The stadium was okayed by a BCCI inspection team and the wicket is prepared by none other than the experienced Nadeem Memon who is a Wankhede Stadium curator and MCA Apex Council Committee Member. This has also been possible because of MCA Apex Council Member Vihang Sarnaik who is the son of MLA Pratap Sarnaik from Thane. The ground was renovated under Thane Municipal Corporation with a budget of 5-6 crores.

The 1st Ranji Trophy Match at Dadaji Konddev Stadium was conducted on 4th to 6th December, 1982 between Mumbai vs Baroda and the scoring was done by Thane Friendship Cricket Club’s Vivek Morekar who manually maintained the scoring of a first class game without a single mistake!
