Teleperformance D.I.B.S demolished DMCC Sports Club by an innings and 134 runs during the Times Shield ‘B’ Division match. DMCC Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana in Mumbai.
DMCC Sports Club were bowled out for a paltry 136 in 39.1 overs. Nisar Shaikh was the lone warrior in the fight with 58 off 75, including nine boundaries. On the other hand, Teleperformance D.I.B.S’ Akshay Darekar wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 53/5 in 15 overs.
In reply, Teleperformance D.I.B.S posted a mammoth 416/8 in 90.1 overs and took a healthy lead of 280 runs. Sagar Chhabria (116) and captain Raunaq Sharma (104 not out) were the major contributors with the bat for Teleperformance D.I.B.S. Karan Shah also made a useful contribution of 63. On the other hand, DMCC Sports Club’s Ankit Vishwakarma was the pick of the bowlers with 125/3 in 28.1 overs.

The highly anticipated Mumbai Cricket Association’s Members Premier League Season 3 starting from the 13th of February in 2023 have announced their prime sponsors for the tournament. The tournament is exclusively for the members of the MCA Club at BKC who will participate in competitive games at the Somaiya Cricket Ground.
Before the tournament starts, there will be an auction where the teams have an opportunity to purchase players and build a championship worthy team. The auction will take place on 13th January 2023 at 25 South Prabhadevi.
The title sponsor for the tournament are the IDFC First Bank. The IDFC First Bank have been the title sponsors since the previous season as well and have contributed towards the massive success of the exclusive competition.

Little Star CA Powai and GPCC clashed against each other during the MD Memorial Cup on January 3. Little Star CA Powai won the toss and elected to bat.
Batting first, Little Star CA Powai were restricted to a humble 107/8 in 20 overs. Priyanshu Rajbhar (22) and Arush Pundle (23) were the major contributors with the bat. On the other hand, GPCC’s Sidhant Desai and Fahad Shaikh were the most successful bowlers, with two scalps apiece.
In response, GPCC cruised to the target in 13 overs and won the match by eight wickets. Captain Vedang Mishra led the run chase from the front with an undefeated 36 off 22, peppering the boundary rope eight times. On the other hand, Little Star CA Powai’s Arush Pundle was the lone wicket-taker, with 24/2 in four overs.
Samvedi Kalpavriksha CA and RC Sports Club locked horns against each other during the MD Memorial Cup on January 5. RC Sports Club won the toss and elected to field.
Put into bat first, Samvedi Kalpavriksha CA posted 130/6 in 20 overs. Opening batter Hridhaan Mistry top-scored with a 55-ball 51 and smashed five boundaries in his innings. On the other hand, RC Sports Club’s Soham Kadam and Divit Shah were the most successful bowlers, with two wickets each.
In reply, RC Sports Club fought hard but failed to overhaul the target. They were restricted to 115/9 in 20 overs and lost the match by 15 runs. Vasu Gupta led the run chase from the front with 31 off 26, including three hits to the fence. On the other hand, Samvedi Kalpavriksha CA’s Samarth Mudgal was the pick of the bowlers with 14/2 in four overs.
Sind Sports Club took on Payyade Sports Club on January 7 and 8 during the Young Comrade Shield. Payyade Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat.
Riding on Japjeet Randhawa’s brilliant century, Payyade Sports Club posted 218 in 47.5 overs. Randhawa (108) was the lone warrior in the fight and failed to find able allies. He played some stunning shots in his innings and ran well between the wickets. On the other hand, Sind Sports Club’s Vikas Singh and Aditya Dhumal were the wreckers-in-chief with the ball. The duo scalped four wickets apiece.
In reply, Sind Sports Club overhauled the target in 53.1 overs and won the match by two wickets. Satyalaksh Jain led the run chase from the front with a scintillating 70. Atharva Chavan (42 not out) and Awais Khan (35) were the other major contributors with the bat for Sind Sports Club. On the other hand, Payyade Sports Club’s Deepak Shetty and Sagar Mishra were the most successful bowlers, with three scalps each.
Khar Gymkhana handed a crushing 197-run defeat to Fort Vijay Cricket Club during the Young Comrade Shield. The match was played on January 7 and 8. Khar Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat.
Khar Gymkhana piled up a mammoth total of 384/8 in 70 overs, thanks to Wasim Jaffer, who packed a punch with a delightful 170. Jaffer took the opposition bowlers to the cleaners with his breathtaking shots. Riday Khandke (70) and Mehboob Shaikh (55 not out) gave him company. Khandke and Shaikh struck half-centuries to steer their team to a comprehensive score. On the other hand, Fort Vijay Cricket Club’s Abul Kalam was the most successful bowler, with 84/3.
In reply, Fort Vijay Cricket Club were bowled out for a paltry 187 in 54.4 overs and lost the match by 197 runs. Siddhant Rai fought hard for his 57 but could not take his team closer to Khar Gymkhana’s total. On the other hand, Khar Gymkhana bowlers had a great outing as they efficiently ran through the Fort Vijay Cricket Club’s batting line-up. Ajay Mishra and Aatif Shaikh were the two wicket-takers. While Mishra scalped 82/6, Shaikh claimed 43/4.
In a nail-biting thriller, Parkophene Cricketers beat Dadar Union Sports Club by 17 runs during the Young Comrade Shield. Parkophene Cricketers won the toss and elected to bat in that game that was played on January 7 and 8.
Batting first, Parkophene Cricketers posted a respectable score of 258 in 64.2 overs. Raunaq Sharma top-scored with an undefeated 68. Akhil Herwadkar (47) and Bhupen Lalwani (36) made valuable contributions with the bat for Parkophene Cricketers. On the other hand, Dadar Union Sports Club’s Shubham Pandey was the pick of the bowlers, accounting for 79/3.
In response, Dadar Union Sports Club fought hard and almost chased down the total. They were bundled out for 241 in 52.4 overs and fell shy of 17 runs. Ayaz Khan (74), Siddharth Akre (46), and Nikhil Patil (34) were the major contributors with the bat. On the other hand, Parkophene Cricketers’ Dhanit Raut, Prayag Kumar, and Minad Manjrekar were the most successful bowlers, claiming three wickets apiece.
B Division Times Shield Game played at New Hind in Matunga witnessed one of the best all-round performances in Times Shield. Playing for CGST against Bombay Division, Sagar Mishra claimed 6 wickets in first innings as Bombay Division were bowled out for just 80 runs. In his 9 overs, he conceded just 34 runs as well. After a skillful display of bowling, Mishra played a vital innings with the bat by contributing 65 runs as CGST scored 259 and gained a crucial first innings lead.
In the second innings as well, Mishra claimed 3 wickets as Bombay Division were dismissed for 172. CGST won the game in an ouright with bonus fashion with Mishra being a major contributor as a player and the captain.
New Hindu CC had a dominant victory against Errant Cricketers in the ongoing Bombay Junior Shield 2022-23. Played at Western Railway at Cross Maidan, New Hindu elected to bat first and scored a mammoth 339 in 45 overs losing just 2 wickets in the process.
All 4 batsmen capitalized the conditions passing the 50-run mark. Opener Shaurya Sharan scored 63 alongside his partner Aadit Degaonkar who scored a dominating 99. He missed out on a deserving century after facing 84 innings. After their dismissal, Ryan Deshmukh and Aditya Suryawanshi hammered 76 each as they both finished off the innings. The former took 58 balls as the latter faced 55 balls. The Errant bowler’s were unsuccessful to say the least.
With a huge target to chase, New Hindu CC wrapped up Errant cricketers for just 82 runs in the 26th over. Rishi Shah claimed 6 wickets in his 8 over spell giving away just 16 runs with 3 maidens. His spell helped them advance in the knock out tournament as New Hindu CC won by 257 runs.
MIG won the Invitational Police Shield 2022-23 against Parsee Gymkhana in a dominating fashion which was played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Mumbai from 6th to 8th January.
After winning the toss, Parsee elected to field first which proved to be costly as MIG thrashed an amassing total of 366 on board by 75 overs. Varun Lavande scored 84 as keeper Vedant Murkar contributed 78. There were a few other crucial chip ins by the middle order batsmen which contributed towards the total.
In reply, Parsee were bowled out for 285 in just the 40th over. Vaibhav Kalamkar, Aakarshit Gomel and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scoring half centuries but still being 84 runs behind. The MIG left arm duo of Atharva Ankolekar and Shreyas Gurav derailed the Parsee batting unit as they claimed 4 wickets each.
With a healthy lead, MIG entered the field with a purpose. By the end of the third innings, MIG declared at 285/8 with Atharva Ankolekar hammering 86 and Murkar contributing crucial 51 in the second innings again. Despite Sehdge’s 3 wickets, Parsee had a total of 370 to clinch the title.
With a massive target to chase, Parsee Gymkhana crumbled by the 23rd over itself, losing all 10 wickets for 136. Harsh Tanna took 3 wickets with Gurav claiming 5 wickets in the second innings as well as MIG prevailed with 233 runs in hand.
The title winning MIG team was coached by Karan Nandey who himself is a successful club cricketer. Karan, head his personal academy as well namely the KN Sports Cricketgraph Academy which is under the Cricketgraph Academy Partnership Program.
