Jolly friends Sports Club popularly known as JFSC established in 2013 – was co-founded by Mr. Shiva Konar and a group of friends. JFSC has been organizing cricket tournaments at grassroot levels and sports related events for the past 8 years, since the past couple of years JFSC has spread its operations in the Elite amateur circle. With every passing year JSFC has grown with a stronger determination to serve the cricket industry better. Jfsc has also started its cricket and football academy with more than 200 students.

To everyone’s delight, the Fatima High School Ground where JFSC operates and conducts most its matches, cricket practice and other sporting activities has been completely revamped to ensure a world class experience for all the players and students associated with JFSC.

Now the ground has been renovated & complete revamped. JFSC Ground (Fatima High School Ground) is now equipped with stadium like sports seats, renovated washrooms, LED Score boards, cafeteria, commentary and technical box, hall of fame for bowlers and batters, indoor nets with bowling machines, full size turf for football and fitness, relayed wickets (pitch) and flood lights to play Day- Night Matches. These newly added features and facilities to the ground are bound to provide cricketers and cricket lovers an International Standard experience and every match played on this revamped ground would end up becoming a memorable one.

Played at the iconic CCI Ground, CCI opting to bat first scored 159/8 in 20 overs. Losing some quick wickets, CCI did looked in trouble at one stage, however Sujit Nayak coming at no.5 scored a match winning 63 off 37 balls laced with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Sujit was well supported by wicket-keeper Ajinkya Patil at no.6 who scored an equally important cameo of 38* in 23 balls (4 fours, 1 six). From the bowlers, Sumedh Kamble with 4/35 was the pick of the lot from Regal CC.

Regal CC in reply could only manage 118/7 in 20 overs courtesy some tight bowling by CCI bowlers. Quickster Krutik Hanagawadi took 3/31 in 4 overs while Harshal Soni & Saksham Parashar bagged 2 wickets each.

Result: Cricket Club of India win by 41 runs

Played at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana, MCA 1, Team C opting to bat first scored 223/10 in 44.3 overs and more than half of the team runs were scored by opener Bhupen Lalwani. Opening the innings, Bhupen went on to score a stunning 137 runs off 122 balls, a knock which comprised of 11 fours and 7 sixes. Bhupen smashed some confident looking shots and kept the scoreboard ticking despite wickets losing from the other end. Akash Mishra with 4/18 in 8.3 overs was the pick of the lot from Team A.

Chasing 224, Team A were all out for 114 runs in 32 overs courtesy tight bowling by Team C Bowlers. Rajesh Sardar with 3/24 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.

Result: Team C won by 109 runs

Played at N.R Stadium Chandigarh, Advance Sports Academy (Mumbai) after opting to bat first were all out for 159/10 in 27.5 overs. Skipper Sarth Waghela opening the innings anchored the innings with a solid half century scoring 65 runs off 67 balls (8 fours, 1 six). Even though wickets were tumbling from the other end, Sarth managed to hold his own batting till the 24th over out of the 28 total overs his team faced. From the bowlers, Arghaeep Kundu was the pick of the lot with 4 wickets.

Defending a modest total of 159 runs, Dronacharya School of Cricket (West Bengal) could only manage to score 89/7 in 30 overs courtesy some brilliant tight bowling by Advance Academy bowlers. Almost every bowler chipped in with economical contributions as Advance Cricket Academy won the finals of the tournament in style.

Sarth Waghela was adjudged man of the match in the finals while he was also adjudged the Best All-Rounder and Best Batsman of the tournament.

MIG CC opting to bat first on their MIG CC homeground in Bandra batted well notching up a healthy total of 195/5 in 20 overs. Skipper Kevin Alemida brought in his experience with a yet another impressive knock of 63 runs in just 36 balls smashing 7 fours and 2 sixes. Kevin also stitched a good partnership with Swapnil Salvi who scored 61 runs coming at no.3. Swapnil scored 61 off 40 balls smashing 4 fours and 3 sixes.

In reply, Sainath Sports Club could only muster 106/9 in 230 overs courtesy some tight bowling domination by MIG CC bowlers. Almost all of their strike bowlers chipped in with wickets right from Harsh Tanna (2/13 in 4 overs), Ashay Palkar (3/20 in 4 overs) & Atharva Ankolekar (2/7 in 4 overs). While Ashay was the strike bowler with 3 wkts, Atharva and Harsh also impressed with their economical bowling as MIG CC went on to win the match by 89 runs.

Shivaji Park Gymkhana after being put to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana were all out for 91 runs courtesy some tight bowling by Dadar Union bowlers. All-rounder Khizar Dafedar marked his presence with an impressive bowling spell of 4/28 in 4 overs. Apart from him, Vikas Meena also bowled well taking 3/16 in 3.4 overs clearing the tail.

Chasing 92, Dadar Union Sporting Club did faced some early jitters losing top order wickets but it was a quickfire cameo from Khizar Dafedar (27* off 17) which helped the team sail through with ease. The rest of the batters also chipped in as Dadar Union won the match by 3 wickets and 4 wkts to spare.

In the ongoing Talim Shield T20 Tournament, Parkophene Cricketers beat strong D Y Patil Sports Academy team in the 2nd League match played at Wankhede Stadium.

Winning the toss, DY Patil team opted to bat but could manage to score 129 all out in 19.2 overs. Deepak Shetty accounted for prize wickets of Bravish Shetty, Arman Jaffer & Aman Khan to finish with 3 for 27, Ankur Singh took 3 for 29 which included wickets of Shubham Ranjane, Hardik Tamore & Sairaj Patil. Bravish topscored with 41.

In reply Parkophene CC were struggling at 23 for 4, Mohit Awasthi bowling a terrific spell of Inswing bowling to take 3 prime wickets of Bhupen Lalwani, Prasad Pawar & Deepak Jaiswal. Thereafter Japjeet Randhawa played a lone hand to score 66 Not out which included 3 huge 6’s and 4 4’s and Ankur Singh scored crucial 18 runs to close the game with Japjeet.

It was a terrific game which any side could have won, but Japjeet Randhawa made the difference by scoring more than half the runs.

Played at MCA Ground, BKC, Bhatnagar Sports Club after opting to bat first posted a total of 174/7 in 20 overs.  Even though, their team did not have any big individual scores but most of their players chipped in with starts with Harsh Rane (38) and Sachin Rao (35) being the highest scorers. From the bowlers, Aryan Badhe with 2/15 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot for Victory CC.

Chasing 175, opener Kaushik Chikhlikar single handedly turned the game around with a match winning knock of 97 runs in 55 balls.  Kaushik took on the bowlers with absolute ease and some really clean hits. Kaushik’s innings included a stunning 8 sixes alongwith 5 boundaries at a strike rate of close to 177.00. The rest of the players batted around him as Victory CC chased down the score in 18.5 overs winning the match by 7 wickets.

Kaushik fell short of just 3 runs on what could have been the 1st century in any Top Division MCA Tournament for this season.
