CRICKETGRAPH

Cricketgraph was the 1st to report the success story of WNS team selected to play in an International tournament like “Malaysia Super Sixes” and now another good news is WNS Mumbai who participated for the 1st time in an International Tournament finished at a overall 3rd place & also won Group A Winners Trophy which is definitely quite appreciation worthy considering that it was a local team of Mumbai participating against big teams in such a big tournament where players like Ajanta Mendis, Dushan Silva,Gunakeratne and a host of other international players from big leagues were their opponents. A success story which should definately make the people of Mumbai as well as India proud.

WNS team really did an amazing job in their first international outing & it was also good to see all players showing a great character by playing extra ordinary cricket. Players like Mandar Garude, Rahul Kirodian and Aditya Nikam were the stars in WNS success. Also credit must be given to the Captain Kiran Desai as well, as he really did an awesome job in leading the team & keeping the boys motivated. Captain Kiran used his bowlers and batsman as per their strengths & that’s what created a synergy in the team. SAG India who sponsored the team is also very happy with the team’s performance and promised WNS to take to Malaysia every year.

Also credit must go to SAG India who gave this wonderful opportunity to the players and took the responsibility of sponsoring them. They showed generosity & it was their whole-hearted involvement emotionally, physically and financially which also played a big role in WNS’s success in their very 1st outing.

It was also great to see Malaysian cricket club offering some of the WNS players to play for their Malaysian team while the WNS players expressed their desire to play for WNS only proving their love and loyalty towards the game.

It was a tough match between two promising teams namely Hindustan Tiles & Centurion. It was the all-important semi-finals of the tournament where Hindustan Tiles won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of putting a big score on the board.

Batting first, the centurion bowlers really did a commendable job with the ball restricting HT to just 119/8 in 20 overs which is surely not the best of the scores to defend in a semi final of a T20 match. Right arm spinner Aakash Singhal bowled a very effective spell of 4/14 in 4 overs taking important wickets at the right time. From HT, Mayank was the highest scorer with a 26ball 23 followed by some quick 20(16) & 22(14) by Tarun & Pawan.

Akash losing team best performer (1)

Chasing 120 is not a big deal in a T20 match but HT bowlers just did a stunning job with the ball & gave an excellent tough fight restricting the opposition to just 114/8 in 20 overs.  Naveen Chand smashed a solid run-a-ball 37 but the rest of the batsman could not fire when it was needed. Vinay was the pick of the bowler taking 3/15 while all-rounder Pawan also took 3wkts while giving away runs at less than 6runs per over.

Hindustan Tiles won the semi-finals and enter the finals while Pawan was declared ‘man of the match’. Aakash’s perfomance was also worth mentioning. Cricketgraph congratulates HT boys and wishes them luck for an exciting finals soon.

We all know that Mumbai has some of the best ground facilities and turfs to practice even during monsoons but because of Indoor Grounds like Nannaware Sports Foundation, Pune doesn’t like lag behind either when it comes to the best indoor grounds to practice during monsoons.

If you are staying in Pune & looking for a good indoor ground, this is the place where you can really get in touch with your favorite sport. Most of the professional level cricketers are made to take a break from their daily cricketing routine because of the lack of places to play or practice during monsoon. It indirectly results and affects their form, fitness and technique because they stop playing cricket for almost 3 to 4 months. Also for professional cricketers, it is important to consistently practice and stay in touch with the game as a long break can rust the technique a bit. Also most of the players start playing & participate in some or the other cricket tournaments once the monsoon is over. So one needs to be mentally & physically ready for that!

Nannaware indoor ground has proper net facilities and a monsoon fitness camp is also going on where players can participate under the professional guidance of coaches. This indoor ground is located in Pune at C/O SM Joshi High school near Hutching School. We certainly believe monsoon should not come in between a cricket lover and professional players. Hence put on your kit bag, get ready & start practicing at the Nannaware Sports Foundation!

It was the 1st quarter-final match between two promising teams namely Reefit Warriors and Evalueserve at Gurgaon where in Reefit Warriors won the toss & elected to bat first considering that pitch was looking good enough to bat first.

The decision to bat first was quite rewarding as their right handed batsman Ankit Thakran made   complete mayhem of the bowlers scoring an effortlessly brutal 77 off just 27balls which included just 4 fours but as many as 7sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike. Aashish(35 off 20) & Harish Bedi(30 off 20) also chipped in with their quick 30’s taking their team score to cross the 200run mark at 209/6 in 20 overs. For Evalueserve rahul took 3/26 while harshit took 2/31 in 3 overs.

Chasing 210 at more than 10 runs per is always a harrowing task and Evalueserve found it tough to cope up with the pressure of chasing managing to reach only 134/6 in 20 overs. Arjun was the highest scorer with a 28ball 36 but the rest of the batsman could not fire. Aman, Manoj & Rahul all chipped in with some economical bowling figures while also taking a wicket each.

Reefit Gym Warriors won the match and enter into the semi-finals while Ankit T was declared ‘man of the match’ for his dashing knock. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team for their win while also wishes them luck for their future encounters.

CRICKETGRAPH

After an intenseful year for all the probables who have performed consistently at the local level. The final list of 35players is out on 10th of July by MCA which has some of the names who have performed tremendously well over the last 6-8 months.

While the all players are immensely talented but we at Cricketgraph had the opportunity to witness the growth of many players from their scratch or we can say from their beginning in cricket. We are extremely glad to see players like Vedprakash Jaiswal who had scored 4 double centuries in the Giles Shield this year to Suryansh Shedge who scored the fastest triple hundred in the world followed by consistent performance over the year making into the list.

Also players like Ayush Zimare (all-rounder), talented Satyam chaudhary, Sahil Shetty who recently took a 7wkt haul in the Kalpesh Koli Tournament, all-rounder Yashaswi Jaiswal, Musheer Khan(batsman), Aman Manihar (who took a lot of wickets in the Kalpesh Koli Tournament) amongst other players who have evolved greatly as professional cricket players.

The off-season training camp will be very important for the players as it will not only improve their fitness and technique but will also make them ready for the grueling tournaments which will start once the rainy season is over. Also this camp will play an important role in their final MCA team selection.

The off season training camp may commence from the end part of July(the dates are still not out) while it will be carried on till October which will include a host of activities for the selected boys which include working out on their fitness, indoor cricket practice, ground fielding practice & drills and also matches occasionally.

Exclusively speaking to Satyam Chaudhary (who is in the list} He said “ It’s a good feeling to get selected but at the same time have to work hard to get into the final playing XI”

Jay Jain who was in the list of top 50 but missed out on the top 36 also had the same thing to say ”Just getting into the probables is good but not enough as getting selected for the Mumbai team is the ultimate aim”

We spoke to various players and all were happy for their progress while at the same time they were looking forward to work hard even more.

We at Cricketgraph congratulate every player for their successful selection while we also wish all the boys luck for a great cricketing year ahead.

Played at Gurgaon between Lion Warriors &  where Warriors won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of making a big total. The pitch was decent to bat on but it wasn’t the best of the days in the office for Lion Warriors.

Batting first, Lion warriors were skittled out for just 88/10 in 17.2overs. Rakesh did score a solid 35 off 41balls while Inder chipped in with an 18ball 17 but the rest of the batsman could not convert their starts into something substantial. Right-arm fast bowler Vishal J took 4/17 in 4 overs while Kamal & Vishak C took 3wkts each to make it a very strong bowling perfomance.

Chasing 89 was not the toughest of tasks for Cricketer’s XI as they successfully chased down the score in mere 8.4 overs. All-rounder Vishal scored a 15ball 19 while Rishav & Anubhav chipped in with quick 19 & 13*

Cricketer’s XI won the match by 7wkts and all-rounder Vishal J was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Vishal & the winning team while also luck to both the teams for a great tournament year ahead.

Played at the MR Vivekananda ground in Delhi, it was the 2nd semi-final of the Master Taksham Tournament where in Rohtak Road Gymkhana clashed with the talented boys of Sehwag Academy.

Batting first, Sehwag Academy was all-out for 81/10 which was a below par score considering it was the semi finals of the tournament. While Sanjeev Kumar top scored with 20, it was a collectively good bowling perfomance where in Vashu Jawalia was the pick of the bowlers with 2/7 while Anshul Sehrawat & Deepanshu Gulia took 2/21 & 2/10 respectively.

Chasing 82, it was a mere formality for the RRG boys as they chased down the score successfully with a loss of just 2wkts and won the semi-finals by 8wkts. Shresth Yadav top scored with 31 while all-rounder Anshul Sehrawat remained unbeaten on 29* finishing up the chase in style.

RRG won the semis and qualify for the finals while Anshul Sehrawat was declared ‘man of the match’ for his promising all-round perfomance. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes both the teams in the finals all the luck for a great match.

CRICKETGRAPH

Well we all know that right after the end of the monsoon season starts grueling cricket tournaments both at the local, semi-domestic, domestic and international level. All professional cricketers be it from school level, club or corporate are usually on a break for 3 to 4 months during the monsoon season as you hardly get any place where you can work out, play or train on improving your game.

Hence, it is equally important to not lose your touch and focus from the game as 3 to 4 months can make a player technically disattached from professional cricket affecting the form, fitness and technique. Hence these are the best months to get yourself ready for the post monsoon cricket where majority of us will be playing in some or the other tournaments. Hence we at Cricketgraph thought of bringing out a list of places or academies where you can work hard, get trained and not lose your touch with your favorite sport i.e is cricket!

Various sorts of net practice, indoor matches if players are enough, different exercises and drills under the guidance of professionals and a lot of other activities are carried on these grounds.

After the rain affected delay in conducting the semi-finals, the much awaited semi-final this began at the MR Vivekananda School in Dwarka between Sonnet Club & MRV Academy. MRV Academy who have been one of the better and powerful teams of the tournament were toppled by the talented boys of Sonnet club in a low scoring affair.

Batting first, Sonnet Club were all out for 91 runs which wasn’t the best of the scores to defend in a semi-final. MRV Academy did a great job with the ball as they restricted the opposition to a low total.  Rahul Bagh was the highest scorer for Sonnet with a fighting 30 but lacked support from the other end while Laksh Sehrawat (3/4) & Himanshu Vashishtha ( 3/11) took 6wkts together while conceding only 15 runs which did most of the damage to the Sonnet’s batting line up.

Chasing 92 should not be the toughest of tasks and especially for MRV boys who have performed well throughout the tournament but as we say the luck favors the brave as Sonnet bowlers gave their best and restricted MRV to 80/all-out where in Yuvraj Rathi was the highest scorer with 25. Aaryan Vashisht with 3/15 & Yash Chaidhary with 3/20 did the job for Sonnet as they cleaned up the MRV’s batting line up taking crucial wickets at the right time.

With this win, Sonnet Club win the semi-finals and enter into the finals of the tournament while Aaryan Vashisht was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team and also wishes luck for the finals while appreciates the tough fight given by both the teams.
