Mumbai after electing to field first at SRT Ground Kandivali (MCA) restricted Baroda to mere 139 runs in their 1st innings thanks to some really tight bowling by Atharva Poojary (4/38), Arjun Tendulkar (3/42) and Shreyansh Bogar (3/42). The bowlers were spot on and more importantly Mumbai had the right blend of bowling attack in one spinner, one left arm medium pacer and one right arm pacer doing the job.

Mumbai in reply made a healthy total of 321 with three half centuries by Gautam Waghela (67), Manal Kawle (57) and Vaibhav Kalamkar (59). Baroda were in no mood to allow Mumbai to win easily as they made a virtual comeback by scoring 352 runs in their 2nd innings where in Praful Devkate bowled an impressive spell for Mumbai taking 5/58 in 21 overs.

A target of 172 runs for 2nd innings was a mere formality for the Mumbai team as the dangerous Pragnesh took it in his hands to finish the game by scoring a quick 122* off 108 balls laced with 15 fours and 5 sixes and continuing his consistency with the bat.
Mumbai team won the match by 9 wkts and it was definitely a collective team performance which did the job.
Both these names, Swapnil Pradhan and Vikrant Auti have been performing consistently in Mumbai cricket. While Swapnil has been amongst the runs for MIG, Auti smashed his 3rd back to back ton in this year’s Times Shield. What’s more this was also his 2nd double hundred in a span of just 3 matches.

Mumbai Customs after electing to bat first at Worli Sports Club posted a massive total of 519/4 in 114 overs. Swapnil opening the innings went on to score a career best 253 off 356 (26 fours) balls while also engaged in a record breaking 469 run stand with the in-form Vikrant Auti who scored a fluent 215 (298 balls, 22 fours). With 275 runs of running between the wickets, it was a hard working partnership between these two giving us a déjà vu of the days of Dravid & Laxman or Sachin & Kambli.
G.R Mumbai Police A in reply were all out for 205 runs leaving behind a massive trail of 314 runs. Mumbai Customs were again in a strong position at 111/0 with Sachin Wagh (55*) and Parag Khanapurkar (56*) and look poised for a big win.
IES VN Sule batting first posted a massive total of 416/4 with Raj Desmukh scoring a destructive 169 off mere 99 balls. Raj simply took on the bowlers and thrashed them apart making it look like a T20 smashing 24 fours and 1 six to change the game away in a matter of few sessions. Apart from Raj, Vedprakash Jaiswal (68) and Harsh Salunkhe (64*) made crucial contributions taking the team to a match winning total.
BJPC Institution in reply were bundled out for mere 44 runs as two promising bowlers Aryan Phadtare (4/27) and Atahrva Bhosale (4/11) wrecked havoc with the ball.
It was a big win by 372 runs for IES school while Raj simply took the game away with his destructive batting.
Greesnsole Titans after rightly electing to bat first at the Elf Vengsarkar Oval were not only off to a good start but they also posted a mammoth total of 219/2 in 20 overs. Aditya Bhatia opening the innings batted till the very end smashing a brilliant 56 ball 108*taking on the bowlers as well as solidifying his team’s innings. Aditya appeared quite confident in his batting as he smashed 15 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of almost 200.00.
DWS XI in reply were bundled out for 85 runs with Raghuvansh Shourie and Rajeev bagging 3 wkts each as Greensole Titans XI won the match by 134 runs while Aditya remained the highlight performer of the match.
Played at the OFSC Ambernath, ESWA won the toss and decided to put SKN to bat first who were bowled out for 169 in 33 overs. Gaurang Namjoshi from SKN was the top scorer as he helped his team reach a respectable total.Gaurang smashed 58 runs of 42 balls, a knock which was of controlled aggression.
ESWA chasing 170 in 40 overs, were cruising towards the target but were bowled out for 142runs with familiar middle order collapse as last 6 wickets could manage only 36 runs. After loosing 2 wickets within first 2 overs Pramod Nayak along with Sagar Barde and Swapnil steadied the score to 105/3 when the collapse started after fall of Pramod’s wicket. Last 6 wickets fell for meager 36 runs as SKN after a loss in their 1st match made a virtual comeback winning the match by 27 runs.

ESWA and SKN Cricket club took on each other at PDSA, Boisar where SKN team won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of putting a commanding total.
However their decision to bat first backfired as the first match witnessed a clinical performance from team ESWA to take a one up lead in the 7 match series. Spin wizards Saahil Bharat Purohit and Amol Torvi spun a web around team SKN and bundled them for a meagre 61runs in 19.2 overs. Both the bowlers were spot on not allowing the batsman to settle. Saahil who still studies in 10th std gave batsman senior to him a run for the money coming up with envious bowling figures of 5/11 in 5.2 overs while Amol also bagged 4 wkts for 23 runs. Team-mate as well as the owner of ESWA Pramod Nayak speaking exclusively to Cricketgraph shared “In first match Saahil and Amol Torvi stood out as ace spinners bundling SKN for 61 runs. ESWA team chased the score in 9.5 overs but not before loosing 3 top order batsmen. However, they won the match by 7 wkts in a commanding manner and certainly look a strong side to lookout for in this tournament.

Played at the Shivaji Park between Oxford School and Yashodham High School, Yashodham School after electing to bat first were bundled out for mere 61 runs as Viashvik simply made life miserable for the batsman bowling with accuracy and discipline.
Vaishwik from Oxford was the pick of the bowlers coming up with impressive bowling figures of 8/38 in 10.4 overs. Oxford School in reply chased down the score with ease winning the match by 5 wkts.
It was a clean win for Oxford team while Vaishvik was the highlight performer of the match.
Mumbai: Achievers Cricket Academy and Boys Cricket Club cruised with comfortable first round wins in their respective matches in the under-11 T-21 cricket tournament organized by Sanjeevani Cricket Academy (SCA) at the Saffire ground in Bhakti Park, Wadala. Achievers Cricket Academy comfortably beat Royal Cricket Club by six wickets, while Boys Cricket Club secured a convincing ten-wicket win over Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, Oval.
In the first match of the day, Royal CC, after electing to bat first, scored 116/5 as Priyansh Walkar scored a defiant unbeaten 49 off 49 balls. Achievers Cricket Academy chased the target in 19.3 overs with six wickets in hand. Soham Sali top scored with 27 and he was ably supported by Agneya Aadi who chipped in with a useful knock of 17.
In the other match of the day, Boys Cricket Club restricted Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy’s (Oval) batsmen to just 103/4 as Jay Bhanushali scalped three wickets. In the chase, Boys Cricket Club’s batsmen Rohan Karandikar and Yuvraj Mali stitched together a match-winning unbroken partnership to ensure an easy win for their side after their opener, Vedant Singh had to retire on six. Rohan and Yuvraj remained unbeaten on 32 and 26 respectively to take their side to a thumping victory.

Matunga Gymkhana after electing to bowl first on their homeground restricted GSB Sports Club to just 133 runs in 35 overs with their budding all-rounder Ninad Borkar coming up with a match winning bowling spell of 6/19 in 9 overs. Ninad who had displayed his swashbuckling batting and power hitting in Kanga where he top scored his Division with a strike rate of 147.00 now catapulaes the cricketing community with the ball.
In reply, Matunga Gymkhana won the match by 8 wkts chasing it down in just 16.2 overs with opener Dhruv Jawhar remaining unbeaten on 50* (53 balls)
Matunga Gymkhna certainly dominated with Ninad’s 6wtks remaining the highlight performance of the match.
National CC were 246 all out in 42.1 overs after being made to bat first at Cross Maidan. Sumeet Dhekale at no.4 scored a crucial 92 off mere 54 balls and had he reached his hundred it could have been this year’s fastest ton. The bowlers from CCI did an excellent job with with almost everyone chipping in with wickets.
CCI did felt some early jitters with 2 wkts down for 14 runs while chasing but Ajinkya (36)and Aniket(45) steadied the ship while the experienced Sujit Nayak at no.5 rescued his team out of the trouble scoring a suave 107* off 75 deliveries. Sujit who is a naturally aggressive batsman kept playing his natural game and came good smashing 14 fours and 4 sixes. Not only Sujit brought up a stylish ton but he also helped Cricket Club of India to win by 5 wkts in mere 37.3 overs.
