The ever-so-consistent Ajay Mishra is now a force to be reckoned with considering his outstanding performances, one of which came in the Times Cricket Shield and the other for Young Comrade Shield.
After starring for Payyade Sports Club in December last year, Ajay Mishra’s dominating performance in both the departments separates him from the rest. Here’s a breakdown of his performance in both the tournaments.
Times Cricket Shield
After being put in to bowl by the opposition ,Ajay Mishra emerged as the leading wicket-taker for Mafatlal Cricket Club as they were able to restrict Viva Supermarket for a mere total of 163 in 43.1 overs in the first innings. He took 5 wickets for 53 runs in 15 overs, including 3 maiden overs at the Sainath Sports Club, Navi Mumbai.
Ajay Mishra’s outstanding performance in the second innings, where he took 6 wickets for just 41 runs in 14.4 overs, solidified his reputation as a cricket star.
Although Mafatlal CC came just one run short when they were chasing 250 in the second innings, a much better performance in the second innings with the ball makes Ajay Mishra one of the players to watch out for.
Young Comrade Shield
Ajay Mishra also starred for Payyade Sports Club in their match against Regal Sports Club held at Karnatak. In his 12 overs of left-arm spin in the second innings of the game, he managed to concede 33 runs and picked up 4 crucial wickets in the process.
However, his performance with the ball wasn’t the highlighting aspect of this game. It was his quickfire half-century off just 15 balls that added value to his performance with the ball.
His innings, which included 6 sixes and one four, demonstrated his swashbuckling all-around talent.
