The Wonderers were bowled out for just 96 as Arya Gandhi claimed 3 and Shramik Shettgar took 5. The Sporting Union has the upper hand since the beginning of the game. Aayush Makwana scored a sprinty 85 off just 89 balls alongside Vedant Toprani scoring 73 off 88 for the Sporting Union who scored a mammoth 291 in just 60 overs. Although, Jay Bhanushali displayed immense character as he purchased an impressive 7 wickets to his name but in the context of the game, it wasn’t enough.

Reet Cricket Academy was founded a year ago in 2021. They celebrated their 1- year anniversary with great grandeur. An exhibition match between Reet Cricket Club and Vinz Cricket Club was organized. It was a fun-filled event with great on-field and off-field performances and entertainment.

Reet Cricket Club is an epitome of a splendid infrastructural execution. This state-of-art ground has a flawless circumference, quick outfield and as many as four pitches at its core. With its strong substratum, the Club hosts an extensive pavilion which can accommodate over 200 spectators. Clean drinking water with availability of hygienic restrooms and sanitation, changing rooms and a spacious parking lot makes it a much sought-after ground in the circuit. The Club also presents the option of pay-to-use swimming pool.

Reet Cricket Club organised around 600 matches last year. The tournaments completed by this club are the Big Bash 2021 Business Owners League, Hyderabad Chartered Accounts Champion Trophy, Independence Cup, and RCC Champions League.

Reet Cricket Club hosts numerous competitive cricket tournaments. After their inaugural event, they intend to have an action-packed season and give impetus to young cricketers. Its upcoming tournaments include the Battle of the Brands, Community Cricket Leagues, and Elite Professional League.

Sportsfield triumphed in Sontosh Kumar Ghosh Trophy Organized by Sporting Union Club and Kalyandas Memorial Sports Foundation AJINKYA NAIK, SURAJ SAMAT, SANJAY NAIK, against Sainath SC in round 1.
Batting first, Sainath were bowled out for just 151 as Chirag Modak claimed 4 of the 10 wickets. Saransh Sharma tried his best as he scored 44. The Sainath innings lasted for only 75.3 as Day 1 was brought to a close.
Sports Field CC dominated as they hammered 324 in just 64.2 overs. Varad Sakharkhar scored an emphatic ton to bring Sportsfield in a commanding position. Hrishikesh Chavan also came close to a century as he scored 88. Dev Damania (4/84) and Kinshuk Barti (3/67) tried their level best but the batting duo were a handful.
Taking the first innings lead, Sportsfield CC qualify to the next round of the Ghosh Trophy.

Batting first, Police Gymkhana managed to score a modest 204 in 77 overs as Jaineel Nanda top scored with 73 and was supported well by Aryan Prabhakar who had 43 runs to his name. Atharva Kamble claimed 5 wickets for the Kamat Memorial.
Chasing, Kamat Memorial scored only 141 as they were bowled out in 60 overs. Rohan Patil’s 57 was in vain as no other batsman was able to stand their ground. Saad Khan took 5 wickets giving away only 46 as Pratapraj Pulla claimed 5.

Harshvardhan Barmukh led the charge as he scored 53 and was well supported by Lokesh Mistry who had 41 runs to his name. The Cavaliers managed to put on board a decent 205 as they were bowled out in 60 overs. From SPG, Shivanand Nadar claimed six wickets in an exceptional spell.
SPG had no response as they were bamboozled and bowled out for just 80 runs. No batsman had answers to the magical bowling of Kartikey Shukla. Shukla gave away only 24 and and took 7 wickets in an exceptional display. As SPG were enforced to a follow on, Mann Bhanushali stepped up and purchased 5 wickets as SPG managed to score only 4 runs more. Despite of Aniket Singh and Swarup Rane’s efforts, SPG could only score 129.

Rahane to captain Mumbai for Syed Mushtaq Ali KO matches
Mumbai: Ajinkya Rahane is named captain of the 15-member Mumbai team that will participate in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy knockouts, starting with the Preliminary quarter-final, to be played in Kolkata from 30th October to 5th November, 2022.
The Senior Selection Committee of the Mumbai Cricket Association consisting of Salil Ankola (chairman), Gulam Parkar, Sunil More, Prasad Desai and Jeetendra Thackeray selected the players to represent Mumbai.

MCA suspends Kanga League tournament
Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) during its Apex Council meeting on Friday has decided to suspend further matches of Dr. H D Kanga League 2022-2023 due to non-completion of five matches of A & B Division. This decision was taken in pursuance to Rule no 11(d) of the Rules for Dr. H D Kanga League 2022-2023.
The Inter Hospital T20 Cricket Series presented by Ideal Sports Academy, Omni Global Sports and Ideal group is starting from 1st November 2022 till the 28th November.
The draws for the Inter Hospital bout is highly anticipated as 12 teams go head-to-head for the championship. Group B among the 4 groups is expected to be the toughest as former winners Nanavati is pooled with Lilawati and Breach Candy Hospital. All teams are considered to be contenders this year.

On 27th October, the 10th season of the infamous Sontosh Kumar Ghosh Trophy Organized by Sporting Union Club and Kalyandas Memorial Sports Foundation AJINKYA NAIK, SURAJ SAMAT, SANJAY NAIK, KALYANDAS MEMORIAL SPORTS FOUNDATION was inaugurated at the Shivaji Park. Returning back after a span of 2 years, the Ghosh Trophy for the U-16 boys was inaugurated by Mumbai Cricket Association’s Chief Secretary Ajinkya Naik and MCA Committee Member Abhay Hadap.

After the qualifier, the official tournaments are scheduled to begin from 27th of October. Talented boys from the under 16 age group will compete in a 2-day test match format.
Amol Kale, the recently elected President of the Mumbai Cricket Association made his presence felt on the final day of the K.C Mahindra Shield, on the very first day of taking charge of the MCA post. The K.C Mahindra Shield is organized by the MCA for U-19 players trying to secure a place for the state team. The tournament has been in MCA’s season calendar for numerous years as players like Prithvi Shaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal and numerous other current Ranji Trophy players have competed in the K.C Mahindra Shield.

MCA President, Amol Kale, along with other MCA officials was present at Karnataka SC on Cross Maidan receiving a warm welcome by the members and budding cricketers. Mr. Kale motivated the U-19 cricketers as he shared a few words of wisdom.

President Amol Kale also presented the K.C Mahindra Shield’s winner trophy and felicitated key players from the U-19 team after the completion of the game at Karnataka SC. His presence boosted the morals of the players and present MCA members.
