the board & put AIDEM/ zirca under pressure.
Batting first, Loreal managed to score 141/9 in 20 overs which is not the biggest of scores to defend in the T20 format. Opener Rishi scored a solid 86 off just 69balls to stabilize the innings but the rest of the batsman just crumbled below him. It was a one man show by their opener as not a single batsman apart from Rishi managed to score more than 10 runs on the board. All-rounder Sharat Nayak (right-arm fast) was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4/29 in 4 overs. Sharad was spot on & bowled tight in the right areas taking the wickets of important batsman. Kushal (2/20) & Vishal (1/17) also supported Sharat nicely to make it a collective team effort.
Chasing 143, it did not prove to be the toughest of tasks though they did felt some jitters as they lost 5wkts before they completed the chase. The top 3 batsman did not give the best of the starts but the middle order & lower order resurrected the innings to some extent. Sharat Nayak & Sachin stitched an important partnership which acted as a crucial point in their innings. While Sharad scored a quick 23 ball 35, Sachin supported Sharat well with a 25ball 19. Rohan also chipped in with an unbeaten 7ball 20*(2sixes) to steer his team towards the victory line. The bowlers were economical with Rupesh, Yash & Malay taking a wicket each but it required a more than economical bowling to win the match.

Mahindra Rise & HAV Solutions faced each other for a crucial encounter at the Western Railways Ground in Mumbai. On a good batting track, HAV solutions won the toss & elected to bat first to put the opposition under pressure by posting a healthy total on the board.
HAV solutions could not make the most of the batting conditions as they managed to score only 141/8 in 20 overs. The top order could not trouble the opposition as none of them managed to score a big innings. However, Rathish Nair & Ajit Saun at the middle order acted as saviors stitching a good partnership. While Nair scored 38 off 26 (4fours), Ajit also made a handy contribution as he scored 28 off just 21 balls (3fours, 1six) to push their team total to a respectable 141. Jitendra Mandavkar was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/29 followed by a wkt each for Madhav, Niketan & Mukesh.
Chasing 142 seemed to be a mere cakewalk for the Mahindra boys as they won the match by 7wkts & 1 over to spare. The top 3 batsman gave a good start chipping in with quick 30’s while Jayesh Chandankar finished off the man chase with 31ball 40*. Jayesh smashed 5 fours & a six and looked comfortable against the bowlers as he played the role of a finisher to perfection.

On a good pitch for batting, Deutsche bank elected to bat first at Elf Vengsarkar Academy, Oval in Mumbai. Considering they had only 2-3 regular players in the side, it was a nice decision to bat first as there were many new faces who had not got a chance to play earlier & it turned out to be the perfect setup for them to play.
Deutsche Bank’s decision to bat first was spot on as they went on to make a mammoth 195/4 in 20 overs. Opener A Sharma scored a quick 26ball 38 while it was their no.3 batsman Anil Julka who turned the tides for his team. As Anil Shared with Cricketgraph ‘even he had not got many chances to bat at the top of the order but they experimented in this match & it turned out to be great’ Coming in at no.3 right handed Anil smashed a 38ball 89 which set the tone for their innings. Julka set the ground ablaze with his entertaining knock as he smashed 9fours & 6 sixes in his 38 ball stay at the crease where he played at a strike rate of above 230. Vinit Angne also scored a solid 45* off 39balls while also supporting Jhulka & stitching a good partnership. None of the bowlers managed to inflict trouble on the opposition while N Dhawale was the only bowler with respectable bowling figures of 1/28 in 4 overs.
Chasing 195, Accenture were off to a great start with their top 3 playing really good cricket. Opener A Salgaonkar smashed a 39ball 50 followed by 39 by his opening partner Prakash & a blazing 43 off 27 by D Venkatesh. But despite such a good start by the top order the batsmen below them could not capitalize as they crumbled one by one to reach only 167/9 in 20 overs. Dorkar, Angne & P Sethi chipped in with 2wkts each while Anil also contributed with the ball taking 2/26 in 4 overs with his spin & turned out to be the most economical of the lot.

It was a match which included some brilliant individual contributions & a good team work on the Islam Gymkhana Ground. On a neutral track which supported some turn, Worli Sports Club elected to field first & restrict the Parsee Gymkhana boys to a low total & put them under pressure.
However, their decision to bowl first wasn’t the most profitable decisions as Parsee Gymkhana made a healthy 187/7 on the board which is anyday a good score to defend. Right-handed Opening batsman Aakarshit Gomel made his presence felt in the end stages of the tournament as he smacked a 46 ball 71 to provide a solid base to their innings. A strong start by Aakasrshit kept the run rate healthy as he smashed 4fours & 4sixes in his 46ball stay at the crease. His partnership with Arjun Shetty who scored a 39 also played a turning point in the game which helped them reach a more than respectable score. Abhimanyu Vaishisth was the pick of the bowlers taking 4wkts but he lacked support from the other end or things could have been a little different.
Chasing 188 at more than 8 runs per overs is always a pressure situation & not the easiest of tasks. The pressure did seem to rub on the Worli batters as they were all-out for 126/10 in 18.3 overs. As Aakarshit shared with Cricketgraph ‘the spinners really did a good job & bowled well according to the plans’ which helped them win the match. Nikhil Jadhav scored a fighting 61 off 41balls but that wasn’t enough as he hardly got any support from the other sude. Harshad tevankar was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3wkts while Aakarshit also chipped in with 2wkts with his left-arm spin.
Parsee Gymkhana won the match by 60 runs & seal their semis berth while Aakarshit Gomel’s perfomance was the highlight of the match with his all-round contribution. Looking at the current form of Aakarshit & the whole team, they certainly look favorites to win the tournament.
While Akhil continued his good form from the last match where he scored a blistering hundred, it was also their bowlers who joined the party to help their team defeat Sind Sports Club in the Quarter-finals of the Salar Jung Tournament at the Islam Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai. Payyade Sports club who have a good bowling line up elected to bowl first after winning the toss in order to restrict SSC to a low total.
Their decision to bowl did reap them rewards as Sind Sports Club were 97/10 all-out in 16 overs. Bhavik Patel(20*) at the lower middle order was the only batsman who was able to reach the 20 run mark against the tight bowling of the Payyade sports club. Left-arm fast bowler Roystan Dias bowled with vengeance as he was bowling in perfectly right areas at a good pace which helped him scalp 3/20 in his 4 overs. Left-arm spinner Vishal dabholkar was the most effective and economical of the lot as he came up with envious bowling figures of 3/13 in his 4 overs.
Chasing 98 was a mere formality & especially if you have a in-form batsman who is just fresh from a scintilating hundred in his last match as opener Akhil Herwadkar scored a 54* off just 25balls(9fours,2sixes) to finish the game in supreme style. He was also supported well by his opening partner Eknath Kerkar who smashed a equally good looking 41* off mere 21balls (3fours,3sixes) to steer their team to a commendable win.

Playing for SKN Sports Club, this could have been one of the fastest hundreds ever had he faced a few more balls. Pranav smashed 7 sixes in his 25 ball 81 and was a complete entertainment against Raheja Sports Club of the DGRS Tournament where he eventually helped his team win the match.
Joint at no.5
Format- T20
It was the crucial semi-final match of the Masters Cup & chasing 167 in 20 overs is always tough but Akash Patil had different plans in mind as he scored a thunderous 75 off 29balls to help his team Rika Global qualify for the finals.

Aditya who plays in Ranji too showed his mettle against the powerful opposition like Tata Capital. It was the finals of the Tata Inter-company tournament where Aditya simply broke records as he not only scored 80 off 30balls but also took 7wkts in the same again sailing his team towards the victory line. Had he faced a few more balls, he could have scored one of the fastest hundreds in Mumbai.

We all know this talented boy by now. Suryansh once again proved his mettle with a unbeaten 94* in a high intensity finals of the Future Star Tournament against Rizvi High School where he eventually led his team to a tournament win.

Chasing a target of 243 in 40 overs, it was Bhavik coming in at no.4 who completely changed the game & scored one of the fastest centuries to help his team win against the strong M&M side in the Times Cricket Shield Tournament.

It was the 2nd knock-out match against Apollo Cricket Club at MIG Cricket Ground in Bandra where Abhishek came up with a scintillating knock of 151 in a high pressure match.The southpaw’s 151 helped MIG team win the match & qualify for the semis in the Young Comrade Shield Tournament.
The Raymond Cricket Ground witnessed a great bowling perfomance from the young Lokpuram Boys & especially Naman and Soham showed a lot of promise with the ball. On a damp wicket like Raymonds, the decision of batting first did make much of a difference to the Lokpuram school as they knew if they bowl well they can restrict BSMS to a low total.
BSMS batting first managed to put only 82 runs on the board with the loss of 10wkts in 20 overs. Left-arm spinner Soham Pitkar was simply phenomenal with the ball scalping 4/6 in his 2 overs. Right-arm fast bowler Naman Hiren also entertained the spectators with a magical hat-trick to trouble the opposition & further dent their innings as he came up with economical bowling figures of 3/11 in his 5 overs followed by 2/21 by Jainam Kataria.
Chasing 83 was a mere formality though BSMS gave a tough fight as they did not allow them to win the match before taking their 6wkts where Shubham scalped 3 while Anish chipped in with 2wkts. Eventually BSMS chased down the score in 14.1 overs & won the match by 4wkts.
It was a commendable win for Lokpuram school & Naman Hiren was declared ‘man of the match’ for his economical bowling & also taking a hat-trick while Soham’s perfomance was also appreciation worthy. It was a match full of great individual performances as Datamatics & CCD clashed each other for a crucial encounter at the Asahi India Glass Ltd ground in Taloja. On a decent track, Datamatics elected to bat first after winning the toss & put the opposition under tenterhooks.
Batting first, their opener as well as their frontline batsman Rohidas Koyande scored a destructive 70 off merely 40 balls which laid the foundation for their innings. Opening the innings, it was the best start his team could ask for as he smashed 4fours & 6big sixes to lighten the ground with his blazing performance. His opening partner Pratik Chaudhary was the 2nd highest scorer with a 22ball 27 followed by a crucial 22 by Pratik Mahanwar at no.10 which helped them reach a big total of 194/7 in 20 overs. Vasudev Mhatre was the pick of the bowlers from CCD taking 3/31 in 4 overs followed by a wkt each for the rest of the bowlers.
First of all chasing 150+ itself is a task & when it is against a strong team like Datamatics it becomes all the more difficult for the batsmen to chase. Left-arm spinner Nehal Katakdhond who opened the bowling for Datamatics was the star destroyer for Datamatics as he scalped 5/7 in 4 overs which was nothing less than stunning bowling figures. Nehal completely puzzled the batsmen with his spin & 3 out of his 5wkts were clean bowleds. Right-arm medium pacer Premchand Rajbhor also did a wonderful job at the end as he took 3wkts in 4 balls & finished off the game in style.
CCD were all out for 97/10 in 18.4 overs & It was a perfect team work by the Datamatics players as they won the match comfortably by 98 runs. He is very young, with a small frame and an innocent smile, however he is a complete cricketing package wherein he opens the batting coupled with lighting-fast fielding skills and commendable leadership skills.
For a boy whose entire family has been related to cricket right from his 67yr old grandfather Jagdish Jaiswal being a ground-manager at the Dadar Parsee Colony to his father Jayprakash Jaiswal currently giving private cricket coaching at Matunga.The humble background of Ved is finally reaping rewards for his father and his grandfather when they see their grandson/son score as many as 4 back to back double hundreds in the Giles Shield Tournament.
Currently studying in 8thstd, Ved’s father started teaching him cricket when Ved was barely 7years of age. Vedprakash studies at IES VN Sule school & has performed exceptionally well for his school team too (Opener & skipper for his school team).
At the age of 15, Vedprakash has already participated in numerous cricketing tournaments including the prestigious Giles Shield Tournament, Under-14 West Zone Cricket Tournament, Under-14 Future star Tournament and a few more. Ved has also so far represented his school IES VN Sule as a skipper & as an opening batman apart from also representing Mahim Juveniles XI.
In last 8-10 months Ved must have played atleast 20 test matches (2-day test matches) out of which he has scored 9 hundreds which include 4 back to back double hundreds in the Giles Shield Tournament. Ved’s average has been always been in the higher 50’s & the icing on the cake is he is successful as a skipper too.

Rutvik was awarded a certificate of appreciation along with Fireblaze cricket kit bag for his excellent knock of 130 in 61 balls. His knock was laced with 20 fours and 4 massive sixes.
CricketGraph team selected Rutvik for this award since he delivered this knock in a high tension final match of the Under 16 Champions Trophy against the host team of Santosh Academy.
