Kotak Mahindra Sports Club (A) narrowly won against Deutsch Bank by just 20 runs in the Inter-Bank T-20. Batting first, Kotak scored a total of just 136 in 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Manoj Chaurasia’s incredible innings of 50 off 41 made sure the team got to a competitive total giving his team a chance to fight back. 

In the second innings Deutsch had a tough outing with the bat as they were restricted to just 116 in 20 overs. Kotak’s bowlers executed their plans accurately to defend the target. The Scorchers lit up the game against GGN Titants in the WkDay Knight League T20 in Gurgaon. After batting first, Scorchers scored a record total of 271 in their quota of  20 overs, losing just 3 wickets in the process. The openers, Sooraj Bhalla and Kamesh raised havoc with an unreal opening partnership of 265, batting till the end of the 19th over.

Wicketkeeper-batsmen Sooraj faced 57 balls for his 129 smashing a total of 21 boundaries including 5 massive sixes meanwhile Kamesh took 58 balls to score his 121 runs with 6 fours and 9 sixes to his name. Both batsmen scored comfortably with a strike rate of above 200. Needless to say there wasn’t much batting left for their teammates.

Balpreet Singh Saini of the Vasant Vihar High School guided his team to victory once again in the ongoing Inter-school Giles Shield Tournament against Balmohan Vidya Mandir. After winning the toss, Balmohan elected to set a target. Their batsmen could manage a total of only 162 in 32.3 overs. No batter crossed the 30-run mark in their dismal batting performance. Vasant Vihar’s tight bowling set the platform for the batsmen to chase down the target. Pratham Patel, Vedant Chauhan and Neer Jain, all claimed 2 wickets each in the first innings. 

 Opening the innings, Balpreet Singh Saini anchored one side and scored a match winning knock of 80. His 97 ball inning was well supported by Parth Panchmati who contributed 35 off 57 in a crucial 88-run partnership. Eventually, Vasant Vihar sealed the game with 5 wickets in hand. 

Sule Guruji School, Dadar won in an emphatic victory with a margin of 265 runs against CNM Vile Parle. After batting first, Sule Guruji scored a total of 294 in just 45 overs. Prachit Amkar contributed 66 while Shaurya Narvekar also chipped in crucial 61 runs for his team but it was the destructive innings of Ved Tendulkar which pushed the target. Sule Guruji lost only 5 wickets in their innings. In eply, CNM, Vile Parle had a disappointing outing with the bat as they were bowled out for an embarrassing 28 runs in just 20 overs. Aarav Gupta’s impreesive spell of 3/9 made sure the CNM batsmen were walking back to the pavilion. Overall, it was a dominating game for Sule but a dismal performance by CNM>

New Hind Sporting Club and Payyade Sports Club locked horns against each other in match number 19 (Group B) of the Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament. New Hind Sporting Club won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first, New Hind Sporting Club were bowled out for 222 in 58 overs. Pranav Kela top-scored with an unbeaten 99. Rugved More (48) and Parikshit Valsangkar (34) were the other major contributors with the bat for New Hind Sporting Club. On the other hand, for Payyade Sports Club, Himanshu Singh was the wrecker-in-chief with 51/5. Dhrumil Matkar bowled well in tandem with Singh as he scalped 6/3.

In reply, Payyade Sports Club made light work of the run chase as they completed the formalities in 60.3 overs with five wickets in hand. Omkar Ghule led the run chase from the front with an undefeated 85. Ghule found able allies in Dhrumil Matkar (41 not out) and Japeet Singh Randhawa (41) as the trio steered their side home. On the other hand, for New Hind Sporting Club, Parikshit Valsangkar was the most successful bowler with 73/3.

MCA Colts hand a crushing 282-run defeat to Sind Sports Club in match number 20 (Group B) of the Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament. MCA Colts won the toss and elected to bat.

Opting to bat first, MCA Colts piled up a massive score of 420/7 in 70 overs, taking the opposition bowlers to the cleaners. Tanmay Mishra starred with the bat, smashing 118, and Aryan Patni blasted a delightful 93. Siddhant Singh (39) also joined the party with the bat. On the other hand, for Sind Sports Club, Aditya Dhumal was the most successful bowler, with 114/4. 

In reply, Sind Sports Club were skittled out for a paltry 138 in 34.1 overs, losing the match by a comprehensive margin of 282 runs. Satyalaksh Jain fought hard for his 70 but failed to find a company to take his team home. On the other hand, for MCA Colts, Siddhant Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 74/4.
